Auto-dialogue. They cut the "There has to be another way" option.

It's surprising that we don't have more videos up or more concrete information considering the number of people who have either data mined or played the Space/Early Release copies. Yes, we've all seen the horror that is the "Destroy" ending without enough EMS points, and we've watched the SyFy Channel level of acting that is the Catalyst sequence. However, we still don't have footage from endings with 4000+ EMS points nor has any information been posted as to what occurs in the new game plus if, in fact, anything *does* even occur.

Safe to say we won't get anything more until at least a day or so after the 6th, but this is going to be a hard wait, especially considering that the final verdict will decide not only if I'm going to buy this (strong chance that I won't) but if I'll ever even go anywhere near another BioWare game or even keep the ones I already own. (Sigh) Patience is not one of my virtues...

That'd be a good poll question. People are pissed about the destruction of the relays and its implications for the larger galactic society, but the characters are our connection to that society. I really think the fate of the Normandy forms the core of the objections here. They were going for some kind of luddite/"new world" symbolism, and it fell flat on its face. I guess the CoD crowd can't be expected to think through the implications.

There's enough wrong with the state of the galaxy at the end of the game already. Couldn't they at least give us the Normandy in just one ending?

That's a bit of a shame. Thought that was an interesting move that they chose to do that with Dextro though.

Why cant I just have sex with Liara which in the final battle will save me even though I should die. And 9 months later an Asari baby with a Reaper soul will be born,

There have been a number of streams and there's at least one guy posting his early release playthrough on YouTube. It's painfull to watch those people play though.

 Disclaimer: I haven't read the endings, if someone wants to pm me them that'd be great. For now what I'm going is what I've perused on this thread. (seriously wish I hadn't, talk about soul-crushing)

So there is going to be hard choices, well of course. We'll choose, we'll cry. It will be painful but glorious. Perhaps Shepard will die in a blaze of glory (epic) perhaps Joker will die in a heroic space battle (if it's death or him ending up with EDI...well...sorry Jeff). Sacrifices will be made, I will whine but I get it.

Even the bittersweet ending of galactic civilization I can understand. Remember when Sovereign told us how by using the mass relays we were basically their pawns? The galaxy pays a steep price for ending its extinction cycle. So Shepard (if alive) and the few surviving crew (I guess maybe I let Joker live it means saving the crew...i mean if that's even an option to let him die I mean) ride of into the sunset right? No? They're stranded...huh...let's pause for a second.

Let's pretend for a moment that we have no favorite characters. I know it's hard and I'm Shoker fan if you couldn't tell. (Laugh it up. I'll agree after replaying ME 2 it was like a bucket of water to the face. I'm still clinging to the hope that under that sarcastic shell there's just a boat-full of wonderfully sexy damaged goods but yeah hopeless I know) 
Anyways back on topic. So the "happy ending" is that despite all you've lost, life in the galaxy will go on. Sure galactic civilization will collapse but will eventually be rebuilt (loooong time from now) and this time it will be on its own will. So having no favorites this its cool cause F them, the galaxy is saved!

Yet ME has become such a personal story on personal relationships and characters. Is the lasting galactic survival of people you'll never see, really fulfilling when everyone else who you loved is doomed? Maybe your the ultimate paragon or something but it's not really for me. Knowing that the Normandy Crew is stranded and will eventually die out with only Liara to mourn their graves (yeah imagine that happy image) doesn't make me feel proud or accomplished. 

If Bioware wanted a game that exampled the futility of our actions compared to the galactic scale of the universe by showing us how hollow are lives are without personal relationships and meaning derived from our surroundings then hats off they should drown in awards. 

 It's not happy not supposed to be...but **** I don't feel like the savior of the galaxy...it makes me feel empty. I should be grateful that the galaxy will go on (however crippled for now) Reaper free but I'm not. Couldn't there least be and ending that if you sacrifice yourself the crew get's to NOT eventually die out in a Lord of the Flies scenario? 

Maybe I've read something wrong or misinterpreted something. (Please tell me so) But I'm not even getting into the whole good or bad writing aspect here, I just want to ask you...was it worth it? Are you fulfilled despite everything you'll lose? Or will you feel like it's simply a hollow victory? Maybe it is good writing then but...then again maybe this is all BULL****.

I WOULD BE INCREDIBLY HAPPY.  This is really the biggest issue I have...the Normandy getting stranded and a surviving Shepard never getting to see them again...
