Hah! I hadn't thought of that...

24 hours later and the endings still leave a sick pit in my stomach. I just can't believe they ruined the whole series for me.

The important thing we need to try and get across to the developers... Is that the endings aren't something we can just "live with". Most of us agree the rest of the game was great but we need to make sure Bioware knows how much the endings soured that whole experience for us.

What we feel and how we speak of the game will decide the legacy of not just Mass Effect 3 but the whole legacy. If Bioware waits too long to correct their mistakes then it will be too late. Their legacy will be set in stone and Mass Effect will never have the chance to be what it could have... should have been.

Once again, do not lurk. Add your voice with ours to prove that those who dislike the endings are NOT a minority. We aren't impossible to satisfy. All we want is the chance to end the story the way we were promised.

Total agreeance!  I supported SWTOR for years and was part of the testing since...oh gosh I don't remember how long.  Anyway, I have been a diehard Bioware fan even getting past DA2's ending and even finding some enjoyment in it.  However, they certainly are doing an excellent job of driving me away.  Also, though in the grand scheme its a ver small group, but I have many, many friends who take my video game reviews and advice VERY seriously.  If Bioware loses me, they lose all of them.

For the record, EA needs to take a page out of the Valve playbook and allow their game developers the time to make their games perfect (ala Portal 2).  And oh btw money grabbers, Gabe Newell is now on the Forbes list.  (for the record Gabe is pretty much the hero of the gaming world.  New ending to ME3, Gabe shows up on that infamous platform, squaches the Guardian by sitting on him, and saves the universe by releasing Half Life 3)

Please people remember to post your reviews in the official review thread -- that is where the biggest impact can be felt, I think. Not because I believe those are the posts that will be forwarded to developers, but because those are the posts people thinking about buying the game are likely to see. Also, it is stickied. :)

Yeah, I get there are people who didn't mind the ending, even liked it. But it seems to me that a larger group of people are actually upset. I'm guessing it will be next week before we hear anything from Bioware. :(

I'm really curious to see the reaction from European and other fans who finally had the game released for them. I hope Bioware will start to notice and SAY SOMETHING about our reactions.

I don't know about you, but i actually have a problem with the whole Crucible thing.
I mean, finding a weapon that will destroy reapers just as they started attacking, and not a day before (yes i know about Liaras' little speech on Mars), is really really bad idea not to say a big ass cliche.

"i think we have something hurr durr" ... what the hell were you doing for the last 6 months to say the least >_<

Apparently originally they planned that you wouldn't have to fight him, but they added him in anyway because "they needed another boss". Orsino, that is. I don't know what the f*ck was up with the Guardian.

It has actually ruined all of my want to play any video game ever again, sadly.

I fear the European opinion is tainted. Many people are forming opinions based on what others tell them about the ending. Then they'll hold onto that and, even when they see the endings, they'll reinforce it. They'll look for the part to hate and focus on it.

As a scientist, I regret the terrible data contamination. As a video and computer game enthusiast, I just want better endings, dag nabbit. So I'm okay with the contamination so long as nobody passes it off as accurate.

How are they going to make any DLC for this game now, its just like fallout 3 was. Unless all the DLC is new outfits and maps for multiplayer.

His Twitter....excellent trolling if I may say so myself.

Realllyyy? Reeeaalllyy?  He thinks there is a happy ending? He thinks there is variety in the endings? He thinks we actually see or understand the outcome of our decision? HA! That is hilarious, sad and confusing all at the same time.

I would seriously like to know what is he and everyone else on the ME team think is happy about the ending. They certainly can't mean Shep...so what the heck are they talking about? The end of the Reapers? Well that happens no matter the choice you make....

I have quite a few gaming friends that I've warned about this game, too. For myself, I knew I wanted to play the game so I bit the bullet. However, I tend to buy RPG's twice: once on console and once for PC, including DLC. Needless to say, I only bought the PS3 version, and that is the end of my ME3 purchases until someone releases a particularly good ending fanmod for PC or BW releases an official alternative ending that makes sense and keeps Shep with his crew/LI.

I'm not being optimistic about this, in general. But let's not assume they're downplaying it. Let's give them time to assess their options and commit to a solution. They can't turn on a dime.

Ive played two of the endings. I am not happy with either one, Yes, Shepard's chest heaved in one of them, but the rest of the crew is on some unknown world? The endings were retarded. The first two games were almost peerless. Give me like a brief view of Tali (or whoever) and Shepard on Rannoch at the end. Something. One more ending would be nice. I am not happy about the endings given after all the dlc, and every other Mass Effect item I have purchased. The support we have given over the last five years isn't worth it, if this is how it ends.

@frankenettles:  The DLC will kick off at the last save point, so right before the end essentially. I'm... Not sure why I'd bother with it, as we already know it's going to be irrelevant to the ending.

The more I think about it, the happier I'd be with a "fade to black staring out the window" ending, perhaps with a touch of "weapon begins powering up". Heck, combine it, megaweapon powers up, looks like it's going to fire, cut to black. (If anyone's reading this, I officially relinquish all rights to that idea; have at it, make something good with it.)

I mean it's just less... Matrixy. Less "welp, I know we said it was your story, but here's OUR endings, enjoy".

Has anyone from bioware even commented on the amount of dissatisfaction?

Nope

Wait until it is released everwhere, I don't think asia has it yet.  Then add a week onto that, just enough time for everybody who was going to buy, time to play (and not return it).  They won't acknowledge it till then.  When they do the gaming press will be all over it and they won't have hurt their own initial sales through bad press.

They probably want to say something (I would if it was my game) but I guess higher ups or marketing(what a waste of money) have told them not to comment.

Just a cynical view point.Image IPB
