There supposed to be at least two variations for "Destruction" ending, no? This one is "bad", so we did not yes see the other two.

It's the same thing except earth is slightly less fubar.

Look, here's the facts - YOU all got YOUR destructive end YOU liked - now ****** of. The rest of us DID NOT get the ending we desire. And don't even bother to attempt to tell us WE should be happy with the choices BW forced on those of us wanting an ending that suits us better. Is that so difficult for you geniuses to understand?

You've either missed things said, are misunderstanding posts or are only hearing what you want to hear.

It has been said quite a few times now that people can have an ending where the two squad mates you take with you can end up on Earth. I cannot verify it myself, but that is what others have said.

It's what others have said they hope happens, because as of right now, they appear to be teleported back to the Normandy in a plot hole so big people are assuming it's a bug which will be corrected in the day one patch - and that if it is such a bug, and it is corrected, the alternative is that they will end up on Earth instead.

Fair enough, then. Apologies.

There is a different cinematic for Earth. The Reaper gets zapped by red lightning but everything else is ok. But the Joker/Normandy/Crash bit played out exactly the same.

I play video games to have fun. I'm just taking a wild guess here that since I loved both previous Mass Effects I'll enjoy the third. No matter how bad and depressing the ending may be, it's only a small portion of the whole game. Even if the relays are destroyed and the Normanda is MIA, the galaxy will live on. It's not hopeless- that's coming from a pessimist. The different homeworlds and colonies will find their own paths. Some with flourish, some will perish. In the end, however, Shepard accomplished his goal from ME1. The cycle is broken.

I MEAN JESUS GUYS I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE PEOPLE WHO PLAYED THE GAME ARE NOT AS ANGRY AS I AM ABOUT THE STUFF I HAVEN'T PLAYED YET

Only person I've seen say they enjoyed it was Xio and the some of the streamers. Though I don't give a crap what the streamers think because ME3 is their first ME game. I can complain all I want about what we've seen, I'm still getting the game if only to finish it. If you have such a problem with people complaining about the direction the game has taken, they why are you in this thread?

Probably because it's so entertaining.

ME3: mass relay network destroyed shep MIA/KIA normandy deemed MIA

At least with Halo the Galaxy wasn't thrown into a Dark Age. The Halo ending would have been better than the leaked ME3 ending if they didn't throw in that stupid "Master Chief lands on an unknown planet" as an excuse to make Halo 4.

Ugh, it's still awful though. I don't see how anyone at Bioware can be proud of these ****tastic endings.

True or not, the NG+ controversy needs to be put to rest. This is something that a lot of people are latching on to, but there is no evidence beyond the Prima Guide to explain it.

Look BW did a brilliant set of games to ME3 - they got exactly what they hoped - the gaming public to care about their character. That should be no surprise to any BW executive or designer at this point in time - then the very beast BW created, folks caring for their characters, has come back through sheer negligence to bite them in the butt. THAT is why this forced ending is so ugly!

I agree, if you stop a cycle of extinction that has went on for ever and die in the proses in a way you have seceded, their for a bitter/seat ending.  but i can see all of your points.

Now see theres another issue. Where does it say ME was thrown into a dark age? Grant it they're pretty boned by the looks of it but look at the galaxy as a whole this way

destroy: reapers destroyed a bunch of reaper tech laying around as well as synthetics rebuilding possible

merge: robots and meatbags are now as one reapers are peacful and with their infinite wisdom/tech can rebuild the relay network

control: you are reapers assist galaxy in rebuilding relay network

look at WWII end of war everything sucked 50 years later 75% of the suck is gone (obviously it would take longer to rebuild a galaxy spanning civilization then a few blown to smitheroons cities but the point still stands)

Perhaps you didn't say anything that made a difference.

Or did you expect everyone to agree with your position the moment you expressed it?

Spot on. They create someone you care about only to leave that character to suffer in the end (although I suppose a just doing their job but doesn't really care much about anyone else Shepard could come out of it OK).

ME3 is just a video game right?
So none of this actually matters right?
So there's no need to be angry right ?
Am I RIGHT?
Let me know if I'm wrong.

If it doesn't matter, why play the game?

Which is not necessarily a hopeless situation.. all I've seen about that planet is that it had jungles.

Could have landed in somebodies backyard for all I know.

I'm mildly hopeful that there's a NG+ ending, but I'm okay if there isn't. Judging by the other endings, I'm not sure I'd want to see what else Bioware thought was a logical conclusion to Shepard's story. "And the magical robot dog ate the Reaper's only plans. Ductchild rejoiced from heaven as the plans were also his homework." Fans angry about plotholes. Bioware: "Reapers are treehuggers, that's why they use paper." Fans still angry...
