So we can't get the ending we want after all?

I still say everyone is overreacting. The ending was what it was unsatisfactory. Leave it at that you don't need to make a 717 page thread declaring your hatred and and depression from the ending. More than likely their gonna pull a Fallout 3 with an epilogue DLC.
With the amount of people enraged it would be very profitable for EA.
I don't get it. You're saying
"Stop overreacting, you'll get what you want because there's so much of a reaction."
AKA
"Stop doing X, you'll get what you desire because X."
This isn't a 717 page thread because we're not focusing on the ending itself or going off-topic, this is a 717 page thread because there's so many different people outraged at the ending.
He must of been one of the writers.
It sounds a lot like "Synthetics will kill all organics, so I have synthetics kill organics, so synthetics don't kill organics
Sounds familiar?.

I'm just curious, how many people actually saw their companions that went on the run to the conduit with them dead near them? Because in mine, Garrus and Liara were dead and I tripped over Garrus and fell face first into him. I had to stop playing the game at that point to keep myself from ripping the universe apart.
And then I saw Garrus with EDI and Joker in the final scene...
I had a friend of mine tell me he say Garrus and Liara dead in his walk to the Conduit as well...
I didn't see either of them in mine. They vanished. Then, poof, walking out of the Normandy on Gilligans Planet.

In my playthrough Garrus and Tali just vanished, and then I saw them on the Normandy at the end. Really weird. It almost seems like Bioware is up to something...

You sure that was Garrus? I don't remember seeing Garrus or Liara on the ground after Harbinger wrecked my ****. I did see Liara step off of the Normandy though. Explain that one.

I'm 100% it was both Garrus and Liara. No one else has that specialized visor and facepaint or those outfits.

Yep. Garrus & James were in the ground battle with me. They died in the charge. I saw them die, and then heard on the radio that there were no survivors. In the ending cutscene, Joker got off the crashed Normandy with Garrus and James.
Which I suppose lends credence to the "Shepard is dead" theory. Maybe heaven is a lush jungle planet.

Should the indoctrination/hallucination thing be true, then the question to ask would be: Why, Bioware? Why enrage the entire community? Why risk so much for what basically amounts to a massive troll?
The 2 reasons I can think of, as unacceptable as they are, are as follows:
1) Most likely scenario, they ran out of time to finish the proper endings(because EA was forcing them to have the game done by the release date, or some other less likely reason)
2) Bioware, for some reason, wanted the grand finale to go unknown until majority of the Mass Effect playerbase had finished the game. Basically, to avoid spoilers.
Now as to why they have yet to explain this, I do not know. Therein lies the main hole in this theory.
Bioware does like messing with people... ME2.. they show a vid of shep's death... JK.. you get rebuilt.
Bioware MADE THE AI THE KID FROM YOUR DREAMS.... and you don't get it?
Bioware USED THE SLOWMO FROM YOUR DREAMS.... and you don't get it?
It doesn't take a rocket scientist here.. really
I think they needed a way to kill shep without killing the reapers... This answered questions... The kid is Harbinger after all, so take his answers with a grain of salt.. Better then a fade to black.

You just contradicted yourself.
How would EA know about the amount of people that are enraged over this without a 714 page thread?
No I didn't contradict myself I was merely stating an observation of what could result from this fan rage. Resultingly such a DLC would could ease everyone's minds, and due to how much people are craving a different ending EA could capitalize on that.
So we should all just mentally rage over how unsatisfactory the endings are and hope that the telepaths over at BioWare pick up on the bad vibes? Then hope further that they figure out what is causing the bad vibes and release a DLC to ease the bad vibes so they can go back to bending spoons in peace? That's what it sounds like you're suggesting to me and that's stupid. Nothing is ever changed unless people speak up about it. Would black people have rights in America now if they hadn't spoken up 50 years ago? Would the American colonies have effectively separated from England if people hadn't had a rallying cry to stand behind? No, they wouldn't (yes I know it's absurd to compare those events to the ME3 outrage, but it's the big events that people remember). Therefore, if we want Bioware to change ME3 we need to let them know. This thread is as good a way as any other (and better than some I can think of).
back on topic, I beat the game on the seventh and I'm still having trouble accepting that is what they shipped. And when I say "having trouble" I mean like "I'm starting to think I got into a car crash and this is all a coma dream" kind of trouble. Those endings throw nearly every major theme and character in the series under the bus just for the sake of TEH DRAMAZ.

Well, then I have no idea. Maybe it was different choices or EMS, or some other random factor. Doesn't change the ridiculousness of the ending.
