Haha, this is not helping... I'm feeling really bad with the endings, I'm sabotaging myself with sad music and now I'm reading, and re-reading, again, and again TamiBx's post.

I need something to brighten myself. Some humor maybe.

I'm sorry!! Go look up some ME3 memes...oh wait. That's not a good idea. Ok, just look for normal humor.

And on another note, I loved this game. It was the best game ever...up until the very end. Seriously. The action was good, all the "unite the galaxy" was amazing, especially when those who were close to Shepard sacrificed themselves for the cause.

Exactly. The romance subplot in ME3 was definitely my favorite of all the ME games, and it was amazing. Also, the characters have more natural movements and facial expressions, so it made it so much better and cuter. It was well written, and the goodbyes right before the final battle made me cry...:crying:
My mom and I were crying together (yes, I played ME3 with my mom sitting on the couch behind me...the beauty of being on spring break from college)

Me too, especislly with Garrus. I absolutely lost control.

I was crying through that... the voice acting, it was amazing, it felt as though all of my emotions were being passed directly through my Shepard.

When I chose my ending, I was literally sobbing and apologizing to Legion and Edi and everyone who was getting screwed with my decision to destroy the reapers.

I share your pain, such a shame the ending was bad. This game brought out so many different emotions.

I am a hardcore gamer. I haven't played a game for the past few days, I've been stalking these forums, searching for answers. You punks (Bioware) better be joking. YOU BETTER BE JOKING!!!

I haven't been able to play any games....might be awhile before I do.

So true, I feel like I shouldn't get attached to any series like this again.

Hitler finds out about ME3 endings...

Lol! Thank you.

I didn't needed to watch the video, I laughed with the most liked comment.

"You know you've ****ed up a game when your fans are agreeing with Hitler."

True Story.

She was pretty much resigning herself to her death, but still reassured him that even if she didn't make it she would always be watching down at him so he would never be alone.  After all, there is no Shepard without Vakarian. :'{

GAHARRGH!! You're making me start crying again! :crying:

No amount of head-canon can fix this travesty.

Martyr's poll is almost at 12,000 people who want a better ending.

12,000 people BioWare... and that number is growing.

We will hold the line!

I'm gonna go on a personal note here, so please bear with me:

I try to make the galaxy a better place for everyone, where people of all species/beliefs/background can co-exist peacefully and persue happiness together. As you probably have guess I play Paragon. (and I do, mostly)

*SNIP*

As I watched the credits roll, I felt nothing but emptiness.

Maybe I invest myself too much in these things, but I just can't help falling in love with such a great set of characters in such an awesomely crafted univserse.

All I can say is: The ball is in your court BioWare, I anxiously await your response to the feedback left by my fellow players...

Amen to that. My Ariana Shepard worked so hard to be a peacemaker. Her entire life has been devoted to making the galaxy a better place, not just for humans, but for everyone. She saw past the hatred and suspicion of AIs, and formed a close friendship with Legion and EDI. Watching Legion sacrifice himself to save his people, and how he at the very end, referred to himself as "I". The devastation of Thessia almost made her lose hope; she blamed herself for everything that happened to that planet because she hadn't anticipated Cerberus getting there first. She stuck it out anyway, and by the time they made it to Earth, she looked at the fleets, all different races, all united in one purpose, and again felt hope.

And then came the end choice, and all that hope was gone, never to return.

The last line from Shepard about being in heaven and having his back.... Still makes me teary just thinking about it.

I'm getting choked up reading this now.

I thought that the endings were terrible. I don't think it's an overstatement to say that they ruined the franchise for me. I can't envision jumping into any other ME-universe media after that ending. I think that it was bad from a logical, story, and interactive point of view. It didn't feel like Mass Effect, it didn't feel like my Shepard, I didn't really see my choices as substantively mattering, the rationale for it left much to be desired, it didn't seem conclusive, and some aspects just didn't make sense.

I admit that I'd have preferred a 'lighter' ending option where Shepard either lives. That aside, I would have been ok with some ending in which his/her sacrifice is acknowledged by the familiar intergalactic community, and the future of the characters of interest were related to some substantive degree.

My general rule is to always spoil myself on stories prior to indulging in them. Typically I don't like surprises, and how a story ends matters a great deal to me. I didn't do that with ME3, to my sorrow, because I was sure BioWare would provide at least a tolerable ending (from my perspective) to the game and the franchise. If I had known how ME3 ended, honestly I most likely would not have played it.

I'm not going to swear to anything crazy like I'll never buy another BioWare game, but that level of trust is no longer there. Certainly, I'll take a jaundiced eye to, and thoroughly spoil and vet, any of their future games that I might be interested in.

I'm just deeply, deeply disappointed. What in inglorious end to an otherwise glorious franchise.

It does.  I had already started planning a second play through after Palevan.  I was looking forward to it!

Then the "end" came and sapped all desire to replay any of the ME games.  I loved thise series since the beginning and for it to end on such a sour note, it just hurts.

This is why we want a better ending.

I feel the same way, I don't want to play the first 2 if they is no resolution in the end.

Reading through these threads, seeing people have the same emotions I had about moment of the game, this is the true travesty of the ending:

A game that evoked some many different emotions had an emotionless ending.

I've read the whole ending being a hallucination/indoctrination bit so much that I'm believing it our of desperation... it actually has lifted my mood enough to play the multiplayer again.

I hope they read that **** and steal the **** out of it and put into a free DLC.

In other words....

And a DLC is exactly what I want. This is not "CURZE YOU, BIOWARE, A THOUSAND POX UPON YOUR SOX!" but rather a request for them to make ONE final gesture to the benefit of fans who followed this game and took it every bit as seriously as they did, to make it all possible.

This. Very much this.

My younger sister is as much into this universe as I am, maybe even more. I texted her after I finished the game and just said, "Wow" I just wanted to say, "Turn off your system after you 'defeat' TIM," but couldn't bring myself to do it. As painful as it is, she needs to experience the emptiness we all feel. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way and I know she'll be joining us soon.
