I follow the Garrus thread and they don't know about the endings yet so they're all happily discussing Garrus's appearance in the Launch Trailer. There's some vague unease though and they're aware that there are "terrible spoilers" going around. I just can't post there anymore. I don't want my negativity to effect their experiences.Rdubs wrote...

Anyone care to wager their bets on which character thread will burn in which order?
I think ash and kaiden's been plenty spoiled already...not sure about others.
Gears you suck because the order your speculated is exactly the order I would have called it.
Ithurtz - I follow the Ash forums a lot and I can guarantee you no one there is expecting a different-colored-rocks ending. They all can't wait to live happily ever after. There are going to be TEARS. I'll say it again: the downside of raising expectations is that the fall to reality is farther and harder. I can't wait to read the first official PR response to all this. Wonder if it could be anything other than "you don't get it, it's art." If they try "it's the journey not the destination," that immediately admits defeat on the destination.
I still go there. Talking about Garrus and turians is nice. But whenever somebody mentions the spoilers...

1. Earth destroyed and the Galaxy overtaken; the worst possible ending; 1,750 Galactic Readiness rating OR LOWER
2. Reapers destroyed, Earth and the Galaxy devastated (if Collector Base destroyed)
3. Become a Reaper, Earth and Galaxy devastated (if Collector Base kept).
4. Reapers destroyed, Earth and the Galaxy less devastated(if Collector Base destroyed)
5. The Earth and the Galaxy saved; become a Reaper (leader) the middle ending
6. Create synergy between organic and synthetic kind, saving Earth and the Galaxy
7. Reapers destroyed, the Earth and the Galaxy saved; the Perfect Ending; 4,000 Galactic Readiness rating and certain conditions met through Mass Effect 3 met OR 5,000 Galactic Readiness by playing both single player and multiplayer
There's a 8th, surprise ending you get for completing a New Game+ campaign.+ saving a fish from ME2 all the way through ME3.

Personally I think a lot of people will be rethinking that statement when they know the ending. There is just no logical reason for Bioware to take this route when they could have easily made lazy epilogues to make everyone happy. While a proper ending would have been preferable. This is even worse than that.

That sheds some light on that aspect of it, at least. I was wondering why the voice-acting was being done by someone who...obviously isn't a voice actor. Well, there's the reason, then.

bw: Didn't like the ending? Have no fear, we had planned all along to make happy DLC for each of your LIs!
Desperate fans: Oh thank you, thank you! One hundred bucks? Doesn't matter, ANYTHING for my Shepard and <insert LI here> to be together.
Critical fans: But what about a COMPLETE experience right out of the box?
Desperate fans: OMG, trollz!!!!
bw: Suck it up, princess. Some people only know how to complain. Our true fans understand us.

On an unrelated note, I like your sig, Rdubs, because I certainly plan on admitting that I was wrong if the leaked info proves to be false. I will gladly admit I was in the wrong, but thoroughly criticize them for the way this was handled.
Oh how I'd love to be wrong ;_;
I also Would love to be wrong and Come back here and SAY HEY I WAS WRONG AND CRAZY THERE ARE GOOD ENDINGS.
But I fear that this is the way it ends

Ladies and gentlemen, the final time I'll be pointing out for tonight, but I present, for your viewing pleasure, the tried and true "BioWare wouldn't 'do this'" defense.
They've done it; it's been done. Another space edition user has confirmed it. The data for any other endings isn't there. If you want to believe that a Prima strategy guide is more reliable than the game files themselves, please, knock yourself out getting the exact same endings that have already been presented. Enjoy.
Thank you, and good night.

How does multilayer increase galactic readiness?
It's a multiplier. You multiply your assets by your readiness for the total score.
