The core problems that a lot of us have with the ending is

1: Every decision we've made in the series up to this point is rendered meaningless. All that remains is a number value assigned for war assets.

2: The existence of the Star Brat opens far more plot holes than he closes, and is just generally poor writing. Why didn't he just let the Reapers through back in ME1? Or before Shepard was on the scene? There's a term called "narrative cohesion", and the ending sorely lacks it. In exchange we get multicolored explosions.

3: We are shown in the Arrival DLC that destroying a Relay creates massive devastation. This does not, apparently, happen in the ending of ME3. We are not SHOWN that it does not happen, the ending could be interpreted as the crew of the Normandy are the last people left alive. Anywhere. Also, thumbs down on the cliche tripe of landing on a Garden of Eden stand-in.

4: Even if there isn't galactic devastation, the Relays are off. Nonfunctional. How do the forces you brought to the war get home? The quarians and the turians at the very least are doomed to starve, due to their amino acids not being compatible with food from Earth. If there's any food left on Earth, anyway. People were throwing around the theory that the Krogan were just going to eat everyone else. What happened to them? They all got home fine of course, man I feel bad for anyone not following the twitter accounts of Bioware writers or else they'd never know.

It's just terrible writing on the tail of excellent writing and it's really jarring. I like to throw around a theory about EA planning to sell a proper ending later like Capcom did with Asura's Wrath, but they've denied it. Though they denied that From Ashes was on the disc too...

Anyway, yeah. I feel like the ending just gets more and more frustrating the more you think about it. The game in general really. Shallow and flashy may work for Michael Bay, but I expect more from Bioware.

 Couldn't have said it better, but I would still relly like to see one ending where even if your Shepard has to die you have a true victory, where you don't have to kill off the geth and EDI and totaly strand hundreds possibly thousands of biengs in the Sol system someof whom clearly can't survive there. It's all just terribly disapointing.

Word of God says they end up fine. Like I said, it's a shame not everyone follows the Dev twitter accounts to find out what happens to all those helpless idiots who went to Earth. No word on HOW they're okay though...

Word of God also says the Geth and Edi are fine if you take that option. Space Brat lies. Again, thank God they put that in the game ANYWHERE. If only there was some part of the game where you could quickly tie together all the loose ends into a conclusion that actually makes sense. What you call it? That stuff that happens at the end of a story...

Well, at this point I for one am prepared for the worst that might come, but I still hold out a small glimmer of hope for the best weather we get it or not.

Oh and thankyou all for your patience with me. I do have alot of love for the games I have previously played, and this just hurt's so much, that it has unfortunatly come out as rage. I don't usually have a problem with keeping my cool, but , there's no better way to put it, I'm in turmoil over all this.

I was legit hating Bioware for delivering a lazy ass game that's not up to quality standards, but I've since moved on to not caring, lol. Not caring about Mass Effect 3 very quickly, then moving on to not caring about Bioware itself, and then lastly not caring about the Mass Effect series as a whole.

Easier to move on to companies that care about making the best game they can, or at least care when I think they've failed with something.

I stopped caring wks ago both ME and Bioware but I am still curious to see what the EC is like and the reaction to it.  My concern has moved onto the gaming industry as a whole with regards to their ethics, practices and standards towards us as consumers.

I'm getting the feeling that feeding fellow forum members to a pet thresher maw might be viewed as somewhat anti-social. so i traded away the maw for a nice little space hamster. I call him squishy, cuz thats what happens to him when you accedently step on him....he's ok now though.
