So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Why in the world did the Reapers build the relays and the Citadel for organic life to find them?

Doesn't it seem odd that the guide (at least the past detailing the endings) gets everything else right, including something as subtle as the Paddlefish, and yet makes up a "secret ending"? Nobody else finds that suspicious? Perhaps the same glitch that causes faces not to import properly is causing other game data not to register. If the game doesn't realize it's a new game plus it wouldn't give you the secret ending. I mean, it's possible or even probable that it doesn't exist, but we aren't 100% certain at this point.
Has the "secret ending" been debunked by another player, or is this just heresay. Because I'm most interested in a secret ending, even if it is just an extra line of dialogue or text?
He also gave extremely vague and non-spoilerish details until other people leaked specifics due to the NDA. Maybe Bioware told everyone legal action would result if anyone mentioned the secret ending. I don't know, it's starting to feel like we're grasping at straws. Either way, the endings don't bother me that much. After Sovereign single-handedly took on a good portion of the warships in the galaxy (let's face it, the geth were basically a decoy), it became clear that no ending would feel plausible or gratifying. Bioware painted themselves into a corner. Unfortunately, it appears that they couldn't write a good ending and settled on the depressing mess we have. But at least we don't have to fight a giant Terminator this time around. That's certainly a major plus.

It has been confirmed as false by Xio, doesn't surprise me seeing as it's a Prima guide.

well im just saying his review should be looked at that way some fears can be calmed down
i asked him about the prothean and no hes not in story wise unless you buy the dlc
i asked about the kai leng fight he gave some nice answers on it in fact he said he fights like a phantom
he also stated miranda has more of a role than any other me2 squadmate so this makes me interested
he wont talk the endings do to him fearing his words may get twisted around
he gives it a 9 for a rating

Below that means you're doomed! Bad. Very, very bad.
The Reapers win and everything is destroyed:devil:
Unfortunately, the only way the Reapers "win" is if you die and get the end game screen. Apparently the devs thought a lazy playthrough with not even a single side quest completed wasn't bad enough to deserve an epic Reapers Destroy All cutscene. Lame.

I mean the video files aren't there. I mean it's just not matching with anything that we know of. Is it possible that it is indeed in the patch and Bioware told the guide writer to put the secret ending in the guide? Sure. Is it possible that there was a secret ending at one point but Bioware scratched it and the guide writer didn't update the guide? Sure. I mean just as the game stands at this moment, I doubt there is a secret ending. Can things change in the future? Yes.
In short we have to wait till Tuesday to see what happens but I wouldn't get your hopes up about it.
Someone should also try and contact the guide writer and see his response on the matter.

The technology of the Relays is so advanced that organics rely on them instead of developing that level of technology for themselves. The Reapers have ensured that the Citadel is the heart of government, and that the Relays are the basis of galactic society. Without the Relays, every species is seperated and all the easier to destroy. And with government being in the first location the Reapers arrive, harvesting them is even easier.Karrie788 wrote...
