I just heard that the leak was caused by an angry Q&A tester who got fired. If this is true the video floating around on youtube MAY just be a variation on all of the endings.

The leaks are also coming from several space edition players and people who pirated the game.

That's another thing that bothered. Why would EA let loose early copies of ME3 knowing that it would inevitably get spoiled? Regardless of what they thought about their ending, why do that?

Not sure, but they must've known full well that noone stops because of the NDA.

Crysis 2, BF3 and probably more in the past show that leaks from people can and do happen all the time.

But why are the space edition players allowed to talk about the endings? I mean they have a NDA, haven't they?

There is now way they could have not know that people would hate the endings.

Ah see but that is wherer the confusion lies.
The assumption that the main target group for this game are the loyal fans who have invested in this series.
It's not.
The target group is new players who have never played ME before.
As evidenced by the open multiplayer demo on origin.
And the cutting away of time and attention consuming dialogues and character progression.

They've said several times that they want this game to be a natural staring point for new players.
In order to do that they simply had to screw over the old players..

Horrifying but that's my take on it.

See even our rage at the endings is just good for them since it causes talk an pr for the game.
And the endings aren't that horrifying for someone who hasn't invested time into the previous games.
What do they care you know?

To someone who is not an employee those things are pretty worthless.

So what are the details about the other endings? I'm definitely not going to read 500+ pages (but I've read quite a few) on here but so far the largest chunk of info is the Destroy ending, then a mention of several more endings with possibly an additional NG+ ending? How many endings are there?
I've enjoyed spending hours upon hours replaying ME1 & 2 at the time thinking my decisions actually mattered for 3 and creating multiple saves but why can we not at least get our "happily ever after" Disney ending. Create some BS Independence Day inspired virus to send to the Reapers for all I care, I'd just like to see one ending of Shepard with his/her LI and a not completely boned Normandy crew.Idk I want to rant but I'm sure anything I've got to say has been covered/said multiple times. I just had really hoped to have that happy ending or sad ending choice. Nice to know aside from the ME 1 & 2 experiences I loved all my decisions were pointless, almost want to never play passed 2 and just let my imagination fill the rest :wizard:

The space edition players are under NDA, yes, but that hasn't stopped every priate/leaked script reader from spoiling everything since last what... november? We saw this coming from months off.

Maybe they were banking on the fact that people are so excited to play, they won't see the game's flaws. I didn't lurk in BSN before DA2 came out so I didn't really know any of the issues. When I got the game I was like "omg the combat is awesome! I like it!" and then as days passed that excitement slowly faded away and I could see the game for what it truly is.

Here's the endings: imagine one paragraph. Depending on your assets, you get to change one sentence. Depending on your choice, you get to change another sentence. The majority of the ending is constant, no matter what you have decided in other games or even throughout this game.

And it's all started off by a computer taking the form of that stupid child in the first mission (which apparently made such an EMOTIONALLY ENGAGING IMPACT on Shepard he doesn't seem to remember he killed 300k batarians days before) offering a choice between blue, red, or green.

As for leaks, considering how Bioware lost the entire script of the game last November I'm sure they didn't care quite as much about pre-launch leaks this time.

Most people also seem to be playing with an uninmported Shep.

May be I am grasping at straws but I have to have at least some hope left.

Uh, no. The ending is the same for those that did import a Shepard as well. Xoi-something from the spoiler group confirmed it.

Three basic endings

Control
Destroy
Merge

Then a different earth cinematic depending on your score.

Then the stock Normandy bit.

There are screenshots of Joker/EDI but I've never seen those linked to an ending.I'm guessing it's merge but I've only seen control/destroy played out.

Well that's a let down.
Curious though, I found the link a couple pages back for the Destroy ending. The Control option you've seen, any link to that?

It's not the endings that ****** me off so much now as finding out on here that there's like 2 dialogue choices for conversations most the time and that there's a lot of autodialogue

**** the same thing happened to me. It was aweful. My roomate loved DA:O and watching me play but when i put in dragon age 2 she didn't care at all. As soon as she saw it she thought it was crap and told me so. I was in denial and said no way it looks great! Then I slowly realized that the game was jsut aweful. I didn't care about the characters and I was annoyed at the lack of customization. I couldn't even give my team different gear!

I've just finished reading through the thread on the Gamespot, and this guy said that:
*spoiler*
If you allow it, Joker can romance EDI and they will be together..How is it possible? Is she going to take up a human form? I am having a hard time understanding this.
Aaaaandddd, Garrus will be with Tali? What?
I know my M!Shep will romance Kaidan, so I don't really care about Tali or Garrus, but if someone can explain to me these two bits

Seriously, these endings are pathetic and are a big 'screw you' to the fans. They aren't even needed! Yes, the Reapers have killed all organic life time and time again. Wanna know how? They came in through a back door and took everyone by surprise, with the exception of the Protheans, which were only one race. Shepard got rid of that in ME1. We have more time. See that galactic readiness meter? That's us getting ready, something the others never had the chance to do. The way I envisioned ME3 was one last battle where, yes, WE CAN WIN. OR LOSE. OR SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN. And we could have that large spectrum of endings that Bioware PROMISED. This magical weapon that can kill them didn't need to exist. Contrary to popular belief, if you actually know the lore, the Reapers aren't unbeatable space gods. I don't see why they had to become that way just to have a universe-reset button so they can have future games. How they handle other games is their buisness. Sequel, prequel, MMO, whatever. But finish this story FIRST. PROPERLY. Dang it Bioware. There goes years of anticipation. So dissapointed :(

Please shoot this idea down if you think its wrong but the idea of a Day One patch with new / different endings sort of makes sense:
- Bioware and EA knew there were many leaks
- They must have expected Space Edition owners to leak everything

So a Day One patch allows you to offer different ending(s) without having to charge via DLC (which a lot of people would be unhappy about) and those with the Space Edition couldn't complain they didn't have the full version of the game (despite having a free copy).

Also...uh...inquiry....if this "Guardian AI" or w/e is pretty much The Citadel. Why did Nazara need to "assume control" of it in order to complete the prime dirextive the damn AI gives it? wouldn't it just open the Relay FOR him? why does Nazarva need to do this himself if their "overmind" is already in complete control of the entire system?

Oh wait...because they made this s*** up as they went along....

yeah, looking for logic in this is just like trying to move jumbo jet with your bare hands<_<

I thought of that too and then I realized I was just trying to rationalize just so it won't hurt as much.
