Thing is though, how would a romance DLC work for those without romances?

and evidently takes place before the death of shepard, right?

*Imagines Shepard and LI frolicing through the forest like Na'vi*
I will go Moro on this one...

While Shepard wasnt on the Normandy in the current endings, it implies they will be adding one where she IS on the Normandy. Or maybe it's implied if you do get survive, you rush abck to the Normandy before the Crucible fires, dunno. Either way it's a small, tiny Glimmer of hope, I suggest clinging to it for dear life.

You often catch the guilty when you catch their fallacies.  I doubt this is a real source.  Besides from what I know, gaming companies usually have their employees sign non disclosure contracts.  I highly doubt anyone from bioware would risk breach of contract to let us know vaguely what they have planned.

Well as a rule, anything posted on 4chan like the image above is fake so I dont think there will be the DLC the guy said.

It doesn't make any sense though.

Shepard wasn't with the crew on the Jungle Planet, and if Shepard doesn't have a romance option, the romance DLC is pointless.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but, how the hell did the crew return to the normandy?

I mean, in my game, Ash died at the end, taken by the reaper, and you just met everyone else on earth, did the normandy just swing by and picked them up or something?? And Ash DIED for crying out loud, the only one who could have survived is Joker. Where is the logic in all this. As for the ending, I wont even say anything.

And what could they possibly be thinking while writing that scene? That it would be a warm moment of hope for us?

No. All I thought was "Those treacherous b******s. How dare they leave me to die and run away?"

Not a very nice thought for the last moment of an otherwise amazing trilogy. So as far as I care the game ends with Joker trying to escape the blast without the squadmates on board. Or maybe it ends with Shepard and Anderson watching Earth...

Don't cling on unvarefied words, do not be placated by the anonymous throes of the internet. Demand direct Dev response, do not settle for this.

An unknown source with info that looks plain wrong....would be better to focus on actually making Bioware do something.

They probably told all of their employees to be very tight lipped until BW send out a solution or a deal with it appology.

Unless this 'minor bioware employee' is just spreading info they have found. That and they havn't played the games and don't understand the story.

If I claimed, in this thread, that I was friends with an anonymous inside source at BioWare who told me they were working on an ending where you get reunited, would you believe me? At this point, I'd say my claim and the 4chan post would have the same amount of credibility.

Which is none.

S/He wasn't, ha?... We don't see WHERE s/he was, if s/he suvived... we just see stones and rubble... could be a jungle too. Also: We see Joker trying to flee... whant we don't see is who else he might have picked up BEFORE turning tail...

Many possibilities there...

Still... questionable source is questionable.^^

My problem with the ending, as it is the problem for others, is that the synthetics rebelling against organics plot has only ever been a sideplot in the Mass Effect franchise and now all of a sudden this fact is the sole motivation of the Reapers and that damn meddling kid.

In all the games and even at the end of the game the reapers/skykid tell us that the reapers are the solution to chaos. What bothers me is that BioWare chose the synthetics vs. organics as a synonym for this chaos. Why not show us the many examples in the series. In a way we can see the Salarians as creators of the Krogans. Show us David and the rogue AI from Overlord.

Wouldn't it be much better if the Artifact explained to us that organic evolution will in some way or another always lead to the extinction of the galaxy's races and recourses and that he has seen this countless times in different scenarios in other galaxys? Wouldn't it be better that the Artifact explained to us that organics simply cannot live, coexist and above all cannot evolve in a profitable way for an infinite amount of time and that the Artifact chose to find a (be it bitter) solution for our own galaxy?

Shepard could then give a counterargument and show us that he united all the races and got them to live in peace with eachother.

The Artifact in turn would show us the ironic fact in that event. That it can only take a force that removes them from the galaxy to bring the galaxy together in peace.

After that we could have the option to persuede the Artifact (we are the first organic to stand there after all and he tells us his solution doesn't work anymore) to either;

- let us be and give us a chance to show it that we can live in peace and coexist with eachother eternally, but with the chance that in the long run it will indeed create a messed up galaxy. (a true bittersweet ending imo, a happy end, but the existing chance of a dark future)

and of course have the other options without persuasion:

- let the reapers continue and let shepard and the rest of the advanced species die

- destroy the reapers and all their technology

After that I would still like some closure of course, instead of the lame normandy on remote world cinematic.

Shepard was pretty heavily injured. I doubt (s)he'd be flung from the Citadel to a jungle planet, even Earth, under some rubble after picking Destroy.

I mean, when it comes down to it, you're choosing to believe an anonymous poster at 4chan because (s)he claims to be a BioWare developer with an inside scoop.

Think of how ridiculous that sounds and determine how questionable that source really is.

Yeah, I'm just grasping at straws at this point. I don't want to believe that what Bioware just did to us is the true ending.

I don't think the endings would have bothered me if I hadn't become so..invested in the Mass Effect Trilogy. But, how could I not?

I could hardly sleep last night, I felt such a lack of closure and disregard for all my decisions. Decisions that spanned the course of three otherwise excellent, excellent games.

I don't post much and haven't been to this forum in a while but I wanted to see what people's reaction to the endings and I feel the same as most of you guys here. The endings just sucked.

I played paragon and always try to go for the peaceful options. Like trying to smooth things over between Quarians/Geth and trying to cure the genophage.

Paragon ending should have been something like this in my opinion.....

I know... Five years of watching my decisions and relationships shape the worlds of Mass Effect... Only to have it all ripped away from me at the last minute... It's a heavy emotional investment. But I'm sure BioWare won't just leave it like this... They have to fix it.
