Unlucky.  I'll probably be able to play Thursday, if the PS3 version comes in the post then. Ordered from shopto and they're shipping Wednesday I think. Did you hear the soundtrack yet? It has been uploaded by 1-2 (or more?) people on Youtube already.

Sure, can always do some online play if you'd like, though I'm not a big voice chatter. Do have the ability to chat though. And yeah, framerate will definitely be better. That's my one complaint with the PS3 demo and I hear it's the same in the review copies and such, so... *shrugs* Hopefully the patch will fix it.

I haven't heard the soundtrack, no. What bits I have heard are either very similar to Mass Effect 1's music or they're exactly the same.

Ok, it's agreed these endings blow. Is it possible in any capacity to create DLC that is viable for all these branched ending scenarios where we see Shepard simply rejoining his squadmates or LI? I mean they clearly don't care for avoiding plot holes or common sense. God help me I want to believe in some minute inkling that this can be salvaged.

Seeing as many of them involve Shepard dying then the answer must be no (I can't imagine DLC being made that'll only work for a limited number of players).

Please stop giving me hope, they said in all the playthroughs the squad mates always get on the normandy and crash. I asked, everyone said this was true.

Well, I find grimdark endings really artsy and I generally prefer them over ones filled with sunshine and lollipops. If the ending was all bright and happy, most of you will be complaining about how contrived it feels, even though the Reapers are described as the most incredible force of destruction ever.

I just don't like the lack of closure, that's all.

1) There's room between crapsack grimdark endings, and "rainbows".  Lots of room.

2) Billions dead, tens of billions suffereing, worlds on fire, intelligent species extinct or on the verge, general chaos and trauma.  Even if everyone on the Normandy lives, where is the rainbows and candy in that ending?

3) The Reapers are still just ships -- people, Bioware included, need to stop trying to make them into gods.

I totally agree with you - surely there has to be a way achieve this without much effort at all.

Perhaps Shepard offspring or a macguffin that brings him back from the dead. A parting message that suggests he and his LI did the dirty and his awesomeness continues for generations? I wish I could pull at straws but the overbearing logic in this weighs so heavily on my heart..... I never expected him to stay with space waifu but this.....

but some part of me, the inner moron within us all is making me think that this isn't true but only a massive conspiracy done by super elite russian hackers working for china.
