So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Aside from the little kid voice... which is just what the hell. I am not that dissapointed by it as I thought I'd be.
I would've preferred the Guardian to sound more mysterious and dark.

When exactly does that appear, btw? As I mentioned, could be hinting at psot end-game DLC.
i have no idea. another poster found it and posted it in the review thread thats in here
i said it before i wouldnt be suprised if this whole normandy thing will be dlc and it looks like i hit it on the head
It's after the epilogue finishes.
Cheers!here's hoping for post end-game DLC then.
Why would you hope for that? Just gives Bioware the green light to cut out good endings for use as DLC in whatever game they make next.

It better be free if the three buttons are the only solution. Like I said, we should all focus on getting 5000 readiness points because there's probably a better ending that isn't pretentious artsy bull****.

Are you surprised though? In the back of my mind I saw something like this coming. If they wanted grim dark, then they really could have done sooo much more with the Reaper back story. I personally hate the whole "we are actually protecting you from yourself bit". I've seen that way too much.Killjoy Cutter wrote...

Wrong.
The Reapers are arrogant monsters.
Changing that in ME3 was Bioware's biggest blunder, where they stepped firmly into the realm of contrived cliche.
Erradicating the Reapers was always going to be the only appropriate ending for ME3.
Hell the whole Human / turian war started becuase the Turians were "protecting" humanity from itself!!

Was just over on the Ashley forum, where I gladly lurked for a long time. Everyone there is like "I cant wait for an ending with me and her together!!!". If you think the anger here is bad - we are the people already INNOCULATED to the ending. Can you imagine what it will be like for the people who have no idea what's coming and are expecting something less grimdark? WE are going to be the ones calming THEM down.
... oh lord
Yeah. I'm still hoping for DLC.
They claim no post game dlc . but I disagree we will force them to make one
They "claim" alot of things.
No kidding. See also, MP, Origin, etc.

I'm gonna come back to this thread and laugh at all of you when you find out how much you cried over a distortion of the truth.
Seriously, the game isn't even out yet, but just 3 more days and we will find out the truth about the endingS.
So where are they? Where is the content for these other endings you imagine are there?

There's no confirmation that two squadmates can survive on Earth, and as I understand it Anderson always dies - he just either dies with or without telling Shepard that they'd make a great parent.crimzontearz wrote...

Again, dangling a happy ending in front of you just to rip it away.

This.
Honestly, watch the dialog with the Guardian then the one you get with Sovereign. It's painful.
I liked it. The Guardian is even more delusional than TIM and Saren together. Something so arrogant that can´t see it is wrong regardless of all the proof in front of its eyes.
I just don´t get why people think that the villain thinks itself the good guy whitewashes it in any way. To me it makes it even more evil and deserving of death.
But the Geth die just because they are synthetics? The guardian doesn´t mention anything about Reaper tech, so it seems the red energy can just tell a mind is artificial? Really?<_<

Someone explained it (somewhere in this thread), that in fact, Anderson can be saved by charming someone or something along those lines, which enables an interupt saving Anderson.
Again, not my personal experience but someone else "found" a way.

Mike Gamble talking to 360 magazine.
"We wouldn’t do it any other way. How could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t say any more than that…"
and btw, trolling the pirates who like to steal people hard earned work is just fun.
"Bioware would never do anything wrong! There must be an explanation other than that the endings suck! Pirate bait! Photoshop! Incomplete access to the files! Swamp gas! Weather balloon!"

The idea of this series ever having a completely happy ending seemed absurd anyway.
But the idea of player generated ending is not, be it happy or dark ending.

Maybe, however considering you use a Deus Ex Machina, anything should have been possible.

The whole ending is flawed regarding inorganic. Legion, EDI and the peace between geth and Qaurians proves the whole cycle is wrong. When legion has already stated the geth just want to be left alone and want peace.
And thats the thing. In ME2 Shep talked about peace between the Geth and Quarians that was a player choice so IMO this guardian should of seen that all organics didn't have to be destroyed because as Legion proved they were very capable of co existing without that cycle having to take place.
Also I thought about this. ( if I'm wrong tell me) The guardian said something along the lines of synthetics turning
on organics or something at a certain point, but through out the previous games the Reapers used synthetics to kill organics so aren't they kind of at fault?
Hope that made sense.
