The hilarious thing is they just put Shepard with the Normandy, this wouldn't be happening.

Or have the Normandy crash on Earth. At least give us the chance to imagine an eventual reunion.

But no. Headcanon must also be crushed.

Why?  Why would Bioware want this?.....

Apparently because the ME team decided to pull a DA and make all the possible endings leave sour tastes for everyone.

I think we will see some post mission DLC to rescue your LI and Crew if these are true endings . EA likes money and look at at DA2 no money made there for DLC when you anger your fan base.
Will ME3 sell huge yes but if they endings are all bad I will never buy another bioware product and since I live in edmonton I may egg there headquarters on Halloween lol ;) .

My only wish is that my Shepard curses Garrus with her last breath before she dies.

YOU! IT'S YOUR FAULT! YOU AND YOUR CALIBRATIONS! IF YOU CALIBRATED THE DAMN GUN MORE I WOULDN'T BE DEAD NOW!

Odysseus had made a horrible decades journey, but he finally reunited with his love one before any of the cruel suitors did. In fact that story was where the term, 'it's not the journey but the destination came from,' aka Homer. So why all that pointless build up for ME3?

We're supposed to have no expectations and just accept whatever is thrown at us, however horrible it may be because having standards is wrong. So very wrong.

Seriously, the endings have combined every single one of the BSN's rage buttons into one neat little package. It's the perfect storm; it's incredible!

DA2's mediocrity did enough lasting damage that it utterly poisoned the entire community. This is the perfect storm though, it's pretty much designed to be weapons grade rage fuel.

This place will burn to the ground and there won't even be ashes left when it's over.

At least DA2 let you stay with your love interest and create an ending in your head that was somewhat happy. This pretty much says your screwed and if you want to reunite with your crew, you have to think up something crazy, like your dead squadmates flying down from heaven on white dragons to magically return everything to normal. Then Shepard climbs onto one of the magic dragons and rescues his stranded crew.

Hey, my Shepard would have done that! Instead she remembers Liara owes her money :[

It's funny because you think humans are rational beings.

That's my character flaw, I just assume that most people, deep down, aren't driveling, instinct enslaved morons.

Who is too say they didn't land in a dextro environment? Thus, all the puny humans and asari are starving to death.

One of the real endings sounds just as magical and far-fetched, so it might actually be a possibility.

Maybe that's what the devs meant by "perfect" ending.

Because the epilogue shows humans. Unless the garden world magically naturally supports proteins of both chirality, dey dead.

Even if it did, they're still the last of their kind.

This actually makes sense, if you think about it. If there was a "happy" ending, what room would that leave for DLC? The purpose of this ending is to leave them room to add more later, resolving the main huge plot issue with the Reapers, while leaving ample room for personal issues to be explored with smaller-scale DLC. I suspect they're modeling this off the success of LotSB.

Of course, it's a huge gamble and might sink the franchise altogether, but I'm not despairing quite yet. There's still hope for the future... unless, in an ironic move, the fanrage is so huge that the DLC market bottom falls out and it never gets made. But I doubt that would happen.

Unfortunately, we know through the epilogue humans survive. So unless it is a magical dual planet, they're pretty SOL. I don't doubt that there might be the possibility to cultivate food, Quarians after all are ship-self sufficient. But that's doing a lot of wishful thinking.

My theory is someone in charge forgot they couldn't eat human food. :[

At least with Revan you could rationally headcanon them back into known space within a few years and back with their loved ones - or at least that's what I did. If what happens to the relays is true, that seems pretty improbable for Shepard.
