So, if a DLC does come out to fix the endings should we buy it? I mean is this EA's plan all along?

I paid over 100$ to play ME3.

You know what it'd feel like if they'd make me buy a better ending?

I'd consider it an honor to be slapped by Peter Dinklage...

But not by Bioware/EA, I'm sure.

Certainly not. I think we're accidentally going to plaster this page of the thread with this GIF. I hope someone makes a photoshopped version with Wrex slapping Udina... I'd settle for anyone slapping Udina, really. Or Kai Leng.

No such thing as a good ending. It was bad and it ruined the franchise for me.

I'm going to quote Mike Gamble's interview in 360 Magazine.(uk edition 97) because it ended with this question:

360: 'How are you going to end the story in a satisfactory way?'

Mike Gamble: ... 'There are many different endings. We wouldn't do it any other way. How could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can't say any more than that ...'

Was what he said misrepresented by the journalist? They did call him the producer on Mass Effect after all.

At the time I read this I had a GAME pre-order for the CE (ordered June 2011) and hope for massive re-playability in ME3.

Having a choice between 5 or 7 shades of grey is not satisfactory because grey is grey. Where is the choice between grey and yellow or purple or ...? That would be real choice. Now I have seen the shades of ending the only purpose in re-playing the game would be for the satisfaction of getting all the achievements *sigh*.

(Apologies if MG's interview statement has already been quoted)

Why thank you :)

It's possible, by the way, that MG lied in that interviwe. I'd certainly call the ending we got a "bedspoke". Then again, he has also hinted at something else in the works... but why the hell should we have to pay for something else? I know, this is just me rehashing something I've said plenty of times before and other people have said plenty of times as well. But... whatever! It should continue to be said. Because if words aren't said, and thoughts don't carry on, they lose their power.

Not much to say that hasn't been said already. I'm so disappointed in the ending, because the game itself before that delivered so well..!

I guess I remember endings like the ones from the Baldur's Gate series, Hordes of the Underdark and the first Dragon Age. Those games brought a closure to the finish that, while making you emotional to some extent, made you feel satisfied for having played through the games.

I've played through ME 1&2 several times and enjoyed the DLC like I didn't think possible. I thought it'd be the same with ME3. But now..? I don't want to play any of the three games now.

I'd pay for a DLC to solve it, the ME-series are actually worth that. But before that happens, I doubt that the ME-series will be more then a glorified bookshelf filler now.

A game can afford happy endings. That's what's so nice about them, to hold on to the thought that you can make this end happily if you really put in your effort. Especially in long term things like this series.

Now? No matter how much effort you put in, your endings will leave you with no closure and not satisfaction.

I wouldn't be supprised. The developers for DA2 promised a lot, but didn't deliver.

I loved this game, this series, up until my FemShep went to the Citadel and then everything fell apart. At that point, I think I will reject Bioware's reality and insert my own. With better endings. And hope.

Where do I sign the petition to change the endings or at least add in a less bleak one? With Shepard talking about hope so much, couldn't BioWare spare a bit for the players? Yeesh.

Loved the game, hated the ending/s. I mean why is the Normandy stranded no matter what?

I'd like to point out, since it seems to be ignored, that if the Mass Relays take out entire star systems when they're destroyed, Earth and Mars are completely screwed. Not only is the Citadel a relay, it's parked right above Earth! And even if the Citadel doesn't suffer that same system-killing explosion, the Charon relay should! Good job blowing up Earth and everyone and everything, Shepard.

Then look no further!

Freshly uploaded: www.youtube.com/watch

A fan-made ending I created to replace the one Bioware used to taint an
otherwise epic game. Hopefully others enjoy this as much as I do! I did
the best with what resources I could use to make it.

I imagined this taking place right after Shepard and Anderson were sitting down
looking at Earth, replacing the rest of the game after it. Still shows
reapers getting defeated (relays and citadel intact), some squad talk,
and something of a conclusion. Also means the galaxy is not screwed
nearly as bad as it was in the end of the original game.

Not to mention all the radioactive fallout on all of these worlds... Tuchanka's not going to be the only nuclear wasteland anymore, even if every system with a relay in it isn't destroyed. This is honestly the worst possible way they could've ended the game. It's either completely inconsistent with the game universe, or the galaxy is destroyed. I choose the third option, like my Shepard would do.

You can't blame poor Shepard for what happened. The only one to blame is Bioware.

You know... not knowing whether or not we're having any real impact at BW is kinda like playing the slowest, most high-stakes game of Battleship possible.

I know, it sucks not knowing if we're even having an impact. But a new week is starting, so maybe in a few days we'll here at least something. At this point I'd like to hear anything, even if they just told us "tough luck".

Yeah... though I guess my simile falls a little flat given how if they tell us "tough luck" it annihilates our fleet.

I suppose you're right. If that's the answer we get, it'll be time to completely shift to fandom canon and ignore any further output. Hell, maybe even get an unlicensed and completely free Pen and Paper system going...

That they'd only lose 1% of future sales?

Edit: eep sorry for two posts in a row! My previous post hadn't come up after refreshing for a few minutes so I posted a second one. Otherwise I would've just edited the first T_T
