So, the Alliance comes for Shepard?
So, he/she is on the Normandy now?
WTF!?!
This is making me physically shake... I think I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown.

is this real or somthing somone mad up? well if it is real then bring the last one out first and I (may be able to finish the game and feel a bit better about it even if it is as dodgy as ****) if this is a joke then it isn't funny
Maybe its fake, maybe its not but i dont want a Rescue DLC i want a Ending DLC who start when Harbinger come, without a God Kid, with a final boss and all the stuff about the choices in the previous games. I want what Bioware say they will give to me. Not some BS in the jungle like Arnold in the Predator movie.

I guess an announced DLC is too much to hope for when I wake up, but I', hoping for a positive twitter comment.

Just about everything that has happened with this release....
The 'Leaked' Script
The 'Leaked' Beta
And just about everything else that has been a monumental c***-up of their flagship game...
It seems like this is what may have been planned from the start,
It seems that Bioware knew exactly what the fan reaction was going to be (Seriously, how couldn't they?)
It seems from various twitter posts that the creators don't seem to be that worried that the majority of fans were dissapointed in their game typically there would be damage control, but the distinct lack of damage control is very out of the ordanary.
Maybe they are going with the "All publicity is good publicity" theory (Pretty much most gaming forums around the world are talking about this right now!) and are waiting to give people their intended endings (RE: Michael Gamble's Quote that is in my sig)
This is all probably all just wishful thinking... but it's currently the only explination I can think of as to why what has happened... actually happened...
Welll, Ive been saying sense the beginning that this seems like a move on Biowares part to chase away single player rpg folks in order to move more towards a multi-player online type group.
With the track record of the gaming industry you cant help but be pessimistic. Makes sense with the underhanded crap nowadays. Thats all we need is another fail MMO.

Same here. I was totally expecting a bunch of my choices from ME1 and ME2 to affect the outcome of ME3... but that had nothing to do with it. Bioware really disappointed me. :/

There is absolutely no way to save Mordin and cure Genophage (save Wrex)??
FYI, in the game files, they're referring to that little brat in epilogue as the "Future child".

I would have prefered an ending similar to dragon age origins: a group of text written endings that tells us what happens to the rest of the galaxy after!
The ending CGs and cutscenes were great but.... If ME3 is going to be the last of the series then we need a proper closure. No need for fancy CGs or whatnot, just a couple of text written endings that tells us what happens to the rest of the galaxy after the war. I think having this would be enough to grant us closure. It would be nice to know what happens to the quarians and geth after all our decisions. Or what happens to the krogans and their "new empire" after being free of the genophage (or their extiction). Heck, i wanna know what happens to my squadmates after my "sacrifice"!
Please conisder Devs. I wouldn't demand you guys to re-create an entirely new CG ending to a game. But making a DLC that enables this DAO text-ending feature should be easier AND enough for most of us.
Also, I think the normandy crash scene in the end is [indeed] confusing and posts too many "what-if" questions that mitigates the impact of a "closure".
Actually, I think this isn't enough at all for a lot of us. I know there are others like me that feel there needs to be -other- options in the ending. Like confronting the Cataclyst's flawed statements. Many of us also want the wide range of endings we were promised - a happy one, a failure one, and something in between. This, and past choices making a difference. Is this too much to ask? I don't think so, we're not asking just for our sake, but for the entire Mass Effect universe, which we just can't allow to end like this, considering how amazing it truly is. We are even asking this for Bioware's sake. It is their creation, surely they want to be able to be proud of it? And if it wasn't for this ending they should be.

Wait, what? WHAT? How are we to rescue Shepard in the jungle if he's dead? Is this a kind of Stargate thing where Dr. Jackson dies and ascends then comes back in human form? WHAT?
Confusing, but if true, I'm so down for this.

Both can die. Only one can live.
To save Mordin you have to get Wrex killed on Virmire and dont do his loyalty mission in ME2. It's the only way.

