Have to add to those who have been watching the Live Streams for some time. I've been watching one that started almost from the beginning and, thus far, I've watched the content for Garrus, Wrex, and Grunt and, well, the game is everything I wanted it to be and more. Incredible set pieces, amazing dialogue, fantastic Heroic moments and, of course, the story is damn near perfect. Which, of course, begs the question why would they write in endings that almost seem like they're from a completely different game? The idea that all of the main content in the game is rendered moot by those endings is just something I can't process. Once again I'm hoping beyond hope the "endings" we've see aren't everything and that there is, in fact, and ending which echos the ones we were given in ME1 and ME2.
I've played the demo a few times and the multiplayer like a god damned boss and I have to largely agree with you. It's great. The start, the middle, the accessory parts -- they're fun and exciting. I never thought co-op multiplay could be that fun or that the powers could even translate to multi-play but there they are, and I love it.
Then I remind myself of the revealed endings and I have to ask, 'Why are you doing this to me?' As a person whose made a few playthroughs on the premise that each would have different resolutions, I have to wonder why regardless of what 'journey' I took I always end up at the same 'destination.'
It's like giving out treasure maps with dozens of 'X's only to discover that each treasure chest holds the note 'it's the journey, not the destination.'
