I read the Wkipedia entry today. There is something called the Ur-Dragon which looks co-op. Even the party members you borrow from other players could fit that definition. But no real-time MP to speak of.

Then this thread is mutliplayer too since I borrowed this quote from you?
Dragons Dogma has no competitive or cooperative mutliplayer.

Now I'm confused.
Major confused. I could've sworn I saw co-op demo play material.

edit. Not that it matters since it's apparently console only. <_<

Unless you are looking for a game with a core plot and strong writing.

And not populated by very stoic, manequin-like beings. My solution to ME3's bitter aftertaste and lack of RPGs I cared about was to replay Origins. It did not disappoint. Now I have to decide wether to buy D3 or get the Witcher 2. Decisions, decisions

Same here, I went back through DAO and loved every second, since I got the mod to skip the fade. I even played the same way and romanced the same person I have through every playthrough, and it was still fun.

I just started up a new game, as a female dalish. Went and got a sexy face for her from the nexus, but I'm having a harder time enjoying it. Can't get into it as much when it's a female, since I'm a guy and I like to put myself into the game a little.

I can't bring myself to replay Witcher 2, I played it so many times when I first got it, I m having a hard time with the pacing of it now. So I still haven't seen the new enhancements.

So are there any good rpgs anymore? I've been looking and looking, and every rpg that has come out recently is apparently sub-par. So is this like the dark ages for rpgs now?

I've been looking for a game I'd be willing to spend 60 dollars on, and I've come across nothing.

You can try Venetica. I really liked that game. That is if you like playing with female PC. :D

I hear you. One of the main reasons why I love Origins is because the Warden is as close as I've come to creating someone who is like me, personality-wise. I just did the exact same replay as my 360 version and was thouroughly entertained. I'm leaning towards the Witcher cause I her the story is well written. Still, there's something about Geralt that puts me off. Like they're trying too hard too make him a badass

Ah, and don't we all love digital breasts? I've seen the less-than ideal reception D3 has received from the fans, so that's why I'm hesitant. Still, a deep sense of nostalgia calls to me. As for the Witcher 2, the problem with that is being kinda OCD I'd have to also beat the Witcher, to understand what's going on. And I hear it's kind of a slog

Played the first one ages ago. Got the CE only so I could get D2 for free. Not sure what I'm going to do will an actual book though...

If you are trying to put find any deep meaning in D3 you are likely to be disappointed. In my circles it seems to be mostly a LAN party thing meant as the vehicle for male-bonding and consuming larges amounts of drinks and cheesy poofs. So Warcraft for a new generation?

It's co-op in the loose sense of the word. Still not sure how that character borrowing goes or the Ur-Dragon battle. It sounds interesting, but since it's console only I won't be bothering to find out.

Thats exactly what I thought before I played it too. But in the game it dosen't come off like that to me. But the story is really well written & the game changes drastically based on your choices.

The ending your all hoping for is never going to happen, they are going to maintain their artistic intergrity excuse. Even though they could get reported for false advertisement as in the multiple unique [meaning different, not cookie cutter cutscenes] endings that we were supposed to have.

Give them a year, it will be on PC.
Sidenote : If its worth waiting a year to play is a completey different case.

Not deep meaning. Diablo never had the deepest story or characters. But it was enjoyable. I was just hoping it would capture some of its predecessor's charms. It appears it hasn't though

I had read the books so I understood Geralt's character for when I played Witcher 1. I don't think that they're trying to make him a badass per se, but more along the lines of trying to make him as neutral as possible from the get go, so you can make your choices with as little pre-bias as possible. You know, Like Shepard fighting TIM through all of ME3, only for them to say, "Actually 'Control' is a perfectly viable option, guess TIM wasn't that bad after all....Sorry."

They do a great job, to be honest, I loved the games. He's about as neutral a character as you could get. And then it's up to you to pick sides....Or don't. I like Witcher 1 better, cause you could go completely neutral through the whole game and pick neither the Scoia'tael or the Order of the Flaming Rose and say "screw both of you".

It's a really fun game. The only reason I can't get back into it, is since I played it so many times, and it's admittedly a slow pace kind of game, it has trouble keeping my attention after the twelves playthrough.

Yeah, I usually try something out if I hear it's good regardless of any aprehensions I might have. So I'll probably give both 1 and 2 a whirl. Still, sometimes it's better to trust your instincts (looking at you FFXIII)

If you do decide to play them be forewarned that Witcher 1 is super grindy, Witcher 2 does not suffer from that problem however.

Off-topic: I like Sniper Elite V2 so far. A bit outdated graphics perhaps, but it feels good. I love the way I have to make up the bullet parallel trajectory with my aim.

Still, I'd love a good RPG more.

My darling Leliana swings both ways, so there's no loss for me if I roll a female. ;)

It occurs to me all of our problems would have been solved if they'd given the GoT licensce to a studio with an actual budget instead of arcade tokens. So much potential down the drain.

We talking about the Game of Thrones game?
Because no kidding, I googled it like 30 minutes ago and thought precisely the same thing.
