Honestly, if you all allow yourself to derail this thread into other complaints about the game which Bioware could never change at this point then you weaken our goal as a whole. This thread is about the endings, something Bioware actually could alter to some degree via DLC. No they couldn't alter them dramatically but they could add in more context and some happier spins of the variations of each ending.

Lol, why should I buy another Mass Effect game after this? I mean I'm buying this one because I'm crazy in denial and need to see it for myself, maybe it looks good or works, heck maybe there's more to it all? But if this truly is the ending, why would I want to start another mass effect game that would probably end with my character like, losing his balls, getting blinded with fire, disowned by his parents for unknown reasons, he accidentally kills his wife and his kid hates him, then the world blows up and he's forced to live forever lol. Idk, eff it.

Anyone know if it might be possible to mod the squaddie teleportation bit? I'm guessing there are just a couple of flags that determine who comes out of the Normandy hatch at the end. Would it be possible to set those flags to something else? (Maybe to one's least favorite squadmates?)

I know next to nothing about modding, so I'd be interested to know if there might be a quick fix available.

Here's another way to explain the auto-dialog. Any true RPG player here will hit every ''Investigate'' option in a conversation in ME1/ME2. When you've investigated everything you make a dialog choice that actually matters. Well what ME3 tends to do, is basically playout what would be investigate as a very cinematic cutscene and then you make the choice which you would have made after exploring investigate options. It makes sure that fewer players miss out on major storyline dialog, by accidently advancing the convo past invesitigate, and it rewards you with better cinematics.

YES THIS. No More investigate. No more deep conversastions with the characters. Have you seen the video of Ash and Shepard talking about Cerberus? It was all autodialogue except for like 1 or 2 dialogue wheels, and only one had the third choice but I doubt those thrid far side choices add much extra player involvment.

It's stupid. The reason ME3 is the best place to start is because if you've been playing 1 or 2 then 3 is gonna feel whacked and out of place. Your gonna be way to far removed from it all. You gonna be upset with 3.
That's why 3 is the best place to jump in at.

I wonder if there will be a statement by BW about giving the fans ME3 2.0 like they did with Deitz book. I can dream. This game is gonna be beyond bad, it's not going to be the same game anymore.

TO the fan fic boards I'll go to write my own ending to MY Shepard's story. Complete with Better Ending(s) and more dialogue options including investigate.

That would be the most perfect teleport solution possible, lol. Take favorites with you. Send most unfavorite to the ship.

Actually, by the sounds of it, more then a few people just left without signing it, so still EA's fault.

The sad thing is, in another game series and with better writing, this could've been wonderfully pulled off. It's quite symbolic. Missed opportunity I suppose, now they'll pay the price.
