If the people who claim this is all a clever marketing scheme or an attempt to thwart pirates are to be believed, then this is exactly what they predicted would happen! Bad buzz creating interest! It'll be a good thing in the end!
....*sigh*

The plagiarization of Deus Ex by Bioware for the choice of endings is beyond disappointing. They might as well switched Sheppards name to Adam Jensen.
you surely mean J.C. Denton nothing against Adam but JC is the man

-Doing Side Missions
-Gather Minerals
-Salvaging Artifacts
-Kept my entire ME2 Crew Alive
So If I plan on doing everything in ME3 also I damn well hope I get a some what happy ending. Hell I wouldn't mind if Shepard and his crew were put on this random planet. At least they'd die as a team and not left wondering what happened to each other. Anyways I'm gonna wait for the game play it and see, if I don't like it you'll be damn sure I'll rage about it.
Doubt it'll do much but it'll make me feel better

Given that the tone of this thread has shifted from one of anger to one of bemusement, I don't think the rage will last all that long. ME3 is a fundamentally a good game, it's just that the ending makes little sense.

Just noticed something: Bioware released contradictory statements. We've heard time and time again that they've created a satisfying ending, but we've also heard more than once that it will make people angry. In what world do we live in where we equate anger to be satisfying?

CD Project Red doesn't have much experience and they make very buggy releases close to being on par with the style that Obsidian or Bethesda has, though Bethesda takes the cake.
I'm not sure Project Red can do good gameplay, they haven't really just yet.
I think you're judging straight off of The Witcher. TW2 was pretty bug free and the gameplay greatly improved. There's plenty of things I hated about the original Witcher. Mainly that the gameplay consisted of clicking once and, if you felt really advanced, you could click again. Other than that it was potions, potions, potions.
I just noticed the part where you said you didn't like the four endings I proposed.
Well, it's what I think one of these two developers would have done. Basically divide the races involved in the war into factions. Alliance would stand with the council races and in the end, although crippled, would be recognised as true heroes of the war and receiving great help from all the other races to rebuild, Cerberus would use aliens to advance humanity's cause, basically standing alone and the reapers would just use you and then discard you ( I mean, what else would you expect of them?). And of course, there would be positive and negative consequences to your actions. Unless you don't believe in choice and consequence.
They aren't "good" endings per se, but realistic and better than what we have right now, I think. The "perfect" ending would be for those that just want rainbows and sunshine and "Friendship is Magic" only achievable after a new game+. I said MacGuffins because, well, I don't know how else such a thing would be possible. It's not a great ending, but it's there if you want it.
Unless, of course, you like the endings we already have better than anything someone else could suggest, in which case anything I say would be moot. I'm glad at least someone is glad with what we're getting. There's consolation in that, I suppose.

I actually hoped when I beat MGS4 that we (the player) had to pull the trigger when Snake was at the graveyard... but Kojima disappointed... cos honestly that would have been more fitting... we have the chance to kill the character we all love, something poetic about that just seems right.
I do agree that they could have expanded and made a perfect ending where Shepard doesn't die and the same goes for the crew of the Normandy, but it is what it is... I will still enjoy the game and just to see how it all plays out.
I guess this will put me in the minority.

Actually, someone said that people who join BSN can't post for 30 days. If you think about it that's brilliant. Can anyone verify that? If so think about how much that helps them, it's genius.

Saren had to use the Conduit because he was under suspicion by the Council and could only have gotten to the tower console by force.Bentebent wrote...
Yeah, at least it made more sense that the "synthetics murder organics so organics won't make synthetics that murder organics" - plot.
Saren was only under suspicion by the Council and would have been kept from getting to the tower console except by force because he went to Eden Prime and blew his cover.
So instead of going straight to the Citadel and activating the tower console, he went to Eden Prime for no real reason at all save blowing his own cover. It was the only logical solution.
Don't act like plotholes so big a Reaper could fly through one are anything new to Mass Effect.
