more and more pages of people judging with no context whatsoever...gotta love BSN.

Eh, the Mass Relay thing is pretty serious.  I'll admit there's a vague possibility of context changing my mind, but it'd have to be pretty damned good, as in damned near perfect, for me to excuse it.

.........And by damned near perfect, I meanas in "there's an after the credits cutscene of new Mass Relays being built, undoing the damage".......

You're still up, trolling this thread in order to contribute every few pages with a condescending comment?  Whatever gets you off, dude.  The point is, I'm sure the endings will make sense, in context, and I know that the people who have played through have been satisfied.  And I'll probably enjoy the endings and the game itself; I'll reserve judgment of that sort until after I've played it.  But, assuming the leaks are true and these are the only endings, something I was looking forward to, which was an ending with Shepard living out the aftermath of the war with his LI or at least his friends, won't happen, and I'm a little disappointed.  You want to criticize that, go ahead, it certainly doesn't make anyone feel any better.

Why can't the ending be like DA:O? I'd rather just have text and images then this which is almost the same as it seems.

Agreed.  Same with getting some action anytime the Commander wants >=)

No, you are not a Reaper, you controll the Reapers, which means you can use them to cause hell or help rebuild the galaxy. With merge you are dead, gone. Nothing remains. That's why I think controll is the better ending because while yes Shepard is "dead" she/he now has a race that can help everyone rebuild and hopefully find the Normandy.

So what does merge do then?  Kill Shepered but leave the reapers alive to exterminate the galaxy anyway?

It'd be better if Anderson was with Shepard when he gets stranded at the end. They could sit in a cabin as everything burned around them, pass around a bottle of whiskey, and freeze to death, satisfied that they destroyed this Thing known as the reaper invasion. However, each has lingering doubts that the other might have been indoctrinated or someThing.

We worked three games and we don't even get a satisfactory ending? Screw that ****. I'm done with ME. Cancelled my preorder and am moving on. I'm sure plenty of you will respond how I'm some sort of moron and, guess what? I don't give a f***.

I don't care how it goes down, the games are about the team, and destroying that is destroying the spirit of the game.

I just can't believe the mass relays are being destroyed. I could take Shepard dying, Hell I could even take the crew going down too. But to have the Mass relays destroyed ruins the whole universe in my opinion. Any changes we made, any choice we had just seems so pointless.

No, it makes everyone in the galaxy partially synthetic.  But it's totally realistic, in context.

It's not like they didn't warn us in 2007 (I think the commercial aired in 2006 actually)

That commercial let me down.  Nothing like what happened in that commercial actually occured.  Now if we had distress signals sent to us like that, and had to choose to answer them or continue on to something else instead, that'd be awesome.  But alas...

I might just to the same. I have not made my mind yet because I'm still waiting but I don't know for what.

But seriously, if every relay is destroyed, that means nearly every solar system in the galaxy is destroyed. That means only a few species would be around, and they'd assumptiously be species nobody even know about.

Humans, Asari, Turian, Quarian, Geth... That'd be the destruction of nearly a few hundred billion solar systems.

If these endings are true , the game is worth 10 bucks , and it's only that high because i played the other two.

So... regardless of your actions, galactic civilization is cast into a new dark age, Shepard either dies or gets merged with a machine in some manner, and the entire Normandy crew (LI's included) either get husked or starve to death in complete isolation?

Pre-order CANCELLED. I'll reconsider if this turns out to be false. The Raider shotgun isn't worth that risk.

What about the fourth option, Bioware? The one where the Reapers butt the hell out and everyone goes home. If this "technological singularity" is inevitably going to destroy organic civilization in a few thousand years, so be it! Let organic civilization take the lumps for its own short-sightedness. Don't protect us from our own actions. Let us rise or fall on our own merits. Leave us with the CHOICE. Seriously, how patriarchal can you get?

If all life is wiped out in the manner predicted (ludicrous though it may seem), the Reapers can resurrect it with seedships which they'll keep isolated in dark space until needed (if ever). Wiping out civilization hundreds of thousands of times over to offset a hypothetical scenario in which civilization is wiped out a bit more permanently is just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard - it's like a work of bad fan fiction.
