The first thing I did when I got to the end was turn around and walk backwards.I thought maybe it's a trick and there's a 4th option... I was hoping for anything at that point.. lol

I liked the game, but the endings seems to be really bad. I don't even want to play it again to see the other endings.

The guy who wrote the Thane, Legion, Mordin death scenes is not the same guy that wrote the ending (These characters were done justice). The epilogue leaves a lot of questions unanswered unlike Dragon Age:Origins (And that was one game, not a trilogy).

The endings work for games like Deus Ex and HR because there are no imports or squeals and the protagonist is the story (not anyone else).

Do you guys realize they cut out about 1/3 of the dialog by taking out neutral options?

Question: Both IGN and Gamefont talk about some secret post-credits ending if you play through the game a second time with perfect military strength.

http://www.gamefront...he-best-ending/
http://www.ign.com/w...ffect-3/Endings

Can we get any confirmation of this? All I got past the credits is the stargazer scene which I believe everyone gets. Does this secret ending exist and what is it?

It also begs the question, what is the Catalyst. How did it come to being and what lead it to believe Synthetics were such a big enough threat that it itself would become Synthetic, create Synthetics, and create the cycle. It's mind boggling to me how contradicting it has become at this point.

I don't know there hasn't been any proof so far.... I wish there were video of it or something...

Just going to add my voice real quick. Overall I still love(ed) ME3 and the entire trilogy has been one fantastic ride. However, the endings really were a jolt for myself and many others. Giving us more apparent choice, letting our decisions play out in some kind of exposition or just making the ending brighter would enhance the complete experience so much for me.

Please oh please BioWare, re-evaluate your endings.

I read somewhere that the revenue streams from DLCs for various companies have been steadily growing. The general tone of the endings is a downer and i can only assume this will have a negative impact on DLC sales. Really, what is the point of adding another chapter on the march to an end which is a game of rock, paper, siccors? Unless it adds lizard, Spock....

So in that respect the only DLC they would likely be doing is along the lines of Darkspawn Chronicles or Lelieanna's Song. All requiring minimal to no interaction with the main storyline. This implies multi-player DLC or one showing the impact of your decisions down the road. The "one more story", if you will. It also neatly explains the ending that drew to a common narritive conclusion. But we all see how well that was handled in DA II, so forgive me for being sceptical.

And that comes back to the beginning. They are making increasingly more profit off of DLC, but those sales are largely dependant on the game they are attached to. ME1 DLC was lukewarm. All the ME2 story DLC were solid and contributed to the overall suicide mission success. ME3? Many people have lost interest already.

The ending of Mass Effect 3 is the game equivalent of Highlander 2. Its totally epic fail.

Are you saying that you expect a director's cut where the only significant change is that it turns out the Reapers are from the future?

better ending please... replace the kid with harbinger.

that wouldn't make sense since harbinger is a Reaper and the master AI controls the Reapers.

You can't have both roles filled by the same people

Harbinger is the oldest Reaper. It makes sense for him to be their leader.

Get rid of the dumb master AI/sky wizard or whatever that unexplained garbage was. I see no point in him being around.

About the way you handled Romanced Thane, and those infamous endings? My last dollar, Bioware, you've seen it.

Unless some really promising DLC comes along - and I watch it on Youtube. 'Cause, frankly? Playing 3 was painful. I don't need this.

That wasn't a kid, the catalyst just took a form shepard would be familiar with from his memories. Why else would it be human instead of whatever species created it?

No it doesn't cuz
Harbinger is still a Reaper. It doesn't matter how old they are. They're controlled just like the others.

Him being the oldest just means that they were the first to be turned. Nothing more.

For the weapon to work you need him, so he's needed.

Replace the collector base with the citidel.

Maybe when I get to the choice, instead of choosing, I'll just quit out and start up my ME2 ending playlist.

That right there is why the music of that entire sequence still moves me. From the relay to roll credits.

You miss the point. They don't need to be controlled. They're more interesting without it.

I think we all agree that the ending is the only part of the game that is a let down. t seemed completely un-thought out. I mean, On one hand, they have us gather this huge frikkin armada which gets decimated. Hey thats great, except one thresher maw took out a reaper?? Give me a thousand thresher maws.. Also, what happened to those incredibly over pampered phalynx guns on the normandy. Sheesh, those things took out a collector ship which is a hundred times bigger than a reaper. Where was Normandy?? Where was Biowares galactic readiness??
Dear bioware. i'm sorry, but you get what you ask for. We got what we asked for for six years, and now, your getting what you asked for.
Ya know, I really would have liked to have seen normandy fly in with those big old guns and watch it shove em right up harbingers ass.
And yeah, a few hundred reapers against a few hundred thousand ships in the armada, with a three second interval between each reaper shot?? The reapers would have been dead if not in a heart beat, then in two heart beats.
And whats this "you cant win unless you play multiplayer" ****. How dare you try nd force me into doing something i dont want to do, just to win this game. Stop treating us like a bunch of drooling mindless addicts hell bent on spending all our money on your game. We ARENT. We have better things to do than run around some contrived battleground trying to blow each others brains out ( or balls off ). You say you thought this ending through for five years. You say its been in the making with a team thats been together since the beginning. Stop Lying to us. We arent stupid.
There's no reason for shep to die. Therea no reason for the armada to be decimated and there sure as hell aint no reason for some creepy ego maniacal child god to exist at all. You wnt this real?? you want this like a war?? then give us Dresden, or London or Stalingrad, or Nagasaki or Hiroshima. Give us the rubble, the dead, the utter devastation of having to pick up the pieces. Dont give us some psychopathic five year old ghost.
Three days and damn, i'm still pissed.
Please Bioware, get your **** together. Put the normandy in the fight ( you make it run away ); Lose the flippin kid-god that thinks it has to kill you before you turn into something that resembles it. No wait, before it harvests/eats you so you dont become like it. What? God cant take a little competition?? Whats it afraid of?? Give us a real ending. So what if i end up finding Liara's hand/head/leg in the rubble. its not like i havent had to go through that before ( in real life ).
Dont cop out on us at the end. We've stuck with you, and now you need to stick with us.
