Accorcding to Steam, I have almost 1000 hours invested in ME1 and 2, I completed each and every achievement, I have Paragon / Renegade toons that made different choices for every single major decision in each game, and in ME I had 1 of each class at L60, before I found out that you could change class at the start of ME2.

I have several Sheps ready to go into ME3, male and female, paragon and renegade, with and without saving the council, the rachni, Wrex, the heretics and the collector base, but there is absolutely no point in playing any of them, because unless BW do something, none of it matters and I wasted (albeit in a fun way) countless hours doing this.

Thanks Bioware for nothing.

You know, one of the worst parts about this for me is that my birthday is this upcoming Monday, March 12th. I took an entire week off of work, planning on spending a large chunk of it going back to my roots and having a video game marathon session for a few days, in which I played the bajeezus out of ME3 and explored all of its awesomeness. Instead... I'm taking up arms in this war to give the game its proper sendoff.

Back on topic: I'm still furious. Bioware clearly violated the writer-reader contract with this lazily slapped-together, inconclusive ending.

To which I just want to say...why? After so many years of giving us control, why jerk it away from us at the last second just to force us to get a "bittersweet" ending. Not that I mind there being one present, and I'd use one in a playthrough, but not ALL my playthroughs.

I'm thinking it sets up sequel opportunities. Heroes win, but now there's a new story to tell... rescuing the heroes, finding new mysterious space tech, etc. etc. And yes I know ME is supposed to be a "trilogy" but whatevs. It'll continue until the money dries up. Cynical? No. Realistically capitalist. Plus the ends do lend themselves to more storyline.

this is fin but why not just set ME 200 years ahead and shep will of died of old age that way he cold of had the ending he erned
