If you can't have Sheppard enjoy post war time with the LI after saving the galaxy, WTF is the point? Bioware you couldn't have written that one up? Don't tell me having a good ending with the LI didn't come up at the meetings.

all bioware has to do is create a tread saying.....don't believe everything you hear unless it comes from us. they are not doing that...this propgates all this unrest.

Why can't Tali, Dianna and Chakwas sleep well?

more and more pages of people judging with no context whatsoever...gotta love BSN.

You're still up, trolling this thread in order to contribute every few pages with a condescending comment?  Whatever gets you off, dude.  The point is, I'm sure the endings will make sense, in context, and I know that the people who have played through have been satisfied.  And I'll probably enjoy the endings and the game itself; I'll reserve judgment of that sort until after I've played it.  But, assuming the leaks are true and these are the only endings, something I was looking forward to, which was an ending with Shepard living out the aftermath of the war with his LI or at least his friends, won't happen, and I'm a little disappointed.  You want to criticize that, go ahead, it certainly doesn't make anyone feel any better.

they don't care how anyone feels , as long as they get to stroke thier bw idols.

yeah seriously....look at Tali, she is my fave character in the series, but fans just ruin her...

If these endings are true, this will be the first BW game where a character and his or her LI do not get to be together in the end in all outcomes. Even the bleak DA2, Hawke and the LI rides off in the sunset. Bioware NEEDS to break their cliches, which old school fans do not get. In fact Bioware was criticized for being too cliched, especially after DAO's release. Just keep filling the Hellforge Bioware Cliche Chart......

Bioware needs an ending like this if its well executed.

With each other?
That may prove to be the best outcome.

:whistle::innocent:

I kind of want to play the game now anyway just so I can write this... bad though it may be, it'd offer some solace.

Though since Shepard surviving actually seems somewhat more depressing than her dying if she's doomed to waste away alone, I suspect there's still some way out of all this.

Why can't Tali, Dianna and Chakwas sleep well?

Tali dies from lack of food, Allers got eaten by a wild animal because she is stupid and Chakwas sadly died from old age. :crying:

(The sad face is for Chakwas, not that cow called Allers)

So... regardless of your actions, galactic civilization is cast into a new dark age, Shepard either dies or gets merged with a machine in some manner, and the entire Normandy crew (LI's included) either get husked or starve to death in complete isolation?

Pre-order CANCELLED. I'll reconsider if this turns out to be false. The Raider shotgun isn't worth that risk.

What about the fourth option, Bioware? The one where the Reapers butt the hell out and everyone goes home. If this "technological singularity" is inevitably going to destroy organic civilization in a few thousand years, so be it! Let organic civilization take the lumps for its own short-sightedness. Don't protect us from our own actions. Let us rise or fall on our own merits. Leave us with the CHOICE. Seriously, how patriarchal can you get?

If all life is wiped out in the manner predicted (ludicrous though it may seem), the Reapers can resurrect it with seedships which they'll keep isolated in dark space until needed (if ever). Wiping out civilization hundreds of thousands of times over to offset a hypothetical scenario in which civilization is wiped out a bit more permanently is just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard - it's like a work of bad fan fiction.

Thanks for writing all this out in a logical manner. I just cancelled my preorder 5 minutes ago, too. Not worth the risk.

Bioware, you have just killed yourself.

Something tells me these "bad endings" are just two possible outcomes out of many, and they (the people who played) only got the bad endings and decided these were the true endings.

I'll play it myself on March 6th and find that happy ending. You'll see.

I'd say it IS "Well Executed" in that it executed the ME franchise quite well :D

But yeah, I don't see how it could be done too well in all seriousness.

Yes, a company "needs" to alienate 90% of the fans of a beloved series.  Look how well it worked for Star Wars.

True, because they were Star Wars.  And Mass Effect 3 is going to sell well too.  But George Lucas's reputation has suffered quite a bit, to the point where he's now a frequent example of how hubris can turn an excellent writer into a joke.

A lot of fans just want stagnantion and BW doesn't want to do this anymore.
