I did sum up in my insanely long post that the only reason i believe Bioware may, or may not, (i don't know all the details of the finished product personally.) be doing this is purely for the sake of sacrifice.I'm sorry I just don't see the point other than "ooh let's put more drama!"
They've done it in previous games, with Virmire and the Suicide Mission, and they can't very well skip it on the big finish. Of course they can't rehash old used methods of sacrifice.
So they just throw everyone out the window, to avoid large fan-base uproars about X character unavoidably dying. They may just kill off the lot, to add an impact to the hardship, loss and sacrifice of War.
This isn't my point of view. This is merely the only logic i can see behind Bioware's choices. If these are indeed their choices.I understand you point of view
Personally i think they've gone off their rocker.
Edit: Though, i do personally believe Shepard should ultimately die. Purely because i don't want to see him/her become another victim of the never ending Bioware Canon. ( Which would really just be another way for Bioware to screw over the choices their fans may/may not make. )
Which has been the point of pretty much *all* my posts dudeRight, the Normandy is still screwed
Going off the things i've read and experienced on these forums over countless years of lurking. I can quite fairly assume very few people ( not all people ) care very little about the sacrifices that the Galaxy suffers as a result of Shepard's actions.
Ultimately the Crew of the Normandy are the main fixture for emotional connection in this series and they're being used as the sacrificial lamb for an emotional twang.
