Am I the only one that is actually having trouble going to sleep. I haven't slept since I finished the game because my mind keeps thinking back to the ending. The only thing keeping me from selling the game is the hope that there is a fix for this nightmare. I would even take BioWare jumping out and saying "Gotcha!"
When it ended I turned off my xbox, gently set down my controller, went into my bedroom and got under the covers and then cried. I honestly felt like there had been a death in the family. My boyfriend thought I was crazy for acting the way i did but I didn't spend five years of my life falling in love with these characters to have it end like this.
Is it so bad to want the "cliche" happy ending for my Shepard?
Nah you're not the only one. It's been a few hours since I finished the game and I'm still upset. I bawled multiple times during the game because I was so emotionally invested in what was going on, due in no small part to the writing which up until the ending was, IMHO, mind-blowing. I sobbed when Anderson died (I thought that moment there was incredibly touching), and I bawled again when my Shepard died. Half of it was because, well, he was dying, the other half I was actually crying bitter tears because of what I was watching. The final straw was the lack of closure for about everything. What happens to everyone?? And when I think about his friends, his LI (Tali in my case) who will never see him again (god that's cruel, especially considering that her romance was really touching in this game...), the races and the Normandy that got stranded far away from their homes, I just want to cry again. I feel empty. It'll pass eventually, but for now it's not a nice feeling.
Also, what AnttiV and Razith wrote. I like their ideas, and I actually expected something like that. I don't even know how I'm going to be able to play my other playthroughs knowing that nothing I do - and nothing I spent countless hours doing in ME1 and ME2 - actually matters.

Characters seem to interact more with each other than Shepard.
So many unfinished story plots, lack of explanation, and discontinuities. (When a Mass Relay expoldes it destroys that galaxy ... i.e. 'Arrival' )
Why EMS relies on Multiplayer, I thought you could get the best ending without it?
Why is Anderson an admiral? What's the point in choosing if it's forced that he be in this role for ME3.
Harbinger introduced to be a name for the sake of it, no real role in ME3? Instead this new 'child' and the IM are the main focus.
What happens to all your crew members, planets, and everthing else you worked to protect?
After 6 months away from crew and LI its the little boy that inhabits sheps dreams?
Where are choices? The whole game seemed forced. (Auto dialogue and all)
Game long characters had no induced conversations where other characters (Bailey, Eve, Mordin) kept traditional conversations (Like ME2).
Did multiplayer kill the lack of space so much that we had to give a little in the single player experience?
The Journal is horrid. Separte my quests like ME2.
Why is there no 'Prologue' to explain the time between ME2 > ME3.
Why is there no interactive comic for ME3 that allows you to not have to replay (80hrs) the others to make choices. Also, all side missions and extras should be assumed complete so players don't miss out on 'Kelly in ME3' because they did not want to replay ME2. (I know I don't, Kelly bugged for 2 of my games where she would not progress with romance)
Normandy CIC level is designed like crap. Pull open the map, there is a better way to make use of the level of the ship.
After 6 months in Alliance care, the Normandy on the iside looks like ****. What happend to my awesome future ship and it's shiny-ness. It now looks like trash, polished trash.
As mentions, plot holes and missions that don't have real meaning. Story is so broken.
Choices from previous games either matter so little, or effect things that make no sense. (Collctor Base effects ending ... ?)
Having to repurchase the items collected in ME2 with a ME2 import makes no sense.
The Prothean seems so important to missions and the story ... why was it DLC ?
THE ENDING = **** ... [inserting QQ and rage here] (Relay blows up = Galaxies destroyed, Normandy crashing / near Relay when it was suppose to be on/near Crucible to help Shepard, Team mates for Mission on Normandy ... like they just said 'screw this fight ... run away ... sorry Shep', never mind the plot ... Destroy, Merge, Control ... The Kid (organics create syn to kill organics from creating syn that would kill organincs), all reaper tech is gone - citadel)
Ashley and Tali not in your party for the mojority of the game at all, forced to using 4 sqaud mates (5 if you have Javik).
Scanning is better, but the whole Reaper chasing you is kind of missplaced.
Photoshop jobs (Tali's Face, Stargazer) How does Tali have a picture ... their race hasn't been on their home planet for decades. She's lived in her suit her whole life. Should have been a real showing of her face if you romance her, that would have been a real reward. (There is a perfect picture for this http://static.gamesr...ticle_image.jpg , since Bioware likes google - use this)

All i wanted from endings was

1. You didn't prepare enough and everybody dies, The Reapers win
2. You sacrifice your alien allies fleets to save humanity and defeat the Reapers
Paragon
1. You didn't prepare enough and have to sacrifice yourself and the human fleets to save the rest of the galaxy.
2. You rally the entire galaxy against the Reapers and destroy them becoming a galactic hero.
^ I just wanted to get some more exposure in a giant thread for a simple and preferred endings.
Did I miss anything?
I spent some much time in the Bioware created worlds, and the last 3 games just kill me.
I feel this is DA2 all over again ... SWTOR all over agian ... I loved Bioware so much.

to all the people saying they cant sleep or they cant eat cuz of the ending u people seriously need to get a life its just a video game i bet u dont even get this upset over family members dying.
I have enough of how sucky real life can be. My husband is in a warzone and there are days I don't hear from him. I worry daily that I never will again. Last few years I have lost both grandmas, my uncle and my dad fell through the ice and almost died. I am totally powerless to do anything about it.
Simple thing is real life sucks sometimes. I read books, play games, watch movies to escape for a bit from my worries. I want the good guys to win. There maybe hardships along the way, sacrifices to be made, but if I do everything right I get a glimmer of a happy ending. Mordan, Legion, Thane and Miranda dying was heartbreaking enough for me; and I wasn't even a huge fan of Miranda. Some of the choices I made where hard. I sat back and though about them for over 10 minutes before making a choice. Everything was made meaningless with the end. It's no longer a series I can play. Happy ending wouldnt be everyone living....would be if I did everything right I would have a chance to ride off into the sunset with those who survived.
Happy endings are not a bad thing. Hope is not a bad thing.
this, so much.
(also, i'm pretty sure that my dead father would be just as upset. the only thing that ever brought us together were things like comics, movies and books. assuming things like "
i bet u dont even get this upset over family members dying." is just below the belt.)

I think they just renamed the forum. They did however move a different ending thread here from the Story section, so who knows?

I really hope so. It would be so sad, if BioWare would silence the opposition. They were so a likeable developer once.J5550123 wrote...

Did you notice? BW wiped out the whole Quarian race with it's decision to make the mass relays to explode. The whole fleet in in Sol System and how can they survive? I mean the human food is mostly poisonous to quarians. Not to mention that there is definatly not enough room for the whole species who sent troops...
FTL travel is still via able just takes longer. The relays boost the FTL drives in ship to go faster than they could otherwise.
Not ever ship in the galaxy was destroyed. Just the relays.

This.
There should've been a choice to give up Earth to save the rest of the galaxy. Plus it wouldn't destroy the human race. And I honestly thought there was going to be a decision like that in the game...or something similar.
