I do know that feeling. Every time we end up going out with friends I'm the lucky one who seems to get stuck listening to the tearful dramas that always seem to go on in people's lives. Though apparently it's not polite of me to point out to them that there are more important things to worry about in life than whether or not the person they met at the bar ten minutes ago is going to call them.Atrocity wrote...
Unlucky movie goers, that means they'll get only one coloured explosion, whereas we had at least 3 of them. <_<Goodwood wrote...
In other news, the new James Bond movie is also going for "darker and edgier."
*sighs* I hate social events, they always leave me with the social hangover, meaning I'll be snarky, pissed off and generally unhappy the day after
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Sadly some people do go a bit OTT on the loved up couple phase. However it is true that when you have been with your significant other for a long time you can't help but "merge" as you put it. But it doesn't mean you lose your identity, it just gets added to if that makes sense? I dunno, I've known my hubby for 14 years and while we work very well independently of each other, we work much better together. Sorry, trying to find a way to put it succinctly but not sure if I'm saying it right. Too tired this morning.
They have merged to a new living organism which will associate only with other of it's kin. The stuff from which comedies are made, and which is not the least bit funny when happening irl.
Flippin ridiculous too, since both of them were part of a close enough friend circle, so there really was no reason to go all lover's island-y on the rest of us. I know it's normal and that there was more to it, but it in no way makes my last night experience less Tier 5 of Hell-ish.

Well you can always join me and my siblings next time. They really wanted to watch Eurovision last year so in order to make it more bearable we decided we had to play Risk wearing a strange array of hats and using bizarre accents as we attempted to take over the world.Atrocity wrote...

I don't think watching Eurovision in itself is that bad. It's surreal and leaves me often confused, but it has some camp valuePhoenix NL wrote...

I've avoided that entire site. People are just getting too angry about it. I know the ending is sh*t and we're not expecting sunshine and roses from the EC but I just don't have the energy to try and reason with people who just focus on one particular thing and will defend it to the death.evisneffo wrote...
I need a shower. I've been spending far too long in Chris's IT poll thread. I think I'm past the point of entering into logical argument now and am just getting more frustrated the more people argue about it. Whatever happens, this whole deal with IT is going to leave a sour taste in my mouth. This is why I usually avoid participating in "fandom". I hate the fact that I was here to see it and I hate the fact that it had to happen at all, both of which stem from the same cause.
Great freaking job on that one.

Yeah, that's a good strategy. I think I'll take a leaf out of your book and work off the frustration through exercise.

I thought a Phoenix cannot die so killing yourself wasn't an option anyway.

My boss has this on his IPAD 3 thingy. He's not a mass effect fan, but when he sees my Normandy models in my office he is always interested.
I was not impressed with the game. Still, I would say its better than ME3.

Yes, sun is scorching everything, birds keep on screaming just outside my window and I just returned from running. It actually improved my mood somewhat, though everything aches. I guess I should let my muscles rest at some point, but on the other hand, it's not like I am exercising that hard, so they really shouldn't need a day-off.Phoenix NL wrote...

You keep Normandy models on your desk? I like to keep EA out of my workplace.

Your muscles do need some time to rest otherwise you'll over work them. That's why I only do the high-intensity stuff 3 times a week.Atrocity wrote...

The thread thing is the post that CP made on the HTL site asking what people thought about the IT.

I am not proud to admit it, dear friends. I used to love this series. I would daydream until drunk on endorphins - high on the possibility that I could defeat the Reapers and save the Galaxy. I had over 40 run-throughs of ME2 saved up for my final victory.
So yes, you can imagine my letdown when I took the Citadel beam and met Starchild. Bioware let me down. All this - and all of what could have been - was ruined by two men. Two complete bozos who didn't want a game to be too gamey.
So while I am not purchasing bioware stuff ever again, I used to. I used to be a fan. Now, I'm ashamed of them.

Well if you want to be nit picky you could do damage to your muscles and weaken your immune system then you wouldn't do any weight loss because you're having to let them heal.Atrocity wrote...

Are you a fitness instructor? That really sounds like something a gym teacher would preach.
