I think people need to understand the difference between bad endings and sad endings. Yes the endings are sad but the fact that they have caused such an emotional responce in you means bioware has seceded in creating a powerfull ending.

You know what else causes such an emotional responce (sic) when I experience it? Twilight -- and I'd hardly call it powerful.

(Yes I read Twilight -- you could read it yourself and decide if it's good, or save yourself some time and just dismiss it as garbage.)

The endings did create an initial emotional response when I first saw them: sadness. I was genuinely upset that my Shep and her crew were separated forever. But I was heartened by the idea that that was simply a handful of a pleathora of options -- that if I chose to do so I could perform the ultimate sacrifice and do just what I saw, or I could fail and let the cycle begin again, or I could solve the problem and somehow resolve the situaiton with as little injury as possible. Then I went on-line and discovered that there was essentially one way to end the game.

The things that are the most important to players: the state of the galaxy, the state of the crew, reunion with friends are identical in all endings. Things that are relatively acessory: fate of synthetics, ultimate fate of the reapers are the things that we have influence over.

Let me demonstrate it thusly: You go to a party and someone offers you three drinks: milk, a coke, a beer. Seems like pretty distinct choices right? Then he tells you he has rinsed each cup in stale urine. The afore mentioned distinctions no longer matter. The things that are different about each drink are not nearly as relevant as the things that are the same -- and the things that are the same make you not want any of them.

This is what Bioware has done -- invited you to a party and offered you drinks in cups they have peed in.

Thanks Bioware. You're an awesome host.

Also...uh...inquiry....if this "Guardian AI" or w/e is pretty much The Citadel. Why did Nazara need to "assume control" of it in order to complete the prime dirextive the damn AI gives it? wouldn't it just open the Relay FOR him? why does Nazarva need to do this himself if their "overmind" is already in complete control of the entire system?

Oh wait...because they made this s*** up as they went along....

Exactly. That's probably the single biggest plot hole that exists, at this point.

She has high heels because the only suitable robotic body they had lying around was that of a high heeled scientist acquired earlier (on Mars)... so it makes perfect sense

That... is probably the best and most accurate metaphor I've ever heard..

And how sad is that?

Why is the first thing that comes up when I watched that was "Is this one of the new romancable options for players in ME3"? Wouldn't surprise me if it was true.
Though why did they do this? I just don't see why except for maybe adding sex appeal (like this game needs anymore already).

SO MUCH HATE

I am a broken woman...

I wanted to join the whole "hey just cause it's sad doesn't means it's bad" crowd

But after seeing  THIS

It made me realize how much I wanted closure, how enthralled I really had become with this game. That honestly made me cry and I hate myself for it. Infact i think I might post that link in the Joker Romance section...I don't care if it's supposed to be spoiler-free I want somone to join in my PAIN.

Also I hate you Johnnycide for posting that video as a reponse to me. I will hate you for all time...

I mean...the obvious lack of consistency is more than a little jarring. Bioware clearly does not even know wtf is going on in their own story anymore.

I don't care about high heels. Honest to god, I don't, if it matches the character. ; Miranda and Samra, to me, have reasons for having high heels. I do not know if I can justify EDI keeping them.. Perhaps to feel more human? Lord, I just don't know...

Well its one day until release 20 hours minimum to get to an ending, allegedly 30ish hours to be able to get the remaining endings, and if the Prima guide is to be believed probably 60ish hours to get the NG+ ending. Then we'll have reactions, so probably by this weekend.

I really wish there was a Renegade interrupt to shoot him in the foot like Conrad. Or like the Pyjak on Tuchanka, every time you pass him by you can punch him.
