So we can't get the ending we want after all?

My friend played ME1 because it was made by Bioware and Bioware made Knights of the Old Republic.
She played Knights of the Old Republic because she loved Star Wars.
Thus this entire crap ending is George Lucas fault.
Flawless logic.

In all fairness, they have a lose/lose situation.
If they say anything it will etiher hurt sales (by aknowledgeing the problem) or ****** people off even more(dismissing the community concerns).
At the moment they are probably using the standard method for damage control. Stay silent and hope it dies out and if it doesnt then they will make an official statement. So anything official is still way off, especially considering that they have already planned their dlc, so an epilogue dlc or smt similar is not something they can have out anytime soon.
Yeah, they will probably strat taking this seriously once they see the lolsales of the Omega DLC they have planned.
I just dont understand what the sense of them making DLC's is. Yeah, i know, all the DLC's happen before the ending. just like the game continuance. Who the hell wants to do that?? They wanna make DLC's? Then they shouldnt have killed the game, and totally pissed off the community. Since they want to force us into playing mlti-player, i can only imagine thats where the DLC's are headed. but even there, I was there as the mass exodus from SWTOR started and held onto my own hopes, but now, its pretty confirmed that bioware has gone beyond the pale, and no longer care about the very people or things that made them great.
I seriously hope they prove me wrong.

You know what? That's the reason the ending feels so lackluster!
The whole game is about build up... preparing for the final battle... while it should have been about the reaper war it self, and when the ending finally comes, all this preparation doesn't even really count. All that counts is this cryptic EMS number, and all that does is funnel the whole story into one ending.

What if this is all an EA ploy to combat piracy, and their wave of the future is you buy the first half of the game, and then after activation you can download the second half?

A good way of not making them listen is to continue the bullying style of complaining, which has become the norm on BSN. I really think that we need to keep things civil and constructive, Taking a dump on the entire game because of the last minutes is not really being constructive. But i guess thats a naive hope, considering that this is the internet
Giving the typical responses of gaming communities, I actually think the thoughts expressed in this thread are REMARKABLY civil over all. We could easily have had tons of these "LOL BIOWARE U SUCK I h8 U NEVR BUYING ANOTHER BIOWARE GAEM" comments, but I haven't seen any yet. People are expressing frustration and sometimes anger, but they have the right to. I think everyone here agrees that the reason they're so ticked is BECAUSE they love the game so damn much.
I do agree that this thread has stayed mostly on topic. I Have seens lots and lots of threads that were created where its way over the top. I definitely agree that people are upset because they care, and thats a tribute to the characters and story that bioware have created which is something they should realise amongst all the negatives about the endings. If we didnt enjoy the journey we wouldnt be here now asking questions. I have loved the me universe from day one, and the epilogue was just such an anticlimax and i hope they can accomodate us in some way.

Normally, I would love a romance DLC. Any excuse to see more cute scenes between my Shepard and Tali.
Now, honestly, I just don't care. Since, unless that fix that ending, EVERYTHING that happens prior is rendered completely meaningless. Or, that's how I feel, anyway.
I never thought anything could quell my Tali love... and yet here we are.

I expect we will get the answer after monday, with a major release like ME3 many of the employees take time off and go on a mini vacation before starting on their next project. This seems like something they need to talk over among the project heads.

Seriously though, I finished ME1 at least 15 times. I ran at least 30 ME2 full playthroughs because I was emotionally invested in Shepard, the crew, the entire fraggin' universe.
I "fought" to save those people. To let them rebuild, to let them all emerge from the ashes of destruction, either in peace or at war over the few remaining resources. But first and foremost, I FOUGHT so they could see another day and preserve the galaxy. They deserve a big fraggin' party and Shep deserves a big fraggin' speech from the (new) leaders of the universe, no matter if she lived to see it.
Now, I fought for:
A. Destroy everything, green version.
B. Destroy everything, blue version.
C. Destroy everything, red version.
I feel lke I saved squat. I feel like I could just have let sovereign have his victory in part one, not much difference from the ending we got.
I actually love this franchise, otherwise I would not have gone to this forum to express my feelings. Something you see a lot on the WoW forums is "Well, we hear you, but loads of players think it's fine, you guys here a minority" and I think that holds true. I played WoW for a long time. I never posted on the forums then, despite of all the things I did not agree with, and man, did I love that game. I just love this game more, I love Shepard more than that.
Shepard and the galaxy deserve more than this. For once, just this once, I'm going to add my voice to this case, I want real closure. Hollywood happy endings may be corny, but after all this, I think Shepard, but at least the known galaxy, deserves a corny happy ending.
So in short, Dutch Engineering Team, reporting in.

"Congratulations! You slightly changed a galactic cycle! Undoubtedly billions more will die as galactic civilization is set back tens of thousands of years, in addition to the trillions who already sacrificed themselves, but we'll leave that to your imagination! No, your Shepard will never get anything resembling a real reward for all his hard work, nor will he ever get to spend any more time with his friends or love interest. But hey, at least we vaguely establish that in an untold future your legend becomes a vague forgotten myth in a society were space-faring technology is apparently still a fantasy! Isn't that what you always wanted?"

Sorry, but with their day one DLC mambo jambo, EA has already gone beyond that possibility.
If they do fix the game, they have to do it for free, or they will destroy what little rep they have left. Never underestimate the press... and nearly all major gaming mags are allready on the fence about EA's blatant rip off actions.

QFT. That's the bright side. Didn't care so much about Fallout's ending, for example, because I was so happy that it was still (Barely) playable to the end due to the bugs. I only get angry when the game was fantastic at the start.
