I dunno. I'm hoping that the release day patch has something, the Ashes DLC has something. Some news will be forthcoming. I dunno.

It's all a big mess in my head. I want to legitimize what I'm seeing. I want to stare downt that Nietzschean darkness and tell myself that there's a glint in there.

In all honesty, given how things have unfolded here and on a few other websites I sincerely doubt that even the admittedly cool and fun gameplay will rescue such a botched ending.

The Star Wars prequels had some pretty awesome stuff: clone troopers, large Jedi/Sith battles, combat Yoda (shut up, it was amazing). But none of that could save it from its critical failure which was a crappy story with stupid end. Even the fact that A New Hope comes in the wake of that doesn't stop even die-hard Star Wars fans from wishing the prequels never happened.

us hardcore Star Wars know there were mistakes in the prequels but it does connect to the original movies story wise . in Mass Effect 3 the game's story does not connect to the endings at all .

True that... oh god... Star Wars preqles are better than Mass Effect...

I've seen some in game playtroughs on youtube and the amount of autodialogue is enough for me to not like this ME experience alone, the lack of player involvement in conversations is sad. The whole time I play ME3 it's gonna feel like an out of body experience.

I'm gonna be just way too removed and distanced from it all.

I want to ask Anderson "What the Hell are you doing here your a member of the council"
And when he reply's with "I resigned I couldn't take it anymore, Politics it's not me"

I want to chose from these options: Investigate, Top Paragon; "Good it was never you, I'd much rather have you next to me in the battle"
middle neutral: "I support ya either way"
and bottom Renegade: "So you spit in my face than. I nominated you for a reason"

Investigate options: What happen that made you resign? Get told a story about him "being sick of the blind eye act, and it came to a head with the Grayson Affair and the Council terming you as a terrorist for working with Cerberus"
SO who is the new human Councilor? Don't tell me it's Udina?'
Anderson Replys with "He was always the Politician, and half the time he got things done for me, He know who to talk too, how to work the angles, and in some cases how to save his own @ss"
Reply to that with "Which leads to Udina getting punched in the face in some case"
Anderson Laughs
Ask if my standing with the council is going to be worse with Udina a member
Anderson 'I can't say but I told him that he should remember he owes you more than a few favors"

But I don't think I get any choice in talking about this it's just handle for me if at all.

I enjoy the prequals. I have seen Mr Plinket's reviews and agree with them....but still glad they exsist, kinda ironic actually.

So what is the problem with the endings? Is it the destruction of all the mass relays? (Unknown) ?  Or what? I don't see anything wrong with the endings, the mass relays being destroyed confuse me but, the classic happy endings in this great saga would be generic. and less interesting and suprising.

Even if we really have 7 endings: destroy, control, and synthesis, we don't know what happened to the Earth or Shepard.

Lets wait to play to the ending, chaps, righto. (Ok so I took creative license with that one)

P.S.: I am sorry for my poor English , I don't know how to write, and I don't speak English.

Here let me try to fix this mess for you. My god that was a mess.

A large problem with the endings is that they are independent of what you chose to do in past games. They are also contrary to what we were promised by Bioware (a unique story resulting in unique endings, etc.). A lot of people (myself included) are having a hard time understanding many of the leaps in logic with the endings as well.

Hey I've got a bus that'll take you to Disneyland or Universal Studios, who wants to come? Don't worry it'll be your choice when we get there.

Just kidding, welcome to Legoland. Enjoy your subpar experience here.

But hey, for a few dollars more I can take you to Disneyland or Universal Studios.

That's what this feels like... that said I'll pay... damn you BioWare, I'll pay for that ending.

You sure you won't ram the bus into a nuclear power plant destroy the whole planet with us?

I figure if the streamers on youtube haven't streamed the ending yet there's a slim chance bioware is just trollin us for teh lulz and they've been behind the "leaks" allowing all this bad stuff to pour out and fill our heads with doubt but if the streamers have already shown the ending then we're all doomed

Even with a crappy ending, the fact that Mass Effect is one of the rare games that lets me play as a female puts it head and shoulders above The Witcher, but that's just my opinion.

Are those games rare anymore, though? Aside from games where the story actually restricts the gender and character you can play as, there is an abundance of choice out there.

