100 years later, Liara tells the little blue babie "This was your father" was much better than that damned grandfather!
Exactly. If Shep has to die, at least give me and my bloody LI a child who lives with the mother and leaves me hope and ends with a bloody positive note.
Or you know, do like i was hoping that it is going to be like with the best ending that Shep lives, we defeat the Reapers and i live with my LI and have kids and it we see what happened to the squad mates who survived.
But yea, the ending they gave us sucked. The reast of the game was AMAZING, no doubt, but the ending has to be the worst thing i have ever experienced.
The game does not receive strong negative review, because it does not.
Bioware, but it was so hard to 3 end die-live-open by showing the consequences and the fate of his companions?
Not an single open ended, poorly written, and duplicated with 3 different colors...
Now they talk of how good is the game, but rushed for 5 minutes without talking about this.
I would be silent as well if I was Bioware. They're not going to release a new ending, so they have to come up with just the right thing to not ****** off people even more...not the easiest thing to do when all you have is bad news.
Well, if their intention with the way they wrapped up the series was this reaction, then they should just come clean and say that there responses was what they were aiming for. On the other hand i cant see why its such a taboo for a company to say that they might have got it wrong, sometimes things are just not as great as you thought and thats why you have feedback like this. I think everyone can respect honesty, and i dont think a carefully crafted retorically cunning response is the way to go. I want them to be upfront about it
Well, it took me a while to jump in, but I'm here.
Now, my thoughts.
Hated the ending. I completed the game on the 8th. I uninstalled them all on the 9th.
This was rash, I know that now, but for the Trilogy to end this way was wrong. I sat on the Citadel for some time before I acted. It wasn't right. After the credits rolled I could not shake the pit in my stomach. But there was something else bothering me and it took me a few days to sort it out.
So after the anger, sadness, and mourning of the ME Trilogy softened; Not Shep, not crew or countless lost, but the entire universe, as I felt all replayability was gone, I began stewing over the oddities...
The boy: My Shep would never have PTSD. She is a Paragade, and as tough as all hell. Her reaction was OOC. The dreams, OOC. I can see some people's Sheps reacting to this, not mine. She'll mourn when the job is done, period! So why was it there? Why dream about this boy that would never mean a thing to her more than a mass prayer to the fallen? Why not Kaidan, Saren, or someone else she actually had emotional ties too. It was out of place.
Dr. Chakwas: Red flag. Checking the tech. Someone asked why Shep was more vulnerable. She has reaper tech inside her from the Lazerus Project.
Ash: not giving up doubts of Sheps loyalty. She (being my VS) is the best friend Shep could ever have and she doesn't even know it.
Shep with the kid burning: Way out there... to out there for it not to mean something. I was so sick of that brat when that dream hit I dismissed it. Big mistake. Why won't they stop talking!
Jump to Earth...
The oddity of conversations with the squad. Especially Vega.
Hit and regain consciousness; I've heard that radio chatter before? Dismissed it. Why am I not dead? Where is my squad? Bodies? Single shot kills to the husks? No biotic powers? No armor. No hud. Not possible.
Anderson: He is a key piece if evidence that the events about to take place cannot actually be an in game reality. He is not a ground soldier. He commands the unit. He's not wearing armor and is not part of the assault team. He would have hung back, even if he was advancing with the group... H is nowhere neat the beam to the citadel and could not have gotten there before me.
If he had found me unconscious; given he got there first, he's have woke me. On the Citadel, same thing. Anderson wouldn't have left me for dead.
TIM: He could be there, if it was reality, but he's not. He's the devil. Anderson is the Angel. Elements of my subconscious mind that pull at me to make a decision, both pushing for two of the three options available.
Being partially indoctrinated, subconscious manifestations can't be trusted. All three of these elements; the Boy, Anderson and Tim... they all dissuade Shep from the very thing he/she had set out to do; Destroy the reapers. Stay focused!
Control: I just told TIM he can't - what makes me think I can?
Merge: What is a Reaper?
Destroy:
Crucible: It will kill all synthetics...
Shep: 'Hostages only work when your enemy cares if they live.'
She killed Anderson. She killed Tim She killed the Reapers.
Now I'll do the latter in game (reality) once I've woken up from this hallucination and attempted indoctrination.
'No synthetics died, no relays were destroyed during this Harbinger presentation'
Hope flickers on...
