Yeah Marvel is the same old Marvel even though Disney bought 'em. They still are doing stupid sh!t they've done before.

I'm putting this all on BW and Mr Casey Hudson and Company. They've all lost their damn minds and gone whacky.

Yes.  She only kills herself if you side with the Geth I believe.

I see...so I assume Peace is impossible?....figures... Picking the Quarians was always the back up plan....

Deus Ex:HR had rather vague endings about the fate of human society and global politics, leaving the future rather open ended.  It was actually more acceptable there because the game is a prequel and has a known future, though the game's endings were very minimalistic in that they were simply philosophical narrations over several bits of public domain footage of world culture.

It's compared to this because the ending "choice" happens in a similar way--in an area where you simply choose what ending you want regardless of previous game choices, like a contestant in "Let's make a Deal" choosing what's behind curtain #1, #2, or #3 at the end of the show.  However, DE:HR at least had some optimistic outcomes in its choices.

I can understand Tali's suicide. You just sided with the Geth, Tali's number one enemy, who has just killed every last quarian but her. Sure, she has her homeworld, but she's left with no one. No Kal'Reegar. No Veetor. No Aunt. Just her.

Peace IS possible. Haven't read all the spoilers but you can definitely achieve peace between the Geth and the Quarians.

It could be a very powerful moment, and from what I've seen of other character interactions I think they'd pull it off just fine.

It is no some inherently terrible betryal of a scene.

At least this is a scenario with multiple different outcomes depending on what Shep does. He can save her, he can side with the Geth, he can do whatever that interrupt is. That scene could be fantastic.

The single-outcome colony ending on the other hand...

-Rewrite the Heretics (0 points)
-Destroy the Heretics (+2)
-Tali has been cleared of all charges (+2)
-Tali has been exiled/Did not do her LM (0 points)
-Legion/Tali conflict resolved (+1)
-N7 Mission: Save the Admiral in ME3 (+1)

-Complete Legion's Mission in ME3 (if you didn't do it, there's no peace whatsoever).
