I haven't seen anything this devoid of life since I hung out with Kristen Stewart....Cut to generic Family Guy cut-away.

http://www.forbes.co...xpanded-ending/

Nothing that hasn't been reported already, but Forbes finally got on the story.

I'm surprised Forbes has had so many articles about this ending deal. Not that I'm complaining when they've generally been a source of support, but it just seems unusual when stories reporting these kinds of details are being associated with a business-centric site. Regarding this particular story, it's good to know, but I'd consider it more newsworthy if those particular characters weren't returning in some capacity.

The electricity in my apartment was out for almost 5 hours just now in the middle of the day. Was not fun, lol.

Oh I hate when that happens, but at least it was during the day. It's worse when it happens at night!

I suppose so, yeah. But it's not fun dealing with high time Indian heat (even if the city I'm in isn't too bad). The ceiling fan doesn't work in that time. Was too annoyingly hot to continue studying. Or to even take a nap.

Last time I was in India, I thanked my dad for having an airconditioner. Going back in about a month, hope the AC is still working. Seems power outages at night till morning where I live.

"They were saying there’s a little bit of a problem with the abruptness of the ending"

Hmm... You don't say. Lol.

"So we did a whole series of things to add to the end of the game."

And what exactly does that mean? You had better not be talking about extra cutscenes there Hackett.

Will Bioware get the message that they need to do more than just basically build around what they have? Still doubt that they did.

The more remote the location, the longer the power outages. They're actually planned there.

Though I live in Bangalore, and when they happen there's generally something wrong. But they're still very, very common. Like I said Bangalore heat is not so bad comparatively, but it's been horrible recently. Wish I had AC myself.

I'm not sure about Bangalore, I live in Tamil Nadu.

My personal knowledge of the Tamil Nadu is pretty limited. Seems like a pretty awesome place overall. One thing I know for sure is it's a place where they make many horrible movies, lol.

Terrible special effects there. It's a nice place as long as it rains periodically. Can't really think of anything else right now (Trying to figure out derivatives and partial fraction decomposition all at once).

Interview with Gamble. Nothing solid, but at least he mentions DLC.

Was pretty generic, lol.

One thing I found funny was how he was talking about how he took ME2 and LotSB and the fan approval it of as his proudest moment, and didn't mention the fan reaction to ME3 otherwise in the interview. Because I suppose artistic integrity and cash money take greater precedence with that game.

That and EAs PR department would probably have his spleen with beans if he did. But at this point I'm pathetic enough to feel slight twinge of happiness if the DLC is even mentioned.

And he does mean DLCs, in plural, so I guess that's comforting for those individuals who were at least neutral with the ending, and are looking forward to other DLCs.

I know. I didn't actually expect him to say anything like that. Especially not in a Bioware Blog interview. Was just pointing out the contradictory nature of it all. They don't seem to care about that fan response unless it equals revenue in some way.

Am also wondering if he'll find Max Payne 3 to be underwhelming like he said he thought Diablo 3 was. There was another game that came out recently... Something Effect 3 or the other. I wonder if he has played that yet. I'm sure that won't be underwhelming and disappointing for him in any way.

I really wonder what they would plan for more SP dlcs. More delivery quests? Maybe have Shepard waiting in line at the post office.

I know they are gonna make a Retake Omega dlc, but what else could they have planned? More generic missions where you land in generic factory, fight generic cerberus operatives, and add more to the EMS score that means absolutely nothing.

If they'd make a mission where you actually take on Reapers, you know, the actual antagonists in Mass Effect, it would maybe be interesting, but they'd have to do it right. Not more point laser, run, point laser, run, point laser, run missions. I'm talking infiltrate a live Reaper, take on endless hordes of Husks, and plant bomb in Reaper's core.

Or missions to Elcor, Hanar, Volus worlds. That would be interesting, but if it's more little side quests like they did with ME3, I'm not the least bit interested.

In other Sci-Fi news, they are finally making a sequel to Blade Runner. Don't know if Harrison Ford is in it though.

Reapers? Hah, the real galactic threat is rum smugglers near the Voyager Cluster, and cerberus attacking a box factory on Pointless Prime...

I personaly would like more content with the squadmates from ME2. What was in the game was not satisfying and poorly executed.

That's also a nice idea. But the way the game is made I don't think they can include something like that in the game.

And on that note I HATE the direction they took with ME3. EMS/Auto-dialogue/linear FPS-like missions/no exploring(Mako/Hammerhead)/Very few hubzones and all this crap.... And MP has something to do with it, because all of the levels in the SP are designed with the MP in mind so they can use the same maps.

Well these are good news indeed. I loved Blade Runner. I hope they don't mess up the sequel. :?(I REALLY HOPE.. )

Anybody who has taken part in the making of ME3 probably has an EA rep over their shoulders at all times so they cannot say their opinion.
BTW : I have been playing alot of Max Payne 3 & its great.

Well yeah, that was the point of the joke, lol. I do wonder how some of the people that worked on it honestly felt about the game, though. Dropping the PR bull, what they personally feel.

For extra content, I assume that's what it would come down to with extra worlds yeah. But it seems it all boils down to paying for stuff that should have been in the game already. The game is pretty hollow as is, but I don't know that this would add enough to give it some real purpose.

Laterali wrote...

I honestly had no idea they were doing this. My signature change was purely coincidental. I personally feel that it's the greatest Sci-Fi movie ever made, but they never really left it open for much of a sequel (even if they say they did). Especially not now where they have to replace every possibly recurring character's actors.

But you get the same people working on it, and it's possible good things will happen. I mean Ridley Scott's Promtheus looks like it will be awesome, so maybe it wouldn't hurt if he went back and added to another of his classics.

I made a point about this earlier in the thread, but it's funny how Blade Runner seemed to have a positive influence on Mass Effect 1, yet a destructively negative influence on Mass Effect 3. Well funny if you don't mind that they ruined Mass Effect 3 and the entire series, lol.