What makes me mad is different posters saying that I shouldn't have expected a "Disney" ending for my Shepard. Why not? The Mass Effect series is about letting the player craft their experience, so why is it unrealistic for wanting the hero wins option. That is how I want the story to end.
And for those out there who prefer an avant-garde "tragic ending," they can always deliberately sabotage their Shepards' efforts so that they get the deliciously dark chocolate they seem to crave so dearly. After all, I deliberately chose to sacrifice my Warden(s) in DA:O, believing that this was the better "lore" option for future generations.
I want the option of a triumphal conclusion, damnit!

You cant save everyone. It's all about choice in a way :
Wrex or Mordin
Thane or Kirahe
Tali or Legion
Ashley or Keidan

I am not saying that this all gamer entitlement, I have actually never seen something like this among gamers but I still want to know what do you all think? Please don't just jump on right away and say no its not, just take a minute to really think about all this. Do we have the right to demand a new ending when we do not own the ip but were promised all these things that didn't exactly happen?
I am just wanting to get everyone to really think about this and observe all of this as best I can. I am a historian and this feels like it could become an important historic moment in gaming. Not sure how many other people involved in this are historians so I want to make sure I document this as best I can.

Exactly, you held the choice. You could sacrifice your warden to end the blight, or do the Dark Ritual regardless of consequences and marry Alistair and become Queen. (Among other endings.)
Also, did anyone notice we got a Mass Effect Version of the blight? All the races were transformed into horrific monsters based on their races.

Okay after reading what was said about all this on destructoid it really got me thinking. I have been against gamer entitlement which I do feel has been on a real rise and is growing out of control. BUT what I really want to know is what everyone here thinks, I want you to really stop think could this all be gamer entitlement. Just because they said that there would be all these different endings depending on your choices does it give us a right to demand a new ending?

We've spent hundreds of hours and dollars supporting and getting invested in this incredibl story, I'd say we're "entitled" to a positive outcome, yes. This isn't a book, this is an RPG. It's supposed to be our story, Bioware just sets up the context. They absolute failed whatever they were trying to do with the ending. They're always so quick to say how much they listen to their fan base, how the fans co-create theese games with them. I think that's enough entitlement.

agree that what ME was if you worked hard enough and made the right choices then you got a happy ending why is that not in ME3 as well.

www.youtube.com/watch
It may be an old song, but somehow it fits perfectly with Mass Effect.
Agreed.
Perfect. I laughed so hard here. If we could play a song while the credits are rolling, THIS would be the song I would choose...
Why not edit a video with the ME3 credits with this song? Will be funny as hell.
Oh + 1 would be amazingand heartbreaking

Mass Effect was about surviving and bringing destruction down on the Reapers.
As Traynor said, I want to rip them in half and watch them blow up.
I fully expected Shepard to die, it was the only logical ending, but not like this. He / She needed to go out with fireworks and the biggest damned explosion the galaxy will ever see, but instead we get these three pissant choices, a broken and battered Shep who just fizzles out...
I made the choice to synthesize, after saving the geth and uniting them with the Quarians, it was the only moral choice I could make. The relays were gone whatever happened, choosing to destroy the Reapers, along with most of the galaxies technology would throw everyone back to the stone age. Taking the control option just felt wrong as we were fighting for freedom, not to control as TIM had tried, so that only left synthesis.
The mass relays were gone anyway, but not the tech, they could be rebuilt (cerberus had made a working ME core in the normandy).
There is a HUGE story left about what happens next, civilisation is in tatters, all the major races have had their homeworlds pretty much destroyed, their populace spread across the cosmos and no fast travel despite any surviving ships, virgin territory for the Krogen or even the Geth to become the dominant force in the galaxy.
And of course, what the hell happens to everyone.
At least in DA1 the ending gave you a short footnote about the main characters, despite Joker, Edi and co landing on whatever planet that was, what about the rest, Hackett, Jack, Jacob, Miranda, etc, etc.
After 5 years and one of the best stories in games playing history (imo at least), I'm sorry to say Bioware, but you screwed this up badly.
The game deserved to go out on a glorious high, with the united races giving the reapers a serving of whoopass, and whether or not Shepard died isnt really the issue, its that inglorious fizzle that you gave us and called it the end.
The point to the games was to fight through adversity and never, ever give up, but you.... you destroyed that, you gave us a conclusion without hope, the end of an icon and a galaxy in ruins.
I will say thank you for bringing us here, but I will never trust you again.
