Yeah. How many hours did you pour into that game? How much cash?

Dude, I'd say we earned a happy ending.

Hmm, played through ME1 five complete times and purchased both DLC's, no idea how many hours that is.

Steam says I have pumped 812 hours into ME2... That kinda scares even me but whatever. Bought all the DLC's CE and DD editions.

ME3 was a 29 hour play through missed a couple of things because there are some plot flags that are not correctly setting 100% of the time from LotSB.

The complete ****** off for me is not the money, I go to work and make money, then spend some of it on entertainment. What burns me is why would they do this to their own flippin game? I select my choice at then end and all hell breaks loose and I see the Normandy in trouble and I am like ahh crap, then I am like hey wait a sec the hell they doing leaving me behind?

Then endings aside the cinematic time difference between Tali romance and Liara romance is insane something like 5 min...

Ohio Forces, reporting in!

I'm from Ohio and I'll join the fray! I'll also bring some folks I met at Gamestop to join me!

Where would you like us to coordinate our efforts!?

You got the forces of Dayton, Ohio coming into join the fray aswell!

Glad I'm not the only Ohio member feeling this way! I went to my first midnight release for this game. I would have spared myself the lack of sleep if I knew how the ending was going to make me feel. Some people told me I'm over reating, I still feel sick. Mass Effect has been a big part of my "gaming/fandom" life for the past five years. It hurts.

Cincinnatian here.  Even a Skyline cheese coney can't make the aggravation of this ending feel any better. :)

Okay apparently what we are doing here is having some kind of effect, I just checked the facebook page and found a gamefront article: www.gamefront.com/player-starts-poll-asking-bioware-for-new-mass-effect-3-ending/ they are reporting about the poll for a new ending so we are at least being noticed now. Hopefully this puts things in perspective for Bioware.

Actually I was wondering if anyone made a FB group dedicated to the "change the endings movement"

Ok, i did some digging through the game files and found in one of them this:

We see a child maybe they look a little bit asari a little bit human.
They are looking at the stars on a planet some 10,000 years :( after the events of the game

There is an older male here as well the child looks to the "grandfather" and asks...

Add a Squad of Virginian Sappers to the US Ground Forces. Build 'em up or blow them down, we make it happen.

Is anybody else going to PAX East? Have you looked at the schedule? There's the possibility of some "ground warfare" where we can voice our opinions at a BioWare panel focusing on Mass Effect.

BioWare and Mass Effect
Manticore Theatre
Friday 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Voted the Most Anticipated Game of 2012 at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, Mass Effect 3 is finally here! Join developers for an exciting look at the evolution of the series. Bring your burning questions about Mass Effect 3! Fans wearing Mass Effect costumes will be given special recognition during the panel. Spoiler Alert, Garrus is calibrating and cannot attend.

The countdown clock is currently at 26 hours and 16 days. They have this much time until the complaints gain voice, rather than just text.

I think we are wittnessing the making of a new proverb...

Soon, women all over the planet will utter "you just pulled a Mass Effect 3 ending on me"... in bed.^^

What annoys me the most is the sheer nonsensical of it all. In "The Arrival" The mass relay is destroyed and subsequently destroys the system that it resides in. If the same it to be applied here then essentially all sentient life has been totally obliterated. Secondly, it's as if all the decisions I made prior to that point count for nothing. Which ruins the entire series for me as I know that if I replay then I've got nothing to look forward to beyond that of a truly dire ending. Surely all that's necessary to stop them is to send a "kill message" that would just deactivate them. How does a message as such result (in my case) in the destruction of all synthetic life, the mass relays and the citadel.

I want to play the game beyond the war. I want to see how the quarians rebuild and how my LI (Tali) gets on, what happens to all my crew. Instead I get stuck with some random "Oh they crash landed on some planet lol".
The fact that apparently all games these days feel it necessary to have "bittersweet" endings in order to try to become something to be remembered insults me. If you want a game to be remembered you make a great game, you don't make a completly ridiculous ending that people will discredit you here on out for.

You're more than welcome to have your absurd endings, but at least let the decisions count for something. Have it so that if you get beyond a certain number of war assets then you can destroy the reapers by sheer force of numbers. Make it so you can make decisions as to what happens e.g. Focus down Harbinger at the sacrifice of a slice of your force. Make it so that the crucible functions and destroys half of the reapers and leaves the others in a weakend state. Thus allowing the remaining forces to "mop up" what's left.

I am willing to pay for a DLC package that provides me with an ending that doesn't results in a "whitewash" of everything. I'm sure some people will simply say "well if you pay then EA win". Well quite frankly I feel that strongly over this debacle that I am willing to pay £10 or whatever is required in order to lay my mind to rest. I want an ending that allows me to see how all my crewmembers are, how the quarians are doing, seeing how the asari are reclaiming their homeworld. Let me speak to Garrus, Liara, Bailey and whatever other major characters there are. There are so many threads that aren't tied off by this mess.
Quite frankly I'd wish I'd Alt+F4'd out when it was Anderson and Shepard looking out into space and made the rest of it up.
I'll not be buying another Bioware product until this is all "fixed"

My little brother just finished and called me to see if he screwed something up he is as pissed about this as i am. NO game should end the way this did especially with the following Mass Effect has.

Also add the 6th Mako Armored Div. (my bro loved that thing)

I have a friend who actually wrote a very awesome ending that picks up right where you would leave off, if you did that. Hopefully she'll set it up to be available soon. I'll link when it is :)

This isn't going to turn into another Kony event thing is it?. Just make a massive poll on the forums where Bioware can see it and end of.

“You all know the mission, and what is at stake.
I have come to trust each of you with my life -- but I have also heard murmurs of discontent. I share your concerns.
We are trained for espionage; we would be legends, but the records are sealed. Glory in battle is not our way.
Think of our heroes; the Silent Step, who defeated a nation with a single shot. Or the Ever Alert, who kept armies at bay with hidden facts.
These giants do not seem to give us solace here, but they are not all that we are.
Before the network, there was the fleet. Before diplomacy, there were soldiers!
Our influence stopped the rachni, but before that we held the line!
Our influence stopped the krogan, but before that, we held the line!
Our influence will stop Saren; in the battle today, we will hold the line!”

All the end needed was the Normandy taking out a reaper but getting shot down to earth and Shepard ending up on earth after the citadel explosion. Then a cut scene on earth with celebrations in the background and Shepard + LI holding hands looking outside accompanied by his friends outside at a bright new day. Finally a 20 minute epilogue rolls giving info about what happens to everyone important in the Mass Effect Galaxy.

Seriously its NOT HARD to to please the fans. That ending and epilogue alone would have pleased 90% of people on this thread.

Everything said. They tried too hard. And failed...

OK, got it. The only thing that BW have to understand: ME is not a psychological/philosophical space tragedy. It's a Si-Fi Action. Maybe it's dark and brutal, but hey, remember Starship Troopers. It's dark and brutal too, but still it has a conclusion for war and victory. Same here, I need a logical conclusion for my struggles through trilogy (i always playing on insane difficult, so it's literally…) with ending full of joy of victory, not a brainf***!
