The ending with Shepard breathing strongly suggests you're waking up after getting downed going for the beam with hammer. You can't breathe air in space, and the citadel was destroyed along with you from what we can ALL see.
Or... perhaps you're all the way back at ME1, in the rubble after defeating Saren and Sovereign, and ME2 and 3 were both dreams.
Literary hammers need to pound literary nails or else a story is just swinging at things for no reason. There is not even a hint of it being a dream ending (though it might work technically) and leaving something like that up to peoples' imaginations is just going to cause massive confusion and annoyance.
Which it seems to have done.

Hey guys...idk if anyones ever mentioned this...or is even aware...but on the last page of the Collectors Edition Art Book....it says "The Crucible is meant to evoke an enormous, rocket-propelled bomb: something like a cross between the Trinity Bomb and a NASA space probe."
So uh....the Crucible did nothing like this....at all....coincidence?
I think they meant more in a visual sense, not a literal sense.
The point is...I think this is more than a play of words...and relates to the whole "the ending was a hallucination" thing described here. And if it is....then simply making it a giant space bomb would be far more accetable then the s*** we've been force fed as it is.

That would be awesome if it were true. But until there is something showing among official channels, I can't bring myself to hope that this is nothing more than a well-meaning fan's attempt to bring hope among the masses (or an evil jerk just messing with us).

Exactly! It makes no sense! Not only that but I doubt that Joker or my LI wouldn't try to establish communication with me to try and get me out of the Citadel.Lurchibald wrote...

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but, how the hell did the crew return to the normandy?
I mean, in my game, Ash died at the end, taken by the reaper, and you just met everyone else on earth, did the normandy just swing by and picked them up or something?? And Ash DIED for crying out loud, the only one who could have survived is Joker. Where is the logic in all this. As for the ending, I wont even say anything.
I don't really understand it either. When I started running towards the beam, my team was not there with me. Which is fine by me, since I probably would have yelled at them to stay back anyways...
What boggles my mind isn't that they made it back to the normandy instead of staying put with the ground forces... It's the fact that Joker decided to take the Normandy for a Joy ride through the Mass Relays when he knew that I had made it to the Citadel in order to stop the reapers.
Was he running away? Gee Joker, thanks for the vote of confidence. Why couldn't you bring the Normandy around and pick me up after I destroyed the reapers instead of leaving me in a pile of rubble while you go off to play Tarzan with Garrus.
The thing too is that the Normandy is an Alliance vessel and would have been told to help in the battle above Earth, I can't see the Alliance allowing one of their most advanced ships run away, I also couldn't see Joker or anyone else on the Normandy run away like scared little children, they would have fought and gave their lives if necessary (especially considering all of your squad said they were willing to give their lives)
Not that it would be hard, I was walking outside in the nice open space. They could have brought the normandy to the side and all I had to do was jump.

The last DLC seems interesting and could save this game for me. as long as they don't release it in that order

Thing is though, how would a romance DLC work for those without romances?
Us Talimancers and the Liaramancers missed out on a "date" with our LIs, though. I know that much.
The brodate/date with Garrus was beyond pic, though.

It is, however, a testament to how good the rest of the game, and the series is, that I care this much. But the lack of real choices at the end, for a series where more than any other I've been able to define my own path, is very distressing. If the entire story had been cinematics with no player choice, just "this is our story of Commander Shepard," then I'd have been okay with how it ended. But it wasn't. This was my story. My choices. And to have that ripped away at the end really disappoints me.

True... I did look into the artbook again on a hunch and there's artwork for the run-up to TIM's hideout where we would have fought him. But the image itself looks more like the Citadel with the corpses lying around. Plus if it's TIM's hideout, why is Anderson behind Shepard in the art? I think the artbook is lying to us, so who knows?

I know you want something to save the game, but please, don't listen to info like this. No way it's true.
