While I am at it:
When you think about it, Crucible is one dumb weapon/machine (not going into dumbness of the idea itself), because, it is able to merge synthetics and organics (change DNA itself) but its just stupid enough not to be able to pick each and every reaper and destroy it. That's just one side of it.

The whole "created will always kill the creator" is just so wrong i can't even comprehend how it got the pass. >_<

Anywho, i posted this earlier, but will repost it again, for the records:

Ok, i did some digging through the game files and found in one of them this:

We see a child maybe they look a little bit asari a little bit human.
They are looking at the stars on a planet some 10,000 years :( after the events of the game

There is an older male here as well the child looks to the "grandfather" and asks...

Any word on the transporting squad-mates at the end? Writing oversight or bug?

Yeah. Same guy also said :

"How could you go through all three
campaigns playing as your Shepard and then be forced into a bespoke
ending that everyone gets?"

Now that he is seeing that the his future revinew might be at stake he should be thinking about how to fix this with the players. They already lied to us countless times before the game was out, now that they have been called on all of it and have heard how this is going to effect their other games(I for one canceled TOR just because of this) they should be trying to fix it.

Why Casey Hudson would ever let the conclusion to his epic and dynamic Sci-fi game franchise become a Kobayashi Maru will always evade me for some time to come.

I'm having the hardest time finding the words to express how angry I am at Bioware for this. WHY would they build this FANTASTIC lore and universe just to throw it all away. WHY did they make us love these characters so much just to see them land on an alien planet with no explaination. WHY did they make us make these galaxy altering decisions just for them to not make a difference. This is a bigger let down than DA2, just because of the fact that there is the gleaming hope that DA3 is it's redeamer, but ME3 is the finally in the trilogy so just, just WTF!!! MY official label for the Bioware-EA alliance is "Trolls of the Internet".

Well, in BioWare's defense... They only said that ME3 was the end of SHEPARD'S story. They never said it was the end of Mass Effect as a whole.

Hey, blowing up every mass relay was just for giggles. Easy to replace.

Doesent matter they destroyed a iconic image of the universe. What? they will use some hyper drives? gee, where is that from.

Well, here and in related articles we were blatently lied to by Bioware. Our decisions had no impact on the ending whatsoever, except for the final colour choice.

Also, how could there be a continuation at all? Shepard or no Shepard, they destroyed the mass relays.

Don't forget that when mass relays are destroyed they also destroy the system they're in. Kinda like how the Citadel is a giant relay and it was destroyed while in orbit around Earth. Huh.

I've been going about my life today with a much happier demeanor as compared to my woeful miserable existence of yesterday after I actually beat the game... I was wondering why I was feeling so much better since at this point I have no reason to feel better at all... perhaps it is my optimism... perhaps its the fact that I started taking a stand...

But then I realized the only things I did today were chores and the rest of it was me being glued to this forum. Now I suddenly realize this forum is the only thing holding me together... that and hope...

Normally when I experience something that breaks my heart I take my mind off it by playing video games... and the games that always made me feel better were Bioware games... now it's like the fabric of my reality has been torn askew... I cant even bring myself to open a game.

In short: I need help.

I found comfort in going back and playing my favorite scenes; I shot bottles with Garrus, invited Tali back up into my room.... okay, so I mostly just hung with Garrus and Tali, but it worked. I'm calm now. I'm still not happy, but I AM  calm.

Maybe try that. If you have a ton of saves, go pick one close to a scene you enjoyed and just bask in that moment.

When I first stumbled upon Mass Effect 1 and 2, I was like wow, where have you been all my gaming life. And at the end of Mass Effect 3, the feeling is I wish I never met you.

Okay maybe I exaggerated a bit, it's still an amazing game. But please do something about the endings, anything.

Then they should've ended Shepard's story. If they had, in a satisfactory manner, we wouldn't have this thread.

I think after 4 days I'm still sort of in shock. Been getting these moments where I think....the game actually ends with space jesus and different colour explosions. It's so mind numbing that I'm having a hard time to get some sort of understanding....how can you mess things up this bad in just a few minutes.

I'm thinking that after the Reaper started mowing down troops including Shepard, most people were just trying to get the heck out of there despite how out of place and character this is for most characters.

Given the destruction of the mass relays and the apparent elimination of the spacefaring abilities of sentients, to continue the story following the events of Mass Effect 3 would require enormous revisions to the ME universe.  The only real option to continue exploring the galaxy that we all know and love would be to go back in time...or to change the ending.

EDIT:  Then again, even if we were to go back in time, it would still be pointless given that we now know how the cycle ends.

The one thing that has comforted me in all this confusion is the fact that when I finished the game, I went to complain about the ending... and found a few threads already doing this. Now they dominate the front page of this forum. I'm not alone, not at all... And in this real community there is more comraderie than we feel with characters in the ME games, because we've been wronged in a very real way.

I completely agree. I was just pointing out that they never said this was the last Mass Effect game. Even though... I myself am trying to figure out how anything can happen at this point without mass relays...

Haha, and further imply that the "optional" DLC isn't really optional? That'd be great.

Well the optional multiplayer isn't really optional either so at least it'd be consistant

That's what really got me when I thought about it. Your galatic readiness is dependent on you playing multiplayer. You have a 2 day gold subscription with your copy but I sincerely doubt anyway is spending those  2 days of online play entirely devoted to playing the multiplayer.
Maybe you get lucky and get it up to 100% in two days but if you don't your kind of SOL in terms of the endings you will get.

Indeed, Mass Effect 1 was epic, Mass Effect 2 was awesome too, with better game- and gunplay, Mass Effect 3 seemed great right till the very end. So, if I were to pick the left or right paths, the galaxy would be pretty much doomed in one way or another, or I could combine organic and synthetic life to create the ultimate lifeform. Wait, what?

I would have hoped for it to actually make a difference if you skipped some quests or made "bad" decisions in ME1 and ME2, and that was exactly why I made every paragon etc. decision with good outcomes and finished all quests on my 2nd character, hoping that I could get the ultimate ending of "everyone lives, reapers are defeated and life goes on".

Instead, I get this damn ghostly kid who is some kind of god or omnipresence or some crap and have to choose the ending like in the new Deus Ex. Am really disappointed with BioWare on this.

They should've just made the end like in DA:O or the newer Fallout games; just give a slideshow and show us what ultimately happened to everything and everyone. Seriously, those were good endings and I expected nothing less in ME3.

Okay, now that I have vented some, I feel better. I think I'm off to play games with genuine endings.

This offends me SO MUCH. Garrus was my LI; and he has never backed down. Not ever. Not when he was alone and doomed in a tower, surrounded by mercs. Not before Saren. Not during the suicide mission. And in ME3, he tells Shep, "We'll get through this. We always do."

Then in the end, he bails? Skedaddles with the rest of the crew, who have all turned craven and are running like hell, abandoning the Commander who has sacrificed so much for all of them?

My ass.

What terrifies me is the fact that theyv'e dropped numerous hints that the next ME game will be an MMO. Which probably means it'll be set in a new civilzation that's combing the ruins of the one we got to know and love - probably as some marketing ploy for getting new people to come in so they don't have to have any prior knowledge to love the game. That's a damn fallacy if it's the angle they're pursuing, and completely destroys the universe we got to know and love. I will not buy any such game, nor support it any way.
