In response to that Garrus vid

Image IPB

And guys my canon Shep doesn't romance Garrus but I just want to tell Garrus no. No planning on buying private islands and hybrid children.

Bioware please stop kicking us all in the gut

Thank you sooo much BioWare for ruining what could have been the best trilogy ever.

I'm thinking there's a good chance alot of this is just some truly spectulair trolling.  I'm having a hard time beliving Space edition owners wouldn't be under some kind of NDA until launch day...  wouldn't they be?  And really, i'm having a hard time swolling the fact bioware would be touting for YEARS a game with muilty ending based on your hard work in the previouse 2 games, going on about "GOOD" and "BAD" ending and verying outcomes based on choice, braging about how it was the end of the story and they could do whatever they wanted without being tied down, only to deliver an ending that craps all over that.  No one, is THAT stupid to do something like that. The damage a move like that could do to a companys repuatation, it'd be signifient.

No.  I'm doubting alot of this.  So far, i still have some faith in bioware, they haven't burned ME personally yet, so... i'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now....

A quick question to people who were hear last time, as i wasn't, what kind of rampent speculation happened when ME2 was released?  Was there a similar trend in negitive spoilers that turned out to be false or just half the story?  For all we know, biowear themselves may be feeding false information in a effort to hide the real story, it's been done before in tv and movies to try and fool people before a big event.  (yes yes, wishful thinking...)

I guess I can't blame them for it, if it's making them money.  Given the tidal wave of cash coming their way right now, the only thing that could make them reconsider would be bad press.

Money has nothing to do with this cruel of an ending.

The day 1 PS3 patch is 16 mb, hardly enough for a completely new ending. All the files have been checked and there's no better outcome. Unless they misname the file on purpose to deter pirates but I highly doubt that.

I still don't understand WHYYYY did they give out space editions without any sort of protection? Here is an NDA that you don't give a **** about, also we will not enforce it.

What?

I keep asking myself that same question.

Why Bioware?  These spoil threads would of never had any usage if the space edition sweepstakes was avoided and scrubbed.  But nooooo...we can't have nice things now, can we? Image IPB

I just don't get it, i don't get it at all. Why would they not have any protection from leaks in anyway. Oh here sign this, bye. What did they think would happen?

Damn. They better be telling the truth or this planet will become too small for them to hide. They gotta have a Normandy ready to the escape!

game’s ending, saying that, “I just finished an end to end playthrough,

There will be no bad press, havent you learned from DA2 and Skyrim. "BAD PRESS" we have dismissed that claim.

Sure it does.  It's in fashion in video games and television to be "edgy" and "bittersweet" these days.  Look at Game of Thrones and how everyone faps over that.  Look at BSG, and how people went absolutely nuts over how "realistic" it was (even after the crappy ending it had, it's a well regarded show).  I wouldn't be surprised if BioWare wanted a piece of that action and decided to veer toward it.

The thing with a game of thrones though is the the favorite characters stay alive and you get the juiciest and most satisfying revenges of all time.

Hahaha, are you kidding?  DA2 got panned and BioWare (Laidlaw, I think) issued a "our bad, you're right, we shouldn't have re-used all those maps" type apology.  Press works, and fan action works.  Metacritic, sewer that it is, also works.

It is kinda funny how much effort they've gone though to make it dark and bitter considering ME was originally toted as a reconstruction of the space opera genre rather than yet another deconstruction of it.

I never got the desire for 'realistic' ending for science fiction. I mean I'm reading/watching/playing it for something fantastic to happen. I'm not looking for something that is possible just with a space background to be slapped with the title science fiction. And I'm obviously not talking about the reapers her but the idea that some people that the ONLY ending possible should be Shep's death.

Yeah, Song of Ice and Fire is actually a different kind of breed and not really fit for comparison with ME3's bollocks ending.
