You do chose your own story. You an chose who is loyal to you, whether the gehophage will be cured, who lives or dies, whether the quarians get their homeworld back, etc. etc.

It isn't really a choice if you can only choose how to die. The choice would be if you could choose when to die.

The game does have a decent amount of choice. The normandy gets the same fate, sure, but other things change.

And this is the most important issue. No matter what you do, the Normandy, the ship with your friends, potentionally LI etc.,  gets the same fate. BS. M.

I'm sure Bioware will pay attention and hopefully comment soon. With thousands of comments on this and hundreds of pages, they will most likely issue some sort of comment.

I think the thing everyone needs to remember is that they can fix this and it would not be difficult. The only thing involved here is the ending, everything else is fine story wise as far as I'm concerned.

I wouldn't mind paying for a DLC ending, the game overall was fantastic. But I honestly don't think bioware cares one bit about how people feel....they're all about the money, and they've already got that now.

Just look at this forum, thousands of players are writing their disappointment and rage already, and no response whatsoever except "We're happy about the ending."

DLC = more money = everybody's happy?

I would just like them to acknowledge the part about the squadmates suddenly being on the Normandy. The logistics of it just seems... downright impossible.

Yea, If this is a bug I'd like to see it patched.  However, I don't want Bioware to substantially alter the endings.  The game is great.  Just fix the bugs

Not to rain on your parade or anything but doesn't EDI die in the destroy ending?

Also I'm pretty sure ME technology dies with the relays.

The game is hilariously vague when it comes to this. It states that "you could destroy all synthetic life" and then mentions that it will destroy the relays. The actual scope of what is and what isn't destroyed is very blurry.

I doubt Bioware will change anything to make the game have an actual purpose. Frankly, I don't even care anymore. I just wish I never bought this garbage and stayed happy with my ME2 ending.

Played and seen all three endings.. People say they are bittersweet in fact i see it differently.

Shepard dies/maybe survives,
Crew is lost on an unknown planet,
Alien fleets are stuck with earth and the surrounding area with no viable supplies.
Galatic commiunity is toast without the relays.
No confirmed count on people that survived the attacks.
... some other pieces but those are spread out amongst the variants of your EMS and Actions.

... another thing.. usually when a relay blows up.. (all videos show the mass relay blows up with different colors) doesnt it destroy the star system. (as seen in ME2 Arrival)?

hmm doesnt that sound like bad endings..Image IPB

There were a lot of answers from BioWare during the last hours and days, but they ignore all complaints about the ending. I think they just don't accept our discontent.

I noticed that. They comment on gameplay, or they move or lock posts, but they haven't said anything about the angry fans and the bad endings.

They will have to sooner or later. The game's being released in Europe tomorrow and they won't ignore that amount of people.

I guess we just have to keep discussing it until they respond. I wasn't part of the group that discussed the errors in the novel Mass Effect: Deception, but it did get a response from them and they are fixing that book. And I figure if they can fix a book, why not their game? I mean, just look at how many people dislike the ending on this poll.

I've adressed Chris Priestly personally but he overlooked my statement deliberately. I think I was very clear but always polite to him, so we should assume that BioWare intends to sit this out. Probably they think we are a annoying minority which will give up their useless hope soon. That's it.

I'm sure many fans will stop buying Bioware products if they just ignore us forever. If they fix this problem however, they will redeem themselves. Although they might just be waiting for the proper moment to reply. They may be discussing solutions right now for all we know. It's basically just a waiting game.

If it doesnt involve profit or oversight has something to do with it. Theyll leave it be and not fix something that was already planned out. Personally i dont like it more than anyone else but with what your saying... They are deliberately ignoring people...

People are proposing that Bioware gives us new endings with downloadable content. Now if the content costs money, there is a profit right there. And if it's free, then the fans will forgive them and buy their future games which is also a profit.

I will manage this as follows:

If they don't fix it -> I will never buy a game from BioWare again
If they fix it and want money for it -> I will buy the DLC, but no more game from BioWare for the full price
If they fix it for free -> all fine, we are friends again, BioWare, I will buy your games and DLC as before

It does seem like that though, doesn't it? People have said that Bioware stated they are happy with the endings, so I guess that is their position for now. My hope is that with all the fans being so angry about the ending, they'll be kind and give us happier endings.

Sigh. Figures. They're probably just unable or unwilling to do a thing.

Remember Garrus' facial texture in ME2? And the resolution was horridly low, and it was a known bug? They didn't bother fixing it, because it would have been too much work. Now swap a retexture with an ending to a three game trilogy. (The Garrus bug was for PC only.)

And the waiting's killing me. Take DA - I enjoyed the game a lot, I even waited for DA2. But then the disappointment came - demo was A HORRIBLE MISUNDERSTANDING, I hated it even. The result was easy - I didn't buy the game. The point is here - if I'd known the endings would be so pathetic I wouldn't have bought ME3, I would have simply waited till the "DLC" was released. Despite the fact I admire ME series.
And if they're ashamed of this situation let me quote myself :

Hell and what is wrong with admitting they were wrong? Those endings made the game hollow, they made all 3 games hollow. I see no sence in going through this game again - as I've ended ME1&2 at least 4 times I don't feel like ending any of them anymore now. It's just that I find it pointless. Why would I stand by my LIs? Why would I care about my choices? It all just ends like if I were an empty husk the whole time. And it isn't just me who feels that way.

Thats what im saying.. They might be waiting for more information on how it goes when it is further released in other countries. From playing the game though it seems they are funneling the story to fit what they like instead of leaving it flexible for the player to choose. I do agree though if they dont fix **** like this.. why bother.. I loved Mass effect and dragon age but it seems they are making it more.. FPS one style shooter.. Instead of the RPG i loved.
