So you have no problem with Shepard horribly vaporizing and the crew getting stranded on some planet which pretty much means Garrus and Tali will die of starvation?

They could get rescued you know.  Traditional FTL drives aren't that slow you know.  II'll take months for ships to travel from system to system but otherwise things aren't nearly that dire.  Sure some colonies will fail and Garrus and/or Tali may die when the Normandy crashed but if you think about it, we probably won't hear about any of the crew of the this trilogy of games other than Shepard in general terms if sequals are made.

"Broken steel" DLC! Now what would it be called? Broken Reapers?

Lol, I hope not.  I never got a chance to play fallout 3 until a few years after it came out.  I didn't know what the ending was, and I already had broken steel, so I guess I missed out on the crappiness.
I hope bioware does not release DLC that retcons major plot events.  They should stick to their guns, and tell the story they want to tell.

no problem at all this was, war is hell and with the amout of lives shepherd and his crew has ended their fate seems fitting. Dont forget shepherd destroyed an entire system killing 305k batarians in an instant what fate do you think he deserves. Yeah it was for the good of the galaxy but no 1 life is greater than another these endings fit perfectly. i hope a "broken steel" dlc isnt releast, but due to the amount of moneyh it would make bioware would have no choice

In a game, the main characters are always greater than the others. When it comes to the all life is equal speech in video games, all I can say is:

Realistically it makes sense to do this consideringthe nerd-rage. I would suggest, however, that they provide a DL with the option to have Totaly Victory with either Shepard or the Reapers. It's not really about them sticking to their guns, its really about what sells. Disney movies make a lot more money than the Aliens trilogy or Saw movies, for example.

Give us roses and a cluster**** and everyone will be happy. I think Bioware didn't give us the good choice because they made the decision that "Reaper's Win" wouldn't sell well.

Here's my question (and maybe it's one that's been discussed somewhere in the 500+ previous questions:

What happens when they release new DLC?

Either your "final save" is going to boot you back to PRIOR to the end of the story (a la Fallout 3, initially) or there is going to have to be a continuation of the story, somehow.

I know BW has said it's a definitive end....we've heard similar things with Fallout 3...and all that, so I'm guessing they choose option 1 , and will wedge any DLC into the main storyline (rather than the more ancillary stuff in ME2 like Arrival and Shadow Broker).

It'll be interesting to see how they handle their own limitations on this.

I will never abandon all hope. I can still play this game as long the fix somethings with patch like the flashback moment were you always see liara unless you romances ash kaiden. Of course ending dlc is must or other wise all replay value for the SP is dead for me.

I have never gotten angry over a game until now. I'm almost at the point where I hope anonymous holds EA and Bioware hostage until this is fixed.

I like the story, but even if you don't, I would still recommend the game. It's fun!

This review is very well done, it does contain some very minor and vague spoilers, but it sums up what is so great about mass effect 3 story. Grow up people, reality isn't rainbows and butterflies, the reality of war is hell and sacrifice.

A video game is not reality, so grow up, stop gaming and get a life...

Only way it will subside is if they fix this horrid ending.

Brenon's goodwill is highly appreciated. He contrasts strongly with the remain of BioWare. :)

They must make a DLC. Do they WANT to lose a good chunk of their fans and a fair profit?

Okay, okay, I generally like the endings but even I have to admit this is hillarious LOL LMAO!

However, to be fair I think more accurately, it should be "yo dawg, i dont want the entire galaxy to be taken over and ravaged by synthetic AI. So I made a controllable synthetic army to only kill civilizations on the verge of creating such synthetic AI, so that the galaxy wont be taken over and ravaged by synthetic AI."

I want a new ending. I will do anything for a new ending. I'll get anonymous, spam emails, start petitions, start protests, anything... for a better ending to my favorite series.

Amen to the above...our Shepards and co. deserve a happy ending for all the crap Bioware (the writers) put them through and all the times we got killed by a flanking enemy or a biotic power that shot us out of cover disabling our barriers and getting us killed xD....>.>...<.<....ok a bit specific xD but they/we all deserve a happy ending >:o

about the rescue, I don't think it's as simple as them sending out an SOS and awaiting pickup.

Standard FTL communication in ME uses the Relay system, which doesn't exist anymore.

Localised clusters of space may well be fine with their comm buoys, providing they've not been destroyed by the reapers. But intergalatic communications doesn't seem like it'll work anymore.

The thing with the ending is that its really off. Its bad by all standards. Seriously the entire civilized calaxy being harvested by the reapers would have been much better ending as long as we would have been presented with a reason. This ending is totally out of context, thats why it sucks.
