Putting a Sheppard-centric romance path would have been for the best. They were going that way in ME1 and possibly overreacted in ME2 and ME3.

To which I just want to say...why? After so many years of giving us control, why jerk it away from us at the last second just to force us to get a "bittersweet" ending. Not that I mind there being one present, and I'd use one in a playthrough, but not ALL my playthroughs.

Bittersweet? BS doesn't taste bittersweet, and I have tasted ME3.

I do believe that you may have discovered why BW didn't do the happy rainbow fun time ending, we all know how horrifying them rainbows are.
