They could get rescued you know. Traditional FTL drives aren't that slow you know. II'll take months for ships to travel from system to system but otherwise things aren't nearly that dire. Sure some colonies will fail and Garrus and/or Tali may die when the Normandy crashed but if you think about it, we probably won't hear about any of the crew of the this trilogy of games other than Shepard in general terms if sequals are made.XenoAlbedo wrote...
So you have no problem with Shepard horribly vaporizing and the crew getting stranded on some planet which pretty much means Garrus and Tali will die of starvation?
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

"Broken steel" DLC! Now what would it be called? Broken Reapers?
Lol, I hope not. I never got a chance to play fallout 3 until a few years after it came out. I didn't know what the ending was, and I already had broken steel, so I guess I missed out on the crappiness.
I hope bioware does not release DLC that retcons major plot events. They should stick to their guns, and tell the story they want to tell.

no problem at all this was, war is hell and with the amout of lives shepherd and his crew has ended their fate seems fitting. Dont forget shepherd destroyed an entire system killing 305k batarians in an instant what fate do you think he deserves. Yeah it was for the good of the galaxy but no 1 life is greater than another these endings fit perfectly. i hope a "broken steel" dlc isnt releast, but due to the amount of moneyh it would make bioware would have no choice

In a game, the main characters are always greater than the others. When it comes to the all life is equal speech in video games, all I can say is:

Give us roses and a cluster**** and everyone will be happy. I think Bioware didn't give us the good choice because they made the decision that "Reaper's Win" wouldn't sell well.

What happens when they release new DLC?
Either your "final save" is going to boot you back to PRIOR to the end of the story (a la Fallout 3, initially) or there is going to have to be a continuation of the story, somehow.
I know BW has said it's a definitive end....we've heard similar things with Fallout 3...and all that, so I'm guessing they choose option 1 , and will wedge any DLC into the main storyline (rather than the more ancillary stuff in ME2 like Arrival and Shadow Broker).
It'll be interesting to see how they handle their own limitations on this.

This review is very well done, it does contain some very minor and vague spoilers, but it sums up what is so great about mass effect 3 story. Grow up people, reality isn't rainbows and butterflies, the reality of war is hell and sacrifice.

I am sorry, all of you. I tried...I really did.
I did pass on to Brenon both polls, petitions and endings thread links. He said he would pass the info to Casey and Preston
maybe we wll get lucky with some DLC

Brenon's goodwill is highly appreciated. He contrasts strongly with the remain of BioWare.crimzontearz wrote...

Okay, okay, I generally like the endings but even I have to admit this is hillarious LOL LMAO!
However, to be fair I think more accurately, it should be "yo dawg, i dont want the entire galaxy to be taken over and ravaged by synthetic AI. So I made a controllable synthetic army to only kill civilizations on the verge of creating such synthetic AI, so that the galaxy wont be taken over and ravaged by synthetic AI."

Standard FTL communication in ME uses the Relay system, which doesn't exist anymore.
Localised clusters of space may well be fine with their comm buoys, providing they've not been destroyed by the reapers. But intergalatic communications doesn't seem like it'll work anymore.

The thing with the ending is that its really off. Its bad by all standards. Seriously the entire civilized calaxy being harvested by the reapers would have been much better ending as long as we would have been presented with a reason. This ending is totally out of context, thats why it sucks.
