Besides unless you cause earth to be tosted, it only takes 5 min of fanfiction to make a happer ending, it's what i did.

I think people need to understand the difference between bad endings and sad endings. Yes the endings are sad but the fact that they have caused such an emotional responce in you means bioware has seceded in creating a powerfull ending.

Actually I was thinking in keeping in line with the playable races, one's a sanctioned team and the other is a rogue team fighting over the same resources. Which wouldn't conflict with the singleplayer setting as Shepard could have authorized a team to try and legitmately obtain resources (sanctioned) or get resources by any means necessary (rogue).WizenSlinky0 wrote...

Which will be hilarious once they introduce a versus mode DLC for multiplayer, and at that point you'll really know they've sold out.
Would not be hard to do. One team just plays as Cerberus or another enemy, and one side plays as the galaxies forces.
And on top of all that it provides no closure whatsoever. You basically just pick a door, watch a few minutes' worth of cutscenes, and it's over. That's it. That's what three games and six years gets us, and that's why people are pissed.Karrie788 wrote...

I agree. Bad endings ARE different from sad endings.
Truth is though, we're playing a game in which choices supposedly matter. All our decisions however ultimately lead us to the same place. Just different roads.
I don't mind sad endings. Hell, I WANTED at least one sad ending. I wanted the Reapers to WIN!
But those are BAD endings, I'm sorry. There are plot holes everywhere, Joker is doing a completely OOC move to add some extra drama to Shepard's screwed up life, and the whole purpose of the Reapers as villains is completely ridiculous.
And when the emotional response you trigger in your audience is RAGE, there is a problem.
Yeah I could see a Left 4 Dead style multiplayer. But atleast in-fighting in multiplayer could create the illusion that your choice in ME3 actually mattered. "Oh I told my operatives to go out and do whatever it takes to get resources, that's how this rogue team came to be."WizenSlinky0 wrote...

Meh. I kinda like the idea of getting to play a phantom though.
I think it'd be interesting if a couple of your enemies could be player controlled even in the current system. Not all, but just enough to surprise you.
Not sure I like the idea of showing in-fighting in the multiplayer.

Word is that it's NOT being done by Bioware.
If it is, good. I didn't care for the originals.

I get the concept of sad endings, hell I even appreciate them like in Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock 1, and Metal Gear Solid 4. Those endings were satisfying because it brought closure to the story in a way that made sense and didn't leave room for much doubt.HairyMadDog1010 wrote...