However, I will not pay for the real ending/epilogue. BW owes us that. I'm hoping it's just unlocked at a later date. Shep never left earth, so when the day comes to pass and He/She finishes waking, If nobody did actually get to the Citadel, there will be work to do.
It doesn't make any sense the ending that is. Why would BW invest so much money in this series to have it conclude this way? How will other games be made? Mass Relays are gone, most of the alien species are stuck in the SOL system. Seriously how does this series move forward after a atrocious ending?
All this talk about a Happy Ending DLC [tries to say without giggling], but where's my Bad Ending DLC? My choices (and by extension happy ending) mean nothing unless I know I could have completely f****d it all up, and have the reapers win.
We are fighting for both. Happy or sad. we want options. more options than what color do you want your space magic to be?
I mostly liked the ending, except for the mass relays exploding, just not necessary, and Joker suddenly running away doesn't make sense either. The kid construct was a bit over the top, why would the entity materialize itself as a child? I would appreciate BW doing something about the current ending, not enough IMO.
come on man.. give us a Paragon ending. reapers die everyone else survives intact including the geth and EDI. all crew gets together again, settles down for a few years untill a new threat arrives and u can continue the story!

SSV Orlová reports back news, why we still more believe in hallucinations/indoctrination
I believe that is it hallucination/indoctrination due to Shepard's dreams. Do you remember how they looked and how it looked when Illusive Man tried control Shepard?
The whisper every where around, Reapers tried control Shepard all the time using the weakness in Shepard's mind.
You are strong as your mind is.
People try stop and think about all what happend in ME3, try to play it again as I did(I played from save before attack on Cerberus)
It makes sense
BioWare played with our mind and they played great(700+ pages about ending)
SSV Orlová is returning back to searching for the Reapers and fighting with them.
So, is BioWare going to ignore the massive poll numbers about the ending? Over 14.000 votes so far, 87% want a better ending. Only 3% are okay with the ending.
So, if a DLC does come out to fix the endings should we buy it? I mean is this EA's plan all along?
I don't care how wrong it would be, I'd buy it anyway. I'd have to. Can't let it end like this.
I wouldn't buy it. They already destroyed the entire series in my opinon. I already deleted and destroyed all copies I have of ME1, 2 and 3. I'd demand my money back on the entire series if I could.
So like the vast majority of people on here I was extremely disappointed with the ending(s) of Mass Effect 3, so have made a retconned version of it from the source material which, while slightly improved, still feels like a massive kick in the quad. If you're interested you can watch it at
The changes I have made are:
1. Removing the references to ALL synthetic life being destroyed, therefore not killing the Geth. Only the Reapers are mentioned as being eliminated in the "Destroy" option now.
2. Removing the references to the Mass Relays being destroyed. This includes trying to cut out the part in the cinematic where the Charon relay explodes.
3. Cutting the entire scene of the Normandy trying to escape the shockwave in FTL. This scene makes no sense whatsoever and can go to hell.
4. Removing the camera pan to where you can see another planet/moon in the sky after the Normandy has crash landed. Everything else in the scene looks like it could be on Earth, so in my mind the retconned version is that the Normandy came to pick up the squad members who managed to escape Harbinger's attack, but took damage while trying to leave the atmosphere and crash landed.
Unfortunately video editing is not my forte so the music will be off where I have made the cuts. The point of this video was to show that even with minor alterations the ending can be more satisfying, and if I can do this in 15 minutes then Bioware should have put in the time to make a far superior conclusion to the trilogy than their current effort.
I'm just hoping this is all one massive troll by Bioware and that the hallucination/indoctrination theories turn out to be correct.
I'd be interested to know what you guys think.

Alright, after a good nights sleep I woke up this morning and realized what is bugging me so much and what I'm fighting for here.
It isn't just that the ending was bad, it's also how destructive it was. In game it was destructive, yes, but I'm talking about real life.
Many of us have expressed how anxious we were to import/play one of our other characters or start on insane mode, or NG+. Right up until the very end we were thinking this, wanted this and were looking forward to it. Then we saw the ending. And everything changed.
The ending didn't just ruin the game, it ruined the entire series. And that is what has me upset. I want to love this game, I want to play again. I want back all the love and passion I felt for this series that had me playing it over and over.
And it seems all of that could be possible, if we just receive a better/different ending.
So that's what having a different ending means to me. It would give back what I lost. The slogan for the game was "Take Earth Back", so I'm asking Bioware, "Take the fan Back". I want you to do that, I ask you to do that, I beg you to do that. It would mean so much, to many of us.
