But wait! Angry no-longer fans will say that I'm somehow in denial for thinking with mah brain!
Does it have to be like that, we can't we have a proper discussion over this?
Does no one take in account how
odd it is that Garrus and Tali will appear on the Normandy no matter where they were? Why would they teleport? Why are people treating that as anything BUT a bug? Maybe a bug that's going to be fixed with the day 1 patch?
I'm not unwilling to believe it's a bug, if it is then great, at least I can save Kaidan and Vega from crashing but after seeing the entire group of squadmembers entering the shuttle in ME2 for no truly good reason I don't think it's too farfetched to believe it's not.
Also, do Garrus and Tali appear even when not recruted?
Also, another thread detailed that the Normandy crew can die in the crash, but the ending scene with the grandfather and grandson still occurs.
The reason why most people connect both movies is because they appear one after the other, if BioWare didn't want them to be connected there should have been a clear distinction between the two scenes as it seems to be is seems like a demonstration of time passed.
Anothet thing, there were multiple men and women aboard the Normandy. It's very possible that they bred to repair the Normandy. Perhaps that child is the only child. That grandfather could be the first child born. So it's possible there isn't an incestuous population.
And how would they repair the ship exactly? They very probably don't have access to the technology to do that nor the materials, space travel is extremely dangerous. Breeding to repair the ship doesn't make much sense unless they're planning on mining materials and somehow use them to repair the ship with them, IMO.
The grandfather even said that the child WILL get to see the stars. So perhaps the hypothetical Normandy repairs are almost finished?
Parents also tell their children about Santa Claus doesn't mean he exists. It could be very well a hope of the old man rather than something completly certain.

Hell, now that it's been dubbed "Eden planet" I'd actually be less upset if they had crash landed on Eden Prime itself. Ending the series where it began. It would at least have better closure than what we've seen thus far.
It was either that, Gilligan's Planet (which apparently was a real TV show

) or Deliverance planet. Since BioWare seems to love biblical vibes so much I though that one fit.
