I was legit hating Bioware for delivering a lazy ass game that's not up to quality standards, but I've since moved on to not caring, lol. Not caring about Mass Effect 3 very quickly, then moving on to not caring about Bioware itself, and then lastly not caring about the Mass Effect series as a whole.

Easier to move on to companies that care about making the best game they can, or at least care when I think they've failed with something.

I stopped caring wks ago both ME and Bioware but I am still curious to see what the EC is like and the reaction to it.  My concern has moved onto the gaming industry as a whole with regards to their ethics, practices and standards towards us as consumers.

Same. I'm not a fan of seeing such practices continuing to leak in all over the industry. The ony way it stops is when people stop giving their money to the companies that do. If that happens, more often it'll make a difference.

I also agree.Saddly, getting the avarage joe to actually stop giving their money to those company's that use these practices, has about the same chance as a snow ball on a Florida beach in July.

That is the very reason I havent bought a Capcom game since RE5 & EA has proved how money hungry they are with the "Pay for the rest of the game" slogan that pops up after the terrible ending.

I'm getting the feeling that feeding fellow forum members to a pet thresher maw might be viewed as somewhat anti-social. so i traded away the maw for a nice little space hamster. I call him squishy, cuz thats what happens to him when you accedently step on him....he's ok now though.

Oh come on, you should have gone with the Miniature Giant Space Hamster~!

Dear god, that message. It may have been the worst part about the ending, lol. Combine that with the day one DLC crap (that was on-disc), and they really are trying to make us pay for the rest of the game. You know EA's going to do it again though. They've said as much.

Yet Capcom has been the worst though in regards to such eploitation. Just Dreadful. But their sales have been somewhat hit, and it may be because the customers have had enough. It was at least enough of an impact that they've at least decided to drop on-disc DLC. It's a step forward I guess, but I hope there is better to come.

The thing is, chargable day one DLC is horrible, regardless of whether it's on the disc or not. I have a feeling that on the whole with the industry, we're going to be getting more of that kind of content that's been ripped from the game and sold separately. A step would be to simply ignore the existance of that DLC and not purchase it, but the best move would be to ignore those games altogether. That hits them the hardest.

I have no probelm with day one DLC is its used in the DAO manner (if you buy the game new, its free vs. $15 if you bought the game used.) Thats what they should have done with the From Ashes DLC.

That's what I meant by chargable day one DLC. It's a BS practice, and it needs to be stopped.

Though with regards to From Ashes, Javik is someone who should've been in the game regardless, not as a sepreate DLC (whether or not he came free with a new game). I never bought him, but from everything I've learned about him, he's pretty neccessary and really needs to be in the game. That new game DLC reward stuff should be reserved for someone who's more of a "bonus" character, like Zaeed, where there's zero punishment for missing out on him, but he's there if you want to add him.

Also, I could do a seperate rant on online passes. They also suck hard. But EA's not going to be stopping with them any time soon. Or probably ever.

I disagree on what you said for the new game DLC, the whole of point it is to deter used games sales & if it is just a Zaeed like dlc (which was almost pointless) then there is no reason to take a new copy over a used one vs if its Javik style where it is story related that would create a good reason to go for a new copy instead. It gives you extra reason to buy a game new and support its devs vs. buying used where all the money goes to Gamestop/EB Games.

My point is that all this should serve as a reward system for someone who buys new. But they're turning it into a strict punishment for someone who buys used. That's absurd as far as I'm concerned. Yes I realize they don't make any money off used sales, but after the first purchase, it's not their money to make anymore.

They're trying to make it so you can't sell games, lend games, trade them with friends, or even let family members on the same console play it anymore. They're making it so you don't even own their game, but are rather renting it indefinitely.

If you need so desperately to make more money with your games, make games that people want to buy. Don't go out of your way to screw the gamers who want to play your games.

I'm not a great friend of pumpkins. Or brownies for that matter, but since the recipe was for cake brownies, and I used 70% chocolate, it might just be not too sweet.

No, I tend to stick with 70%-85% dark chocolate :P
I don't like things too sweet, but when the percentage goes over 90% mark, chocolate tends to be bitter. Too bitter.
And I think there might be a remarkable taste difference between American and Finnish gingerbread

Lol. I know what you mean. I can't stand Gamestop on the whole either, for those reasons. And I'm aware that they push their used games for their own profit. But putting them to the side, it's still the gamer that gets screwed in the publisher's quest for more money. And I won't support those companies that continue to look for ways to punish the players. Not cool.
