Other than the makers of RPGs dewindling down to 2 or three, has there been any really good news these last couple of days?I mean it's good for rEApers/BW as people will need their RPG fix and will grab any piece of garbage that has a r,g or a p in it.

Hmm this is the first time i've checked in, in a while and apparently i've missed 2000 pages wow.
Anywho, screw the new MP DLC, no one cares about glorified horde mode anymore (which is why we didnt meet last weeks challenge) and give us relevent SP DLC. Like a new ending with no plot holes or space magic.

How about something to do with Omega (oh wait everyone died when the relays exploded, nevermind).

Then how about something explaining Morinth's and Jack's cameos at the end of the game (They were soooooo terrible). How about some exploring like in ME or at least the ME2 scanning (never thought I'd miss that). The ME3 scanning was so simple and pointless, just like all the war assests.

Maybe anything relevent to the single player in general?

Oh yea and something that was also extremely dissapointing, how about a mission or a revised romance scene with Tali in which we SEE HER FACE RENDERED IN THE EFFING GAME. Instead of this... http://imageshack.us...90/5459994.jpg/

That pic was soo weak. There were so many awesome variations of Tali that the fans made that this ^  was just unacceptable.

Hmmm, seems like the bioware top brass are all going to the picture house to see a screening of the DA animated film... Why does that scene from inglorious bastards come to mind?

As much as I like to knock on EA for being evil (which they are), they themselves did not shut down 38 Studios down. They just went bankrupt.

Nah, the Eapers were dissapointed to find when they arrived that 38 had already done themselves in by their own poor management. They had to satisfy themselves by taking a sugary treat from a nearby infant.

I'm just sad about big huge, always loved rise of nations, even if i have not played any of their games since.

Go on Steam and get Metro 2033, it's on sale for $5 today. It's got some great atmosphere. The missions when you go up to the surface are haunting, and the few instances when you get into the Stations are just amazing. They put in so much attention to detail, if you've got a computer that can run it on high, it's one of the best looking games I've ever played.

And it's pretty challenging, rounds and shells are also the currency, so you really have to be a careful shot, or decide how badly you need that new rifle compared to surviving the next mission. It's AMAZING *Head explodes*

As for Kingdoms of Amalur, I was half tempted to go and buy all their dlc, you know, show support and all that, then I remembered that EA got their grubby paws on them.

Don't feel too bad, they would have needed $70 million in dlc sales to get them out the hole they made lol

$5 seems completely reasonable. I'll look into it later. Right now I'm just too excited about this multiplayer content that Bioware has announced. Looks to be promising. I can't even remember what we were doing in this thread again.

By the goddess. Half the threads on this forum are about IT. They should rename it the IT forum. Gouge my eyeballs out and bury me in the archives on Mars.

"How many of you failed the test by not picking Destroy?" You know what? I know we're not fans of Twitter info, but this coupled with some of Ms. Merizan's tweets about the EC building on the ending that's implied by the breath scene kind of appall me.

All that crap about "but how do you know the Catalyst isn't telling the truth!" aside*, both imply that there's only one good/correct ending, unless you like a napping Shepard, or a dissolved Shepard dispersed throughout the galaxy. So basically, they're not even choices. They're traps. One ending and two game overs.

* How -do- I know the Catalyst is telling the truth? I don't. But I do trust that unless there's a good reason you're not going to go to the trouble of pouring precious resources into building and implementing dialogue only to afterwards railroad me into meta-gaming with a "Surprise! Half of what you just heard is lies! Have fun guessing which bits!" I don't know. Next you'll tell me that Hackett was a Reaper who was lying about a war to cover his intentions and Liara was spinning an elaborate web of lies to get a spycam view from my bed. OH, WAIT.

** This post is unequivocal proof of indoctrination. Tell the others, they need to know.

Maybe because you gave no cue, hint, or reference that he WASN'T telling the truth. Are we supposed to be able to read minds now?

It would have been something had they had some kind of hint that he was not honest, but they threw him at us with 5 minutes of the game left, gave us 1 dialogue wheel in the 14 lines of dialogue we had with him, and that was the end. No where in those 14 lines of dialogue is there a clue that he's being deceitful, so where would we have "inferred" that he was lying to us.

GAH! It's amazing that the ending can still send me to the angry dome....

My problem with Metro 2033 was that it wasn't really meant as a console game, so it was rather hard to do much of anything it... however while I wasn't becoming completely frustrated with the game for its lack of console compatabilty, I rather enjoyed myself.

Sounds back pedalling to me. Back pedalling for the extented cut DLC. Maybe they do not admit that they are changing the ending but they are actually changing and at this point this is the only sorry excuse they could come up with: "How do you know the Catalyst was telling the truth?"

Well Jessica Menzan, if the Starschild lied then YOU, BIOWARE HAVE LIED TO US. More fans will be pissed off now. Are we supposed to read minds now?

Some do claim that if that whole sequence truly is a hallucination or a test, then it's part of the manipulation ("indoctrination" if you want to be hip and use the word in all possible applications) for you to be suspicious of what you're seeing and being told.

They have a point, but a stupid one in my opinion. If there is an indoctrination ending in the game, it is not resolved. What a waste, therefore, of developer and player time and resources to stand on an "ending" that for most intents and purposes didn't actually happen and in the best case scenario is hand-waved as a convenient bunch of lies.

EDIT>

You'll find a few people here who agree with that notion. Keeping the existing ending(s) doesn't give them a lot of wiggle room to come up with something that the players are going to like, and so this solution here is to retcon the ending with the fewest consequences into, as g_bassi calls it, the magical happy party time solution.

I was thinking the same then I read the quote: "How do you know the Catalyst was telling the truth?" And that changed my idea. I do not know "the magical happy party time solution." Buf if Catalyst lied... Could you explain that to me? What is the magical happy party time solution? And how do you tie it to the Catalyst's lies?

I think we may have some wires crossed here. =] The "magical happy party time solution" is how a poster here describes what the Destroy option is seemingly going to become in the DLC. The Catalyst told us that EDI and the geth would be destroyed along with the Reapers if you chose that solution, right? That obviously put a lot of people off that ending even if it's the only one where Shepard has the potential to survive.

Now, of course, we're hearing "how do you know the Catalyst was telling the truth?"

Which I take to mean, "don't worry! EDI and the geth can survive the Destroy ending because the Catalyst was lying about that part. So Shepard can survive, EDI and the geth can survive and everyone's happy! Woot!"

They've said they're not adding new endings, so what it looks like they're doing is removing the consequences from the Destroy ending by saying they were lies, and trying to give us a "happy" ending that way. Does that make sense?
