I am playing through with an open mind but what I've read concerns me. While it is sad I can live with the mass relay's blowing up because if the writers want to take away one of the more unique and distinguishing aspects of their universe and replace it with generic warp drive style culture that's their choice.

What I don't like is the unnecessary FU note of a contrivance that the Normandy getting stranded somewhere and Shepard if she lives is separated from her LI. That seems completely pointless and is just a giant ,,!,, to the fans who have loved this game from the beginning.

What possible artistic purpose can this serve?

The ending was simply the wreck of a failtrain sinking into the ocean and felt like it was tacked on at the very end because no one could figure out what to do.

i'm giving it a bit, about a week, before i write EA an email, detailing all of their games i've purchased (it's a lengthy list) and how this will be the last one that i do until there's a decent end for ME4.....if they hear this en mass our chances improve...

LOL. I don't think the ending of ME4 is at issue here. Image IPB

The ending didnt feel like Mass Effect to me. Its like some other people made the ending and pasted it in the game.

Oddly enough, it reminded me a little of the ending of the Matrix trilogy. Except that was better. :?

Haha, I normally do, I was just too caught up in the gameplay to remember to save this time around. /facepalm

@PerfectLife
perhaps we ARE all mad, but at least we are doing something. Last i knew, trolls were just ugly useless things that hide under bridges because they havent got the quads to even say hello, let alone do anything worthwhile. Like rugs, the world walks over them every day, not even noticing they're there, that your there. Do you really want to be a troll the rest of your life?? Take a side, with us, against us or somewhere in the middle. But if you want to be a coward and a troll, then please go somewhere else..

there are many who liked the end, and i'm glad they did....

i don't need flowers, sunshine and a fairy tale ending.....but saving the galaxy and being able to celebrate about it with those who lived (i don't expect it to be everybody) isn't too much to ask...

Exactly right. I don't see why Bioware thinks everyone would love a downer ending.

I see BW comment on lots of stuff with ME3 past day, why wont they say anything on this subject it is by far the most posted thing for the last 48 hours. The fans of this game and people who played the past 4-5 years deserve something,

The ending(s) are such a let down, the vast majority are voicing this yet no one seems to care, its a shame they decided on this.

The fact that these endings are the only thing that we get for all the time and attachment to the game the LI and .... bahhh its just frustrating after waiting with as much anticipation as we did.

the reasoning behind it makes sense....if they are to do something like ME4, they want to start from roughly the same place.....so....the endings don't differ much....but they've said for over a year, this is the end to sheps story....so have an ending where he destroys the reapers....and celebrates it with his mates....his absence from future games could be explained away with a sentence....

"why do you need me to help defend the galaxy while it's fragile counselor? why not get shepard....he destroyed the reapers....

shep is retired, he risked everything for the galaxy and saved life as we know it...and he lost a lot of friends on the  way, we can ask no more of him"

the game could come out in europe and they could all love the ending and those making noise now could become the minority....i'm sure they're going to give it a bit and not do anything knee jerk, at least until they see a larger response...

So they should have given a suicide option then so you can simply screw over the galexy at large and let the reapers run amok too.

they said a while back they wouldn't do this (have an ending where you completely fail) as they thought most players would just restart that save anyways....

Agreed. I mean, Tali jumps off a clift, Liara dies in the final ground assault ( but mysteriously reappears on the normandy after it crash lands?? ) Everyone who Shep gathered around him is dead, and he got them killed.. Suicide sounds logical to me.. He's obviously somewhere between the quarian homeworld and the ending, become completely incompetent. If this was mid 17th century Japan, Shep wouldnt be the only one having to comit Seppuku. The entirety of Bioware would be following him.

Its like they got to the end and decided to **** us all over. Yeah there are different endings but its like the difference in being peed on or having a bucket full of it thrown at you. You are still gonna be covered in pee, and the only difference is one way sucks more than the other.
