Well the doctor should know that the events were not supposed to unfold how they did... those maniacal bioware interfering with the timeline...

I knew it was only a matter of time until the whole game morphed into one giant package delivery service simulator. Seriously, what is it with Bioware and package deliveries? lol. Watch the story of Dragon Age 3 be about the rise to greatness of some lowly courier. Except he never quits his job to get there.Major Swift wrote...
"this new objective will demand that teams retrieve a high priority package and securely escort it to a designated extraction zone on each map" looks like we'll be delivering packages even in MP lmao .
edit: so pretty much the UPS objective

Well if they really don't do crowd sourcing we better come up with every bad idea possible and then they will have to work really hard to come up with somthing worse... or they can claim they were planning it all along...

In fact, I still have no idea how I feel about the game, because none of it's really sunk in yet. The ending itself was pretty disappointing. It was sort of ambiguous, but it didn't change tone from the rest of the game... which had a bizarre feel to say the least. I mean the whole game was a kind of mystery without complete answers.
I hope the 2 DLCs will provide some clarity and closure, expand on the ending, and show me what I was supposed to infer. Will have to try them tomorrow, as it's now 5 in the morning, lol. Also the ending was still no where near as bad as Mass Effect 3's, despite what some people in this forum might say. Not even close.

I think I just spent the last 13+ hours straight playing Alan Wake, with a 20 minute break in there somewhere (whenever it was that I posted here, lol). Starting from halfway in Act II until the end of the game. I doubt I've ever played a single game for that long in one go before. Not because it was necessarily great, but something about it drew me in.

I finally bought that game and played it last month. I did the same thing, once I started playing it was hard to stop. I too am not sure how I feel about it, even after a month. It was kind of refreshing playing a game like that. It kind of reminded me of Indigo Prophecy so in a way I enjoyed it, but it was more reading a book as fast as you can to see the end, than to enjoy the journey you know what I mean?
The dlcs don't bring anything to the table really. It's more of the same. I don't want to spoil what little there is to spoil for the dlcs, so I'll just say don't get your hopes up for answers.

It's an old story of corporate greed. Get your best people to make something really great that sells well, and just before they're due to reap the rewards of such good services (e.g., bonuses in money and/or stock options), find some reason to get rid of them. So this is nothing new, and certainly not limited to the video games industry.

I wonder if their first game as an independent studio will have a controversial "massacre" at a games publishers office

Nope, nothing really special. A new multiplayer expansion pack is due on Tuesday, and it's free. Supposed to be some new objectives, which include, apparently, serving as an armed gang of UPS delivery people.
