The thing is, people have come up with better endings (imo) on this forum in the last few days than the writers for the game did in three years time. Bioware, what happened?

It is painful. Tgey'll be let down when some of them don't get their underwear scene, and then they'll be heart broken st the ending.

This Goes out to all those character romancers out there, the ones that want to see Shep and your love interest of choice head to that little house shep won back in ME1's DLC and raise some oddly colored children together, depending. You know, the people that fought not for honor or duty or fame, but for the hot girl or dude you wanted your character to hook up and and ride off into the sunset (nebula) together with.

Mabye bioware was like "we don't want old fanbase anymore so lst ruin the game for them, YEA!"

Saw the sales chart for DA2. When is Bioware going to learn that deliberately dumping an established fan base in hopes of attracting a new one will always bite you in the ass? The CoD crowd already has their collection of mindless shooters to choose from, and in ME3 it frankly isn't implemented that well. I found the "combat roll" arrows in the ME3 demo annoying, but I was willing to stick it out to see the story to its conclusion. Now it seriously looks like the conclusion isn't worth the ride - and given that the game looks to have been structured so whichever characters are your personal favorites are inevitably marooned, it seems they wanted to drive that point home as hard as possible.

Mac Walters, for one. In the midst of the forum explosion when the leaks started last week, he went to his twitter to start asking people "Is ME art for you, entertainment, or both? Tell me why!"

Which is why I'm wondering "Why are we constrained to 3 endings?" If this is the end of Shepard's story what harm would it be to have dozens of different endings? Hell even have a third disc just comprised of endings. Because what they promised us was that each playthrough would be a unique experience with an even more unique outcome, a game based on the decisions you made. Yet there's only 3 endings with slight variations?

I'm still baffled why the writing had to take the turn it did. They still got the gameplay and MP that casual gamers and action game fans would love.