Practially every MMO out there lets you play a female character. And they don't run the risk of having a crappy ending. ;)

I consider myself a hardcore SW fan, and I definitely dismiss the prequels in every way from my mind. I may have to do the same with some aspects of this ME ending if they turn out to be true.

MMOs are, in the end, very shallow experiences. I get them (I was addicted to WoW for a while) but after I stop playing I inevitably regret that I spent so much time on them.

And story-focused games which feature a female protagonist or the option to choose your gender are quite rare when compared with the ones that don't. Even rarer are the game developers who consistantly provide the option.

While I'm not quite sure about Bioware intentionally trolling people, it wouldn't surprise me if they knew these weren't all the endings and intentionally kept quiet about it. It would be an excellent example for them to use in future.

Yeah - for me at least the ending feels disconnected from the rest of the ME series.

Its like ME1, 2 and 95% of 3 makes up the ME story and the last 5% of 3 is where they handed the ending control to Dietz.

Ok - maybe that was a bit to harsh - but it does require a few leaps of logic. Its also something not preluded to at any point in ME prior or even seems to make sense in the scheme of what you're trying to achieve. The fact that previous choices offer nothing in the form of an anecdotal epilogue is also just a bad decision.

Its a shame as well because so much of the ME3 offers so much in choice and possibilities that the endings should have so much more. Indeed - they NEED so much more because as it stands, its sending the ME trilogy out with a bit of a fizz.

RPG mode looks like its 75% autodialogue (and that's being nice to the percentage rateings in my opinion)

It's that thought that helps me sleep in the mean time.

Maybe all of these leaks are false. Maybe Bioware knew that the endings would be the end all and be all of the series. Maybe there are actually dozens of ending permutations out there and in order to prevent them from being released they allowed the release of only a few to keep people tied up so that the majority wouldn't be spoiled. Sort of like a lizard dropping its tail so it can get away -- release some endings so the others don't get exposed.

I do similar things with friends and movies. Whenever someone asks me about some details of a movie and I tell three or four ridiculous things so that if I ever reveal the actual thing they won't believe it.

Someone asked me about Harry Potter and I told them the last book is a coming out story where Harry marries Lucius. Then I told them I lied and Hermione marries Ginny. Then I told them I lied and Voldemort is actually Jesus.

It's convluted yes -- also very unlikely.

Goddamnit. Why can't we have both long, interesting discusions with people/party members and fun combat too? Not one or the other. It gives them more character and brings more info into the story as well.
None of that for ME3 then huh? Seems like this is becoming a fully action game over a story-driven game now.

No. It's a well established fact that story is inversely proportional to action.

Too bad the dialogue isn't more like the one I presented.
And Think that was just for one major Conversation fans may want to have about an important choice they may or may not have made

Image all the other autodialogue conversations that take place with little to no involvement from the player.

its just the amount bioware throwing out the actual ME3 script and saying "pfft what story" just doesn't seem right. Grant it I may still be in denial but what kind of writing team writes themselves into a death trap filled with spikes, snakes, quicksand, and acid claiming they'll explain everything, there will be multiple endings, and there will be no loose ends by leaving gaping plot holes such as most of ME2 and the "AI controls the reapers from the citadel...but needs reapers to do stuff themselves"
if bioware is truely trolling us they deserve a gold medal and a place as the first olympic trolling team because they are good

save on Voice Acting if they don't have them do lines that only non-CoD
players will actually hear?

Which would probably explain a few other things about ME3 that people don't like/find odd as well.

Oh god I hope that's only for the Action setting. If it's like that for both the RPG and Story settings...

No apparantely that IS the deep engaging traditional RPG version..
In the Action!Mode you don't need to make any choices at all.. awesome, huh?

Goddamnit. Why can't we have both long, interesting discusions with people/party members and fun combat too? Not one or the other. It gives them more character and brings more info into the story as well.
None of that for ME3 then huh? Seems like this is becoming a fully action game over a story-driven game now.
...
Looks like I might have to go into the Story setting to get the full story-line... unless that's just the RPG setting without much combat difficulty.

Ready to be P!ssed off again? The Story mode is basicly the Same as RPG mode just on a very easy combat difficulty setteing like you said.
I wish this was a joke but it's not it's all true
