Apologies, I'll try to be more respectful to those who have played the game and genuinely dislike the endings. I'm just really surprised by how much hate there is here for the game and for bioware as a dev. Even despite the ending, I think ME3 is a strong product.

Disappointed love changes easily into anger. That's human nature. For me, ME3 ruins not only one game but three, but there's no "hate" though. :wizard:

Yeah, a lot of us are really upset that we spent years investing in this and then it leaves us feeling unsatisifed and depressed, that's all. No one hates anyone here.

Really? No one got the Operation Broken Promise joke? I know we are disappointed people but cmon. Lets have a laugh. And Im sure they will hear us out on some DLC if we have enough people complaining.

Personally, I would pay for the downloadable content. Most people want it for free, and if it's free, then I'd love that. But I love this game enough that I would spend money to see it have a happy ending.

Hopefully more like $10 or less. Lol. But I like that mission suggestion. :) Escape from the Citadel and then an epilogue explaining what happened to everyone.

Lol true, but we can always hope. I mean this whole thing we're doing, trying to convince Bioware to give us new endings takes a lot of hope. They don't have to do anything if they don't want to, but we're trusting them to listen and care.

They don't need to comment on the endings.  People on these forums complain, but they told the ending they wanted to tell, the game is getting fantastic reviews, and will probably sell very well.

You're one of the few people who is satisfied by the ending. I respect your opinion, but respect ours too.

Then think on this.

Bioware promised that Mass Effect 3 would be the END of the Comander Shepard storyarc.
Bioware promised that choices would have consequences, and from both previous games.
Bioware promised multiple endings.

Where/When did Bioware promise that Shepard would SURVIVE?  They already promised there would be no further games with Shepard.

Where/When did Bioware promise that Mass Effect 3 would have a happy ending?  As with Dragon Age, Mass Effect is DARK.  Only real difference is that Mass Effect is Science Fiction, Dragon Age is Fantasy.

For the Record:  I was actually HOPING that the "best ending" had it that when the weapon went off, all space-faring vessels within .5AU (Half the distance from the Earth to the Sun) be destroyed/suffer major damage, and the worst ending devestated Earth beyond any recovery within the next half-million years.  I didn't get THAT, did I?  Probably for the best, since the uproar from that would make the current "fiasco" seem tame, yes?

Do I like the current selection of endings? No, I don't.  Would I like for a better ending?  Most Certainly.  Can I live with the current selections?  Most Certainly.

But I am far from "satisfied" from the Endings, but I haven't yet experienced the full story of Mass Effect 3, So I have witheld judgement.  Ask me when I finished ME 3.  I'll have a better Idea then.

I respect that you dislike the endings (and in part do agree), but do realise that BSN is a small fragment of all those who play Mass Effect.

The only way they could make me more pissed is Shepard wakes up from modern day Vancouver and finds out it was all a dream, though now that I think about it, I would have loved that to be the ending, it would have been better then the one we all saw at least.

The choices didn't matter at the end. That's a huge reason why everyone feels so angry and betrayed.

Basically what you listed about your choices mattering and having impact and all that were the promises that they broke.

Go and read the quotation thread. There were such promises indeed (Casey Hudson i.e.).

Exactly, and yes there were interveiws earlier in the year when they said they would have a "happy" ending... if this is their definition of happy they are some sadistic SOB's

It's not about promising anything. It's about offering the choice of having the ending you want.
If you're gonna make an entire series revolving around the choices you make just for them to mean nill in the end atleast give the option to have the "And everyone lives happily ever after" ending.
Plus hot dog i really don't like the after the credits part where it's all like "Yup. This has happened already. It's a story being told" Yeaah.

No.

To be honest, Bioware:

I feel like you punched me right in the face. All the Endings seem to "suck". I have read the possible endings on justpushstart. and if those are true (which I kinda believe, because one of the described endings is the one I just had. Shepard..no wait, my virtual me, dies to destroy the reapers and technology to save biologic life).

I worked my ass off to be a mix of a goody two-shoes (renegade and paragon mixed) and I get this? No "perfect" ending? My Shepard is doomed to die unless I re-play ME2 now (or even ME 1 + 2) and do some things different and even play ME3 Multiplayer. ****, no...this is wrong in so many ways...

It really can't be that hard to make a few new endings and give it to us as downloadable content.
