Some people are already hypothesizing about the current ending to be a development of indoctrination. If that is the case, Bioware has outdone itself and we can expect something very profound to happen in the coming weeks or so. Imagine feeling the rage you do now to suddenly find out that it was all planned to invoke such a reaction in order to stage the grand finale.

I would not put it past Bioware. In fact I would almost expect it. Still we won't know until they let us know what is happening. I'm still holding out and putting some faith in Bioware. The game before the last 15 minutes or so was amazing. I can only think we should be seeing a few more tricks up the company's sleeves before this is done.

that would be so ****ed up brilliantly good to make the player relate to sheps experience having this "nightmare", this indoctrination happening to him, choices which pretty much throw out EVERYTHING he did up to this point. just some reaper trying to save his ass in the last minute, just to wake up and destroying the reapers  WITHOUT a chance someone could spoil the ending.

brilliant.
but kinda wishfull thinking.

There were such emotional moments during the game. even shed some tears on thanes deathbed.
But the ending just raised my ragelevel over 9000 .....

It was an awesome game (not perfect, but still awesome) until the moment you get hit by the red beam in london.

Storming with the army to reach the light, red light beams hitting the ground near to me. Such a good atmosphere. And after that? I woke up, didn't care for my love interest that was with me on the mission. (ok, stopping reaper may be more important, but ....)

liked the moment with Andersson sitting next to each other and watching the earth, too. And then they did it again and destroyed and removed all my emotions!

The ragelevel instantly doubled when i played the ending again (why can't i save, skip any of the movies, or walk faster?????????????) just to see a colorchange of the beam destroying all the progress i made spending ~100h playing with my shepard.

I say it again - please, nobody take this personal - but be civil to each other and Bioware. Spamming, trolling and even posting those war assets is hurting this cause more then it helps.

This is not related to any specific post on the past page(s) but on a general trend the last 20 something pages in this thread.

At least, at this moment it doesn't really matter anymore if Bioware changes anything. It's a fact that this outcry of a disappointed Community was/is heard worldwide.

And it WILL bring developers to start thinking more about what their fans want instead of what they think is good for a franchise.

Be proud of yourselves - you just made gaming history. And this goes for Bioware too.
Thank you for Mass Effect and this Community.

I'm completely confused by my ending. I saved the Collector Base, had a EMS of ~6500, and chose to take the path on the right. Did I just destroy every mass relay in the galaxy and leave billions stranded in the Sol System without the resources to rebuild any of their worlds? Why did Joker, Ashley, and Javik end up stranded on a tropical planet? Is my Shepard still alive and where is he? What would have happened if I'd chosen synthesis or control with my choices?

If someone could actually answer those, I'd love you forever. Overall, I was left feeling deeply unsatisfied as soon as I started talking to the Catalyst.

Basicly the exact samething happens just its a green or blue lightshow instead or red(reapers fly away instead of explode but thats the only real diff)

Also keep in mind that the max war assets requirements only begin to start making a difference as far as whether he survives when you choose destroy the reapers. Maybe the assets might offer some hope to shepard. Some way for him to bolster his psyche against indoctrination.

This is all supposition. But like I said, im hopeful.

Wow. An awful lot of time and effort went into that. Its an unbelievable ending. I'd really enjoy this.

Did they ever explain where the reapers and the mass relays and citadel came from? And who was that god child? Was he the citadels AI or something? And what was with the fauly reasoning he used at the end? "To keep synthetics from killing all organincs, i have synthetics kill organics." wat? I'm so confused on what happened.

The reapers were the ones that were supposed to have contructed all of it.
It says they did in Mass Effect 1.

I get wanting to contain Shepard's story to the trilogy, and I get that sacrifice is the only way to ensure survival, but it needs to be coherent and keep continuity. How could Liara be on the ground with me at the reaper blast and then be on a ship in deep space? why was joker even trying to go through a mass relay. Essentially, everyone gets stuck in the Sol System? None of this makes much sense.

The entire game had such great pacing and story, and it ended with the most confusing and downer of an ending I can think of in recent memory. It kind of puts a bitter taste on the whole thing.

Thats a good point, though from the visual queues it seems like the indoctrination would have kicked into high gear around Rannoch and his talk with the dying reaper. (if that's actually what is happening). But not fully until he charged the beam. Meaning he did survive the beam but didn't make it to the citadel just yet.

Like i said I don't know if thats the case. I don't know what they have planned or even if they have plans. But I do intend on giving them a little time to come out with at least a statement. Until then I stand firmly on the "ending suck, fix it"  bandwagon.

We must stand together and let bioware know we are serious about this, we will not stand for these BS endings.

So, if a DLC does come out to fix the endings should we buy it? I mean is this EA's plan all along?

Just finished the game and boy am I an angry gamer (something that I have never ben before)... never before hasd a game ending made me this furious...What I want is an option to have a nice ending...
I honestly think BW can fix this in 2 ways
1. have a DLC that gives us 2 new endings and have them tied to how much we compete the game. The first being a complete victory for the Reapers if we do not aquire enough war assets and the Second one would be one in which you end up with your love interst (or even a mass happy ending)...even if it is activated through t he NG+

Option 2 would be a DLC adds a new ending on the lijnes of the indoctination thread.

BW I am not happy and I consider myself a normally very happy gamer with huge loyalty...
please fix this...I honestly think you owe iut to your fans to do this...
as a society we need to move away ffrom doom and gloom... the best ending for this game would actually be if The Reapers were defeated utterly - but the Galactic Alliance falls apart due to no real threat - which could lead into a 2nd trilogy inwhich a new threat emerges and a new hero rise to face it

but until the game has an ending in which the galaxy functions as it was losely before thre reapers came thius trilogy is unfnished,,,

I dont know. The indoc proposals sound awesome if they're true, but if they're true, they're too subtle. and theres still huge loopholes. all over the place. Bioware isnt stupid. They know that too subtle is bad for business ( which is why most companies treat consumers like idiots ), but they also know that we arent your normal consumers.
People in general with their games dont want subtle. Hell, most of us spend our days inside computers or networks or patients heads searching for those subtleties, and after work, who wants to look for subtle?? But, yeah.. i dont know..
