So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Lol, why would anyone hate you for liking DA2? I mean, I personally think it was a pretty poor game that had most the same problems that ME3 does, but I hate the games, not the people who liked them.Nharia1 wrote...

Hey all!Net decieded to work this evening.Anything good going on?
Once the match is over I'll be back to DA:O And maybe DA2.... Please don't hate me for liking DA2.... I've found that Hawke being a Mage, can make you a huge tank, compared to Warriors...
But I do hate you for liking the Sounders
Also, why is this thread always alive when I'm not here?

There are other games out there. There's fresh air and sunlight out there too. And stores. And food
But seriously, there is nothing on-topic to talk about, so I guess most people just lurk.

Well, a huge wave left after the extended cut announcement basically said 'we will not address your concerns'.
The rest, well, probably just not posting as much anymore.

That's true. There was a pretty apparent drop off after that announcement. And I think that was completely fair. That announcement and the lack of follow up at pax deflated hope. Part of it was "there's nothing to do but wait", but it was mostly that "well it's obvious Bioware doesn't care, so I'm out" attitude that emptied the thread.Bathaius wrote...

Plus there's nothing further to discuss without covering the same ground. Every aspect of the ending has been ridiculed. We've looked into the possibility of what small alterations we could possibly expect with the Extended cut if they aren't changing anything. We've talked about the various other aspects of the game where things fell short, etc.
I'm with Atrocity and I've kind of stopped caring. And for me in the future to anticpate anything again regarding Mass Effect or just from Bioware in general, there needs to be something spectacularly positive. I'm not expecting anything though.

Look In My Eyes, Does It Look Like I Give A F*ck?
Its the same atitude Bioware has, or at least displays. Oh, the ending is terrible? "Artistic integrity!" If you try to reason with them, they call you a whiner.
They know the ending sucked as bad as we do. They just don't give a hoot. ME3 was a half assed attempt at a game. ME1 told a far better story, and ME2 was amazing as far as game play, feel, character interaction......
ME3 was nothing but a cash cow for them. Sure - a good writer put a lot of emotional work into the game. It felt good to unite a galaxy and finally get in gear to fight the Reapers. Trying to believe that the Crucible was our only way to defeating the Reapers was pretty much a 'bozo the clown' idea. We have NO idea how it works or what it does - but it will take all the rescources of all the citizens of the Galaxy to build it?
In WW2 when we built the Bomb, we knew it would work. We did not have ALL of the details because it had never been done, but we knew enough about it. We understood the principles, the physics, the mechanics of it. It was not an accidfent, lets say that for sure.
So, Bioware wants us to believe that making a thing no one knows how (or if) it will work is worth it. We could have doubled the entire galactic fleet with what this thing costs to make. Also, not knowing major parts (such as the Catalyst) makes it inconceivable.
What it boils down to is bad story-telling. Bioware stopped doing a good job and just said "Ok, we need an out". So they made this device, and then blew the whole thing up to hell and back and killed everyone. Even letting the Reapers win would have been a better ending.

Sure, but it seemed a tad bit more odd then usual. Seems like all the hugging was going on elsewhere. Did a double take to make sure there wasn't some kind of hug party going on in my apartment without my knowledge.HITMAN629 wrote...

I'm not entirely sure about that. They know we believe that it's complete crap, and that we want it changed. But I don't know that the people who crafted the ending hate it, or think it sucked.
Though I do agree that Mass Effect 3 was a total cash in.

Yeah, I tend to stay away from hug parties & lock my door when they are going on.
