They are prepping the proper PR lines. They will slip them in anywhere they can, believe it. I've already seen the exact same "This was a labor of love and the team is proud of the work they did" line at least a dozen times around here.

Well they have to do some kind of fix if they want to sell DLC, the way it is now they won't have any good numbers of DLC sales, It's just pointless to buy any mid game DLC just to have the same crappy Bioware rainbow at the end.

I've read as much of this thread I could- it's unbelievably long.
I'm SMH. Yes, I've dedicated hundreds of hours playing this series over the years and this ending is breaking my heart!
Because of ME1- I decided to play the DA series. Because of this ending- like other fans have said- it has ruined the replay value- I don't know if I can even bother buying DA3 whenever it's released in the future at this point. I hate to say this, I hate to dismiss this company in the future because of my disappointment because I love Bioware but I don't want to be punched in the gut for caring about the characters they develop.
I didn't play this game because it's "logical" and I certainly won't walk away from the ending pleased because "it's logical". There IS a way to write the ending without devastating your fans and not have it be a complete HEA. As a life long reader- I have abandoned authors for ruining a series- gutting a story with a horrible ending etc. While the story has to have a believable conclusion considering the threat of the Reapers- an unsettling ending isn't the only hallmark of a more "mature" or logical ending. There is an annoying tendency to dismiss all and anyone interested in happier endings. This is fiction and people read and enjoy the fiction in games for enjoyment. What one will enjoy vs another of course is debatable but clearly good or happy endings are satisfying for a wide swath of fans of any fiction. (And yes I read hard sci fi and all of the subgenres and have since I was a child- you don't run into HEA territory often- but this game is written as a space opera and the romance aspect held a lot of us in the thrall of the possibilities story wise)

It is not an asinine thing to disagree about the quality of the ending- and I will not devolve into personally attacking Bioware or it's employees because that's just stupid, but alas, I'm heartbroken about this series ending.

What annoys me is that I've met Joker, I know my squad, for them to have been racing away at the end seems... really, really, wrong. They would still be on Earth. The best possible (alleged) ending, I haven't gotten it myself, is for Shep to be lying among the rubble (or we assume it's Shep based on N7 tags) to take a sudden breath, which would have been great with me, the ending you had to work for, if the Normandy hadn't taken off. If that happened I wouldn't have even needed some kind of meet up at the end because you know it'll be there.

This sucks beyond Dragon Age 2 ending.

I wanted a simple ending - we beat the reapers, galaxy life goes and and me with garrus go tobar, I get a house with Liara, visit Joker/EDI wedding...

What I got is bull**** short ending. BULL****

Doesn't end there. You can actually contact sites like Kotaku and have them report on this.

That's a huge step, cause a lot of sites will then see that Kotaku reported on it and will investigate themselves.

I enjoyed it up to the moment when Shepard got struck by the Reaper (I suppose that was Harbinger). Endings suck.
